Claire Sailing Cottage features front and back screened-in porches where you will enjoy your morning cup of coffee or perhaps cocktails after a day at the beach. The cottage boasts an excellent location that gives the feel of seclusion on a dead end quiet street, yet is a few minutes walk to the beach, fine dining, beach bar with daily live music and Sundae School.

Amenities include outdoor dining area with gas grill and gas firepit, full AC, games, books and some toys. The cottage has two bedrooms (queen and twin over full bunk bed in second bedroom) and a full bath with tub and an outdoor shower.

    Delightful and Charming Cottage

    Claire Sailing Cottage was a perfect place to stay and experience all the pleasures of Dennis Port and the Cape. Well appointed, it was comfortable and welcoming. Just a short walk to the nearest beach and several places to eat made it almost unnecessary to ever get back in the car. The two porches offered lots of additional space to enjoy, the outdoor shower was very useful, and the ocean breeze helped keep the cottage cool. Although, it was good to know that air conditioning was available if needed,

    The hosts, Rachel and Kevin, were friendly and communicative. Rachel provided an extensive notebook reviewing local places to eat and visit.

    Pretty much a perfect place to stay.

    Kevin and Rachel Cushing purchased Ocean View Guest Lodge and cottages in December 2020. We poured our hearts into restoring/renovating the Lodge and Cottages with the goal of opening the properties (one main house 5 BR plus optional 6th BR and three cottages) to guests to enjoy an old time Cape Cod feel with updated amenities. Located on a dead-end lane, off of Depot Street, the property allows for both large and small groups. We will consider one dog per cottage as we are dog owners ourselves and personally enjoy taking our dogs with us on vacation. Rachel grew up spending her summers on Sunset Lane with her grandparents who owned a property that is still in the family next door. Rachel and Kevin have two young children.

    What is special about this property?
    The location is by far the top amenity. The cottage has easy beach access with the ability to walk home for a drink, bathroom break or sandwich, but also has excellent walkable restaurants, sundae school and the tiki bar with live music at the Ocean House. The location is remarkably quite, yet steps from some of the top Dennis Port spots such as The Pelham House, Sundae School, and The Ocean House/Tiki Bar. Another amazing feature of the cottage is its back screened in porch that is full of sunlight nearly all day long. If you look carefully you can see the ocean from inside the cottage.
