We recently stayed at the highlands haven and truly loved it! The house was beautiful and very spacious! Our two dogs loved the yard and enjoyed spending time out there while we relaxed on the deck or patio! It was fully stocked with kitchen utensils, games and books. The neighborhood was quiet and nice yet close to many great restaurants and beaches! We loved visiting Mayflower beach and truly enjoyed our time there. The owners binder had several great suggestions of local places that we tried and enjoyed all of them! We would definitely recommend the highlands haven!

Just back from a week at Highland Haven and couldn't be more impressed. We were with our daughter, son in law, and dog. This property is well laid out, beautifully and thoughtfully appointed, and meticulously clean. The fully fenced yard is large and well maintained. Quiet and lovely neighborhood near great places to eat and quick drive to several beaches. We have also stayed at Scott's other property on Long Pond in Yarmouth. That is equally beautiful and well maintained, with a great lay out; we prefer the quieter neighborhood of East Dennis but anytime Scott is the property owner, you can be assured of a great stay!

Had an amazing 2 weeks at Scott's house in Dennis! The house is very spacious. There are 3 floors ,3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms which give privacy to the guests.The mattresses are very comfortable. My doodle Jackson loved the enormous fenced in backyard. The neighborhood is also great for dog walking. The large porch with retractable awning was perfect for pizza party and friend gatherings,along with early morning sun block and rain block when needed! Split A/C thru out house give temperature control to all guests! Location fantastic. Close to Mayflower beach although it fills up usually by 10AM. Another great beach,especially for little ones or older adults is West Dennis beach. It has parking all along the beach,snack bar and 3 bathrooms. Very little walking from car to sand and doesn't fill up. Wind and Kite surfers at the end are beautiful to watch. Peterson's market 1 mile away for groceries and excellent pizza ! Howl a Day Inn is 15 minutes away and is a great doggy day care if needed, just call to book in advance. They are very flexible with drop offs and pickup is by 6 pm unless boarding. Cobies in Brewster for fresh and fried seafood,museum of Natural history and Whydahs pirate museum are all recommended! Marconi beach and P town too! Already booked again for next year,thanks Scott!!

With many previous rental on the Cape and The Islands, we found this rental to be the best! The property was clean and very well appointed including the kitchen which was well equipped with all the cooking essentials for a gourmet cook. The layout of the home has three floors, including the finished walk out basement to the large back fenced yard, fire pit, and composite deck with seating for six which was perfect. The home has updated furniture, comfortable bedding and quality linen service including fabulous Turkish Towels. Although we do not have a dog, this unit is also pet friendly. We did not see one dog hair. It was 100% clean as a whistle upon our arrival.
There is a surround sound stereo, four smart TV's, games for the kids and adults, and many books to read. The bedrooms are all spacious and adorned with beautiful bedding and furniture which is unusual to see in a rental. Three full baths, one on all three levels of living and new front loading washer and dryer. The owners welcome manual was the best we have seen with insight to the local area from restaurants to services and a detailed description of the home amenities. Mayflower beach is one of the cleanest beaches we have seen on the Cape. Just a four minute drive from the house. We highly recommend this rental. Thank you Scott. It was our first time in Highlands Haven and loved every minute of it. Scott, the Host, thought of everything to make his guests feel welcome. The décor is both, beautiful and functional. The home is cozy and spacious at the same time. It is just as described and more! There are different forms of art sprinkled around (i.e., glass figurines and prints), comfortable armchairs with whimsical accent pillows, incredibly plush bed linens on not too soft but not too hard mattresses, sparkling clean bathrooms, and a well-stocked perfectly appointed kitchen. The outdoor space offers a large fenced-in backyard, for our labradoodle's enjoyment, an easily accessible outdoor shower (LOVED the rain shower head outfitted with a handheld option that is also available in the first-floor bathroom), plenty seating on the composite deck with a retractable awning, or in Adirondack chairs on ground level around the firepit. There's a hammock and a cloth line.
And, there's the location...the home is in a quiet neighborhood where we met some friendly locals. We were able to bike to the incredible Mayflower Beach when we didn't feel like driving the 2 miles. We also discovered Princess Beach, a quaint local treasure, on Scargo lake, which offered surprisingly warm fresh water. Our favorite restaurant Clancy's catered to gluten-free dietary needs, and we preferred the Ice Cream Smuggler to the CC Creamery for treats. We were able to do quick excursions to Chatham and Brewster without sacrificing a whole day on travel. Our week flew by, and we are planning to be back next summer.

This house was wonderful and set up so well! Everything we needed was already in the house and the bedrooms were so quaint and comfortable! The separate zoned a/c units were very nice…definitely nicer than central air for the entire house on one setting. The finished basement and yard gave so much space for relaxing and having fun. Scott is a great owner to work with…very accommodating and quick to respond to any concerns. The keyless entry was also great…so much easier than dealing with keys! I would gladly book here again!!

Great house! Great deck! Great yard! This house felt more like a "home" as it was very comfortable, clean, and well furnished. We would definitely choose to rent this property again should our future travel plans include Cape Cod.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is gorgeous, very clean, and updated with keen decorative detail. Everything you could possibly need is here from kitchen necessities, books, games, firepit (which we used every night), a gorgeous Trex deck and best of all ... only 2 short miles to Mayflower beach! Also, Captain Frosty's is just down the street (the clam chowder is soooo good). Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out and also to gather. This was our first vacation bringing our Golden Retriever and she loved running free in the backyard and chasing bunnies. The crate was already set up in the house for her - so convenient. We highly recommend staying at Highlands Haven!

We had a great experience at Highlands Haven. Host, Scott, was responsive and thoughtful in his outreach, and had thought of everything for the house. Very well-appointed, the house had the details that made all the difference. From a well-stocked kitchen (think Misen pans), to a smokeless fire pit (complete with wood stacked in shed for you to use), to quality beach towels, to two fridges, to puzzles, books, and even a wireless speaker - we were amazed at how comfortable and complete the rental experience was.

My family and I had a great week at Highlands Haven. The house is comfortable, updated, well-decorated, clean, and equipped with anything you could possibly need, particularly in the kitchen. There are utensils, pots, pans, baking trays, a slow cooker, two coffee makers, grilling tools, and much more. In addition, my kids loved all of the games that Scott has stashed in the house, as well as the puzzles and Where's Waldo? books.

The outdoor shower was handy for when we returned from the beach, allowing us to rinse off our sand before tracking it into the house. The patio furniture and firepit were lovely, and the kids had a great time roasting marshmallows at night. Our dog also enjoyed running around the yard, and was perfectly comfortable in one of the provided crates when we ventured out without her. The neighborhood where the house is located is great for dog walking too, very quiet and serene.

We hope to return to Cape Cod for many more vacations, and this house will be first on our list!

Our family of 5 plus golden retriever loved every minute of our time spent at Highlands Haven last week! Scott has thought of everything to equip the house with and it truly is such a treat to have use of clean, recently renovated, painted and decorated rooms. We enjoyed the multitude of beautiful art work and photographs on the walls, including some prints from one of my favorite dog artist, Stephen Huneck, found in the lower level.

My husband had to work for some of this trip and the lower level offered him a quiet space to himself during the day and he had no troubles with accessing the fast internet. I enjoyed looking through the many books on the shelves. The house is equipped with several board games and puzzles, as well. New mattresses, soft bedding and towels, AC in every room, 4 smart TVs and 4 showers (especially the outside shower) made our stay as comfortable and easy as could be. I even loved playing the CD that was left in the kitchen radio while cooking dinner and sipping a glass of wine. My kind of music! Scott has equipped the kitchen with more pots and pans, drinkware, dishes, utensils, etc than you'll ever need along with a grill outside. This was perfect to cook the striped bass my son caught that morning on a deep sea fishing trip we took out of Sesuit Harbor. We didn't even have to go out to buy any spices!

Not only did we love the house, but also loved the proximity of this property to the Dennis bay beaches. Mayflower is a favorite and my kids had a blast collecting shells and hermit crabs and spying a few starfish on the rocks at Corporation Beach. We enjoyed being close to the Village Bake Shop for donut runs in the morning, The Mercantile for sandwiches and Smugglers ice cream at night. We drove over to Coast Guard Beach a few early evenings since dogs are allowed over there in summer and to catch glimpses of the seals swimming by. With a fully fenced in back yard, it was nice to let the dog out with peace of mind.

Thank you for being such an attentive host and sharing your house with us, Scott. Our week at Highlands Haven went too fast and we hope to be back next year. We'll be counting down the minutes until then!

Our family (2 adults and 2 teens) very much enjoyed our stay at Highlands Haven. We love the Dennis area and we were excited to find this perfect property in a quiet and family-friendly neighborhood within a short drive to local beaches.

Very clean, tastefully decorated and had all amenities needed to enjoy a relaxing week at the Cape! Our kids loved the spacious basement and yard. We loved the dining room and gorgeous photographs of the Cape. Although we did not bring our dog with us, it is nice to know that would be an option for future visits.

Scott was responsive and pleasant during all of our interactions. We were thankful for his detailed guide of the property and local favorite restaurants and attractions. We hope to be repeat renters!

Our family of 5 enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Highlands Haven. We have been renting on the Cape for over 10 years, and this was one of the best, most well-equipped rentals we've stayed at. Scott was a wonderful and responsive host. He provided such detailed information about the house and left some recommendations for places to eat, beaches, and things to do.

The house was well taken care of, clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. It has everything you could possibly need, and more! The kitchen is well-stocked with good quality items. We love to cook, so we were thrilled to find nice new sharp knives, All Clad pans, etc. All of the beds were extremely comfortable with new mattresses. The walk-out basement was great for doing puzzles, playing games, and watching movies. Outside had a relaxing hammock, a firepit, new outdoor shower, and a great deck with a retractable awning. The fenced in yard was great for our three kids.

The house is in a beautiful neighborhood that is convenient to the beautiful bayside beaches, great restaurants, and shops. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Cape Cod, and we hope to visit here again ourselves!

What a lovely vacation home! Scott, the owner, has thought of every detail to make sure your time on the Cape is special. First, this is a Sunday to Sunday rental which we found to be super convenient in beating the Cape traffic. This home is pristinely clean, beautifully decorated with brand new furnishings and decor. It also comes with two sets of linens for each bedroom and bath towels which cuts down on your packing list immensely. We really enjoyed the outdoor space with a retractable awning and lovely deck for morning coffee. This was our first vacation bringing our dogs who had the time of their lives! There is a large fenced in backyard with tons of room for your fur babies to run with no worries. Scott even provides two large crates to house your babies when needed.

There are three levels of living space in this home with a full bathroom on each floor and a brand new outdoor shower. Again, another detail to make the most of your time when everyone is returning from the beach and needs to freshen up. Scott is an attentive and caring host who takes pride in providing a wonderful vacation for your entire family which includes your fur babies. We highly recommend this home to anyone!
