We recently stayed at Sandcastle by the Sea Bayview and had the most wonderful and relaxing trip. You literally couldn't have asked for a more perfect location to spend time with friends and family on one of Cape Cod's most beautiful beaches. The sunset is absolutely breathtaking. Bayview Beach sunsets display the prettiest, most colorful backdrop along with a natural sunset glow, making for some of the most beautiful family photos. Watching the sun disappear at the horizon and hearing families cheer with excitement at the natural beauty of it all, is really everything.

As soon as you walk out the door, you are immediately on the short path leading to the beach. Whether you're an early beach goer, prefer to sleep in, or a mixture of both like our family is, there is zero stress when it comes to finding a great spot on the sand to set up. The beach was never too crowded, even at high tide. Once the tide goes out, there is even more room to spread out, play beach games or take a nice walk. Some days we would pack snacks/lunch and other days we just hit the beach and took advantage of the short walk back to the rental for lunch or to use the restroom any time we needed to. The foot wash directly outside of the front door is perfect for all the back and forth from the beach and really helped keep the sand inside to a minimum. There is also a gorgeous outdoor shower around back to rinse off in or even to just take a nice hot shower at night under the stars.

The unit has 6 beach chairs (the more elevated type) so that is another thing you can leave at home unless you have a favorite chair you would like to bring. There are a few beach towels as well but you may want to bring a couple of extra. There is a stackable washer and dryer in the unit, fully equipped with detergent and fabric softener. This allowed us to pack lightly, as we could wash and dry our clothes throughout the week. Coming home with very minimal laundry to do after our trip was also a huge bonus!

John's close attention to every detail is truly unmatched. He meticulously stocked the unit with everything needed to feel like a home away from home. Everything is brand new and gorgeously decorated. We absolutely loved all the brushed gold detail throughout the unit and the beautiful beaded light fixture above the kitchen table. The beach theme was executed so tastefully and very chic. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable making for restful nights. The kitchen made cooking effortless and came with everything needed to prepare amazing summer meals for my family. Some nights we ate inside and others we were outside on the patio table enjoying the gorgeous weather we had.

There is so much to do around this area and John is super helpful with recommendations for whatever it is you are looking to do. With a gorgeous rental like this, in its prime location, you can literally make your trip however you want it. Relax on the beach with a book, watch movies on the comfy couch, drink coffee outside at the patio table on beautiful mornings listening to the seagulls and just unplugging from the daily chaos or you can pack your trip with all the fun that Cape Cod has to offer like a trip over to P Town, some deep sea fishing, Pirate Cove Mini Golf, Chatham Fish Pier, Cape Cod Inflatable Park, head to one of the awesome Cape Cod League baseball games, grab a delicious ice cream with the family or go out to eat, the options are endless.

We did a little of everything. A perfect, much needed combination of relaxation and fun.
