Sandcastle by the Sea is a great place to rent. The owner was friendly, helpful and responded quickly. The rental was extremely clean and had numerous amenities - more than expected. The location is perfect with access to the beach and great views. The rental includes a shed that was stocked with beach chairs, beach games, inflatables and other beach toys for use during the rental.
The unit was clean upon arrival and furnished like a showroom and had a great beach vibe.
The kitchen fully stocked with dishes, utensils and pots and pans. Also included an ice machine and wine cooler! The outdoor shower looked like it belonged in a spa - it was amazing. The deck was large and came with a large table and umbrella along with a BBQ grill. Great place to hangout after a beach day and grill dinner and have some drinks while watching another great sunset.
The unit comes with ample parking and no issues.
I would highly recommend Sandcastle by the Sea - in fact we already booked our week for the summer of 2024.

As a family that has been vacationing at the Cape for 3 decades, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandcastle by the Sea. Host family was welcoming and extremely accommodating. Clean, cool and comfortable. We will be back! Sunsets are incredible and beach is beautiful.

There is no better place than this quiet, private beach with soft, white sand and the best sunsets in the Northeast that Sandcastle by the Sea offers. John is a caring, attentive host and always available for any questions or concerns. My family rents the entire house for the week and both floors are airy, comfy, clean and have everything you could possibly need for your vacation. It's just perfect inside and out, with both floors offering an amazing outdoor space to enjoy the fresh, salt air and the sunsets right from your vacation home. The outdoor showers are incredible and the best way to end a perfect day on the beach.

Location, location, location is what drove us to this spot first, but it's the house and the host that keep us coming back every year! My family and I love this spot and everything it comes with and highly recommend it.

We have rented before on Our favorite Mayflower Beach , first time renting with Sandcastle by the Sea. . Beautiful location , Property manager, John could not have been more accommodating and kind . We were supplied with everything and more . Floats ,wagons for taking everything to beach , towels , beach chairs , umbrellas,,toys for kids and more!! Highly recommend ! ! Will definitely rent again. Thank you John !!!

My family has been on this beach almost 50 years, and we are so grateful that John has taken the reins -- he understands just how special this place is, and has made it even better: beautiful updates to the house, every amenity (the outside showers are better than any spa!) anyone could need at the beach, and open lines of communication for any questions you have. It is a guaranteed perfect vacation -- even if the weather doesn't cooperate, the house means you still have a stunning view of the water and enough space for everyone to hang out. Location is convenient (mid-Cape means you can go anywhere!) but honestly: why leave? We are three generations in, and I can only hope the traditions continue.

John and Sandcastlebythesea is an amazing host. From a personal welcome to check ins to ensure all is to our liking and the year to year make me want to make this plade an annual destination with family. We brag about this place like it own and love makijg family memories. We have recommended to many!

First and foremost is the amazing location right on the beach, step outside and the beach is right there with amazing views. The deck overlooking the beach is also amazing, very comfortable, and great to hang out and relax any time of day. The inside of the unit was comfortable and outfitted with any amenities that you need. Walking distance to a great restaurant and not far from a supermarket. This place was awesome and the owner John is also amazing.

My family had an another great week on the beach. This will be our annual destination for years to come. The beach and sunsets are amazing. The property is very updated, clean and comfortable. Thank you!!

My family is fortunate enough to vacation often, my wife and I work hard around the clock to provide the best experiences we can for our children. Last year we booked a not so great "cottage" in the area of Mayflower beach. I frequented Mayflower as a teenager and loved all the memories I had there. Walking the beach last year there was a sign in front of John's house for rentals for 2023, on a whim we called and by luck they had availability. This house is perfect inside and out, as a matter of fact it's so perfect people walk up and down Mayflower beach searching for it. I was fortunate enough to have known John before we rented from him however, property manager John was new to me. I have been all over the world and gone on all inclusive vacations. This hospitality, the cleanliness and attention to detail is up there with any resort I have ever stayed at. My wife and I and our two daughters (3&5) like every other family typically over pack. John assured us to pack light and not bring anything extra as he had it all and let me tell you there wasn't one thing he didn't have. We showed up with clothes and some food and that was it. The property is immaculate with beautiful flowers and soft sand. The inside is modern, AC cranks and the sights from the house and the beach can't be described by words on a review. Do yourself and your family a favor and book a stay here, just not my week! We love this property and can't thank John enough for his hospitality and sharing his home with us.

My family had an incredible week at Sandcastle by the Sea, we never wanted to leave. When you arrive you feel like you are living a life of luxury. The exterior is an oasis and the unit is fully equipped. The convenience of having a beach with salt-like sand within steps is yet another perk to this property. I hope to be back at Sandcastle by the Sea next summer!

There is truly no place like this — a dream! The location is one in a million, the house is stunning and there is not a single thing more you could ever ask for, want, or need. You are provided with everything you could want at the beach and then some!!! A private beach with the most beautiful comfortable accommodations plus the best spot and view is simply unbeatable. We've been coming here for years and will without a doubt be back to the sandcastle by the sea because we couldn't imagine not coming back!! It's the perfect place for families to make lifelong lasting memories. We are so thankful and this will forever be one of our favorite places.

Wow! 5 stars doesn't feel like enough. Has to be one of the BEST locations on the Cape. The front door is steps to Mayflower Beach. The house was perfectly maintained and super clean. The views from the upper deck were magnificent, especially at sunset. My favorite part was meeting the owner. John was there before check in washing the sand off the steps and making sure everything was perfect. He was so welcoming and accommodating and showed how much love and care go into this property. Will definitely be back!

Upon our arrival as we drove down the street to get to the house, we were blown away at the amazing view of the beach and ocean. The house was absolutely gorgeous inside and out to say the least. We stayed in the upstairs unit which was very spacious and we loved the beachy decor. The unit was very clean and very comfortable as we felt right at home immediately. The outdoor showers were a great touch and there was a shed full of beach chairs and toys for the family to use during our stay. The large deck looking out at the ocean and beach was a great gathering spot. There is a great restaurant (Chapin's Bayside) within walking distance that has fantastic food and a great vibe as well. If your looking for a place on the beach then look no further. This house was a definite 10 out of 10 and would recommend staying here. We look forward to a future stay at "Sandcastle By The Sea" again.

This is our second year staying in Sandcastle by the Sea and we have already booked for May 2024. The location is amazing. Our kids love to watch the sun set over Mayflower Beach, play in the warm tide pools and build castles on the beach. Sandcastle by the Sea is newly renovated and spotless. John, the owner has supplied everything you need for a fabulous stay. John is very pleasant, accommodating and quick to respond to queries. The shed full of inflatables, wagons and toys will keep your kids amused for hours. Just pack your swimsuit and enjoy!!!

Everything about this rental is actually just perfect. Has everything you need, super comfy, gorgeously decorated and the views, I mean just wow. Close to everything but still quiet and serene. Have been renting on the cape for 30 years and this has been the best experience of all. John is the greatest host, such a wonderful, welcoming, kind person. I will always cherish the time we got to spend here.

This amazing property exceeded our expectations in every way. Sandcastle by the Sea served as the perfect retreat for our family of four. Set amongst the dunes with the beach and ocean right out the font door it's truly a breathtaking setting. Our children loved playing on the private beach right in front of the house and the setup was ideal for my wife and I to enjoy ourselves while being able to easily keep an eye on the kids. The house was perfectly appointed with everything we needed to enjoy our stay and the owner couldn't have been more attentive in making sure everything was perfect for our stay. We can't wait to return to this beachfront paradise.

From top to bottom, the best possible place to be if you are looking for a rental down the cape. The property rests steps from the beach with every single amenity you could ever need or want. I have stayed in dozens of rentals all over the country and nothing compares to the views/hospitality of Sandcastle by the Sea. John takes care of his guests like they are family and truly makes the experience one of a kind. This one is worth it. Highly recommended and will absolutely be a frequent renter.

I arrived on a chilly October evening just in time for a splendid sunset. I was given a special code to enter the home. Upon entering I was delighted to see the same beautiful spacious rooms that appeared on the video I watched! Warm, inviting, living room, large kitchen area, gorgeous bedrooms and bathrooms. The laundry area was equipped with anything you'd need to wash and dry clothes. The upstairs loft had stunning views of the ocean! After a great sleep in the comfortable master bedroom I was very happy to use a great coffee bar. The dry bar included many varieties of coffee [and ice maker] to choose from. My favorite Peets coffee was excellent.

After breakfast and a long walk on the beach [almost 70 degrees in October!] I took a shower in the most beautiful out door shower I've ever been in! The floor of this fantastic outdoor shower had a huge flagstone surrounding by other dark smooth stones! Plenty of whatever you needed to shampoo and wash with and a spa like bench if you wanted to have a seat. Hooks made in the shape of whales tails for clothing and towels. Fixtures made out of brass, soo attractive and private with its thick gorgeous wood soo high even my 6' 5" son would have had no trouble.
I love a hot outdoor shower this one did not disappoint!

We had Lunch on the sunny deck using all the provided dishes. From plates to wine glasses.
Later in the evening, just a stones throw away, we ate at Chappins Bayside. This was recommended by the owner and it was excellent. Casual dress and the food was nothing but delicious! Stores close by for drinks and snacks!! We never wanted to leave the unbelievable beach view so we stocked up on supplies!! If I could say anything negative about SandCastle by the Sea....it's that my stay was too short!!! I'll be back SandCastle by the Sea I already miss you!!

Fantastic views from a wonderful home.

Perfect balance is the best way to express our stay.
Quiet and peaceful on the bayside, but with activities outside your door. Wether you just want to relax on the beach or go exploring the tide pools at low tide. A walk on the beach or a walk to the waves with a fishing rod in hand, it offers it all and more.Sunsets are spectacular from this location. When you are all done with the outdoors for the day retire indoors to a clean, modern and comfortable home on the beachside. Nicely furnished with quality pieces ( not the cheap rickety stuff found in most rentals ) and more than most, amenities. John had messaged us a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our stay, true hospitality. A pleasant stay.

We had an amazing stay at sandcastle by the sea! Arguably the best beach on the cape is right outside the front door! The home itself is beautifully decorated with a trendy, light and bright beach theme, comfortable furniture and beds and all the amenities (kitchen appliances, air conditioning, beach chairs and toys) makes for an easy and stress free stay.
The location is also very family friendly, we took long walks through the neighborhood and never had to worry about a car going too fast or getting too close and Chapin's Bayside Bar/Restaurant is right at the end of the street.
Our host John was very accommodating, he checked in at the beginning and end of our stay to make sure everything was all set and we had everything we needed.
Wish we could have stayed longer, we'll definitely be back!

We've been coming to this spot since 1990. And this year, the new owner, really outdid himself! John's renovation turned this spot into the best hidden gem in the Northeast. Not only is the home clean, cozy and beautiful, it has everything you could possibly need — and that's not even the best part. The best part is being able to walk right out to the most gorgeous, PRIVATE, beach, with white sand and sunsets you can only dream about. Within walking distance, when you don't feel like cooking, are two great restaurants, Chapins and Gina's by the Sea, and there are also many other hot spots that are within quick driving distance. The location is awesome. John was a superb host, available and responsive whenever we needed him, before, during and after our stay. His kindness and helpfulness made us feel very at ease during our stay. I highly recommend Sandcastle by the Sea for your next vacation - it's perfect.

Our family has been spending time on this beach for over forty years, and we are so glad that our beloved beach house is in such good hands. From the lavish outdoor showers to the in-house laundry, the stocked beach shed to the lush beds, not a single detail has been missed at this Sandcastle. Air conditioning for hot days, expansive decks for catching the breeze, beautiful furnishings, great grills -- it's all here. Just take your shoes off and spend time with family and friends.

Stayed downstairs the first week, upstairs the next. Both beautifully redone, decks have extraordinary views of water and dunes and sunsets. So happy to have washer/dryer added, plus wonderful new outdoor showers. This place is a treasure.

Sandcastle by the Sea met all of our expectations and beyond. We are so grateful to have stayed twice this summer at this wonderful home mainly because of the owner John and his kind family. The beachfront house is beautifully renovated with all the modern touches you can imagine, from classic nautical colors and decor to centralized AC and all the beach necessities & accessories for all ages. The beauty of the house is heighteneded by its proximity to the private beach within its private community and natural landscape of untouched dunes. Every morning, we were in awe of the scenic landscape of the rolling dunes, the endless sands and blue/green waters as well as every night for the front row view of the sun settting over the Cape Cod Bay. As a multigenerational family vacationing together, we appreciated the hospitality and accessibility of the owner John, being beachfront to a true private large beach, and the house's comfortable beds and linens as well as the many smart TVs, the baby pack and play, the beautiful laundry room, the cleanliness, the updated kitchen and fully stocked kitchen cabinets, the wet bar and ice machine, the big and comfortable sofa, the lighting system with dimmers, the many bath and beach towels provided, the spa-like outdoor shower with the elevated connected pathway to the stairs, the classy patio furniture and grill, the loft with the extra beds, the first aid kit, and last but not least the incredible beach shed filled with new beach chairs, inflatable toys and air pumps, wagons, umbrellas, toys, cooler, etc. We are so impressed with everything and it's a cherry on top to know that we're renting from an owner that truly cares so much and has a knack for attention to detail. We can't wait for next summer!

Spending a week at Sandcastle by the Sea becomes another page in our summer memory book. My family and I have been coming to this beach for over 50 years and this is the most spectacular home we have ever stayed in. John, the owner, welcomed us on our first day of vacation and treated us like family. He and his family have spared no expense in order for his guests to have the time of their lives. His hospitality in making sure you knew his home was your home was a breath of fresh air.

We enjoyed the completely remodeled home with every luxury included from beach chairs to linens. The beautiful sunsets never get old and coffee on the deck was the best part of the day. We will never tire of this beach and hope to enjoy it for years to come!

The home was nicely updated and had plenty of room and modern decor. The AC was key during a hot summer week as was the separate ice maker for packing the cooler. The sunsets can't be beat and the quick walk from the deck puts you at the water's edge. We have stayed on this private beach for many summers and look forward to it every year. See you next year!

This home is perfection on the most beautiful white sand beach. Sunsets are utterly breathtaking. John is the quintessential host. He is beyond accommodating. This home is beautifully decorated and has every amenity you could possibly need ( shed filled with beach chairs, carts, umbrellas, toys, lobster pots, etc) you truly need and want for nothing. This was the most relaxing and fantastic vacation! Can't wait to come back!

My correspondence with John (the owner) has been nothing but exceptional since day one. We've been staying on Mayflower beach for over 15 years and this spot is perfection. It's beachfront but away from the crowds on Cape Cod's best beach!

The owner has supplied everything you could need, down to beach toys/games, beach cart, chairs, coolers, and even an icemaker! We enjoyed a peaceful morning coffee on the deck overlooking the dunes, there is even a view while washing dishes lol!! The interior is fully updated with a spacious loft that was great for our kids to have their own space and 2 private bedrooms for the adults to have the same! Beds are comfortable and linen/towels all quality. The newly finished outdoor shower is a treat and each floor has their own.

This is also a very short walk to Chapin's restaurant, you really don't have to leave unless you want to. Can't wait to return!
