Description

Immediately upon entering our home, you will see the spectacular view overlooking Cape Cod Bay through sliding doors in the living room, dining room, breakfast room, and kitchen. The main floor master bedroom with king size bed has a partial water view. Upstairs are two more bedrooms. The one on the water side with a queen size bed has a full water view plus a deck overlooking the bay. The second upstairs bedroom has twin beds with a very limited water view. Each bedroom has its own bath with tub and shower as well as a main floor half bath. There is a queen size sofa bed in the living room. Our kitchen and laundry room are fully equipped and ready for your use. We provide all soaps, linens, towels, and beach chairs as well.

The back yard is a vacation paradise. Our swimming pool overlooks the view, and there are plenty of places to sit and look at the water. A stairway leads directly to our beach. There is also a deck at the top of our revetment wall overlooking the beach! After a swim, the outdoor shower is there for your use.

We are located in a private neighborhood half way between Mayflower Beach and Corporation Beach. It is within walking distance of Dennis Village where you will find restaurants, shops including a grocery store, a post office, and the Dennis Playhouse Complex with a summer theatre, movie theatre, museum and restaurant. All of this is removed from the crowded areas found in the summer on the Cape.

    Spectacular view

This was our first stay at this vacation home and we enjoyed it very much. The views from inside and outside the house were beautiful. The home was spacious and very clean. Owners were generous in supplying towels and toiletries. We would definitely stay again.

    September Rental

We loved the house and the location. I have rented many of the houses on this beach over the years and this one stands at the the top. The owners were very nice to work with and left the house very clean and well stocked with everything you need to feel right at home. Truly a relaxing and fun vacation that I look forward to doing again.

    Slice of Heaven

We have just returned from our stay here and are missing our little slice of heaven already. It's hard to say what THE BEST thing is about this property..... 24 hour views of the ocean, steps away from the Private beach, listening to the ocean waves at night. Take your pick. The house was very clean with plenty of space for all 8 of us. The owners were very nice and were available to answer any and all questions we had during our stay. I would highly recommend this property! We can't wait to go back! show more show less

    The Best of Both Worlds

If you are looking for a vacation with options, this is the place! During low tides, hang at the beach and walk the sandy beach. Then during high tides, spend time by the pool. This home was just perfect for our family. It was in a great location of Cape Cod, but there was no real reason to go anywhere. We spent time fishing, hanging by the pool and staring at the water. We hope to be back real soon.

Everything i had hoped for and more!!!

This was our first time visiting Cape Cod and it was everything i had dreamed, starting with this house located in the sleepy historic region of Dennis, MA. The house is beautiful with amazing views, a pool and a private beach! We felt at home right away. The house was tidy and clean upon arrival and well furnished with towels, sheets, detergent, cleaning supplies and beach chairs so packing was much lighter!! The first night we arrived we went crab hunting with our 6&7 year old as the tide had gone out at sunset and the girls were thrilled! The pool was a perfect fit for our family as we could spend half the day at the beach (depending on tide, we were mesmerized by the tides and how they changed with the moon...amazing!) and the other half at the pool! There were great restaurants very close and the Dennis Market within minutes which has everything you need. Being middle of the Cape it was a perfect location for day trips! We did Hyannis one day (30 minute drive) and Provincetown (which the owners kindly recommended) for a whale watch! The whale watch is a must see!!

Our first visit to Cape Cod is not our last as we have already booked this house for next summer!

The Very Best of Cape Cod

We have had the privilege of renting this home during each of the last 5 summers. It sits above what arguably is the Cape's most outstanding beach, with inspiring sunrises to the east and spectacular sunsets to the west. When the tide goes out, it is especially picturesque and, even at high tide, the views are stunning. You will spend your days watching what happens on Cape Cod Bay, whether it be the fishing boats, the parasailers, paddle boarders, the dinner cruises, etc.

The pool is an amazing and sparkling clean complement to the beach, the perfect respite after a day at the beach or a delightful place to lounge all day if you don't want to get your feet sandy.

The home is located on a quiet street in Dennis and you can walk to the Village where you can enjoy great restaurants, antique shops, and the nation's oldest summer theater (The Cape Playhouse). Dennis is a great destination also because it has two fantastic public golf courses as well as Scargo Lake, a pristine freshwater lake for swimming and fishing.

The owners of this delightful home have maintained it meticulously. New stairs heading down to the beach, lovely landscaping, a new grill, upgraded wireless service, new siding, and we love the outdoor shower. And we have always found the home to be spotless when we arrive, complete with virtually everything you need to enjoy the home, including great TV reception and internet and a fully equipped kitchen. The master suite on the first floor is super comfortable and accommodating and the master suite upstairs has the lovely bay breezes and view off a small balcony. The second floor also has another bedroom with its own bath with two twin beds. We also love the eat in area off the kitchen and overlooking the pool. Great spot to watch the boats head out in the morning while you have your coffee and read the paper and an even better spot for family card games or Scrabble in the evening.

The owners also are a pleasure to deal with. Always a fast response and answers to any questions. We intend to return here as often as we can!

    The Perfect View

We went on a family vacation to stay on Hiram Pond Road. The view of the water, blue sky and amazing sunsets were just perfect. This is a great location. We were just steps away from the beach. We loved the deck halfway down the stairs. It is a great place to relax and watch the kids on the beach during the day and a nice place to have an evening cocktail! The toughest decision of the day for the kids was whether they should enjoy the pool or go to the beach. The house is very spacious and stocked with everything you need.

This is a great central location on the Cape. We took day trips to Chatham and Hyannis. Great shopping and eating in both locations. We were close to several great restaurants and shops along 6A. The best ice cream ever at the Smuggler!

We will definitely be back and hope to bring some friends with us next year. This place is too good not to share!

Spectacular week - we've already requested next year!

We've heard friends talk about all the magical years they've spent on Cape Cod with their families on this particular beach - the one with giant granite rock - between Corporation and Mayflower Beaches and after our week we agree -- it's simply a terrific location and very nice beachfront home.

The home is very open, clean and comfortable with sensational views of Cape Cod Bay. Each night we had spectacular sunsets while we ate our late vacation dinners! The bedrooms are nice with lots of closet space -- we especially liked that all have private bathrooms. The 2nd floor "ocean-view suite" with the deck is great to enjoy the sunset and stars at night. The first floor suite is huge and was perfect for our auntie. The lower level was the tween hangout. There is lots of space in this home for everyone to do their own thing.

The kitchen was nicely stocked and the sunny breakfast room was the kid's favorite - it was next to the pool. It's a perfect beachside pool -- tide comes in and it's pool time. Tides goes out and it's beach time...and what a great sandy beach! Miles of it in either direction. We played lots of beach wiffle ball & soccer and the home has a bocce set. The kids swam to the rock, hunted for crabs and built sand castles all day. The June water was a pleasant surprise.

We walked for miles on the beach. It was good we did - the area is a total Cape foodie mecca - fresh donuts on 6A, check; world class lobster rolls at Sesuit Harbor Cafe (5 mins away) check; incredible (and romantic) Gina's by the Sea (less than 10 minutes), check; two great ice cream places (the Smuggler & Capt Frosty's), double check!

What really surprised us the most was the location - you don't need to spend time driving or locked in the kitchen. In the quiet neighborhood off the beach, shopping, restaurants (& ice cream) and the Cape Playhouse & Theater are really close by. We rented bikes for few days and rode around the neighborhood and then on the "rail-trail". And we took short and very scenic drives to Brewster, Sesuit and Barnstable Harbors stopping at antique shops along 6A.

A few extra things we liked: my wife and I loved the ease and security of the "drive-thru" garage; the outdoor shower; free wifi (for when we needed it), a nice stash of summer reading (Thoreau's "Cape Cod") and the "cocktail deck" half way down the stairs. The owners were easy to work with and stayed in touch after we made our paid reservation.

We would highly recommend this vacation home. We found it's actually reasonably priced for such a nice area and private beach. My wife booked time in the fall and we've already inquired about next summer.

Five generations of our family have enjoyed time at our Cape Cod home. We have enjoyed being at the house since my parents bought it in the 1970's. Currently it is owned by my parents' descendents and all of us enjoy traveling each year from New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, and Florida to spend time at our home away from home. It is not just a wonderful place to be but brings back many happy memories. If you rent this house, you will see what a wonderful place it is.

What is special about this property?
The most special thing about our house is the wonderful location overlooking Cape Cod Bay. Even during the summer months, when the Cape is most crowded, we have privacy and a great beach plus our pool. The view from most rooms in the house is spectacular and sitting on our deck overlooking the beach is a beautiful spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The walking on the beach is great fun. At low tide we can walk for hours without being blocked by inlets, etc.

What is special about your town?
Dennis is a nice little town. It is in the heart of the historic district. We are within walking distance of town and often walk over to the donut/coffee shop for donuts in the morning. There are some nice shops in town and several good restaurants. The oldest summer theatre in the country is also in town. It is part of the Cape Cod Playhouse Complex. The theatre offers stage plays through the summer season. There is also a very unique historic movie theatre on the grounds and an art museum plus an excellent restaurant. It is a great place to visit and you never have to leave the area unless you choose to.
