Welcome to Eastham, Massachusetts – the Gateway to the Cape Cod National Seashore with all its natural wonders and miles of stunning beaches. Our beautiful, light, bright and open to summer breezes home awaits you and your family to provide the relaxing oasis you seek on your valuable vacation time.
Our centrally air-conditioned home located on the Bay side of Eastham affords close access to Campground Beach (1.6 miles) and Cook’s Brook Beach (1.8 miles) as well to National Seashore Beaches: Nauset Light (2.2 miles), Coast Guard Beach (3 miles) and Marconi Beach (Wellfleet 4.5 miles) and the Salt Pond Visitor Center (2.2 miles). It is also a short distance from the bike and nature trails. Tennis courts and a track are available at nearby Nauset High School. Banks with ATM's, N. Eastham post office, Ben & Jerry's, Dunkin Donuts, the Village Green Shopping Center and Sam’s Deli (Rick = best sandwich on the Cape but be prepared to wait, or phone ahead) are all within 1 mile and walkable.
Noticeably quiet residential neighborhood with expansive child safe front yard. Enter our inviting foyer with a bright chandelier. The first floor contains the main front to back living area with T.V. and dining table, a smaller room equipped with a T.V. and futon couch and considered our game room. Our fully equipped modern kitchen has granite countertops with a gas range and oven. An eat-in area of the kitchen has a table which looks out onto the blue stone patio with its 8-foot teak table and chairs, full shade umbrella and Weber grill. There is a larger dining table at one end of the living room which seats 8. The living room is to the left of the kitchen, has wide pine floors a 46'' flat screen TV, a Blu-ray DVD player, and Bose iPod docking station. Also on the first floor is a full bath with walk in shower. The washer and dryer are located near the downstairs bathroom.
The second floor contains three bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom contains a queen size bed and two large dressers. An oversized chair invites you to relax, read your favorite book or just lounge as your own escape after a busy day. The ensuite bathroom contains twin sinks, shower and a jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom contains a queen size bed and dresser, and the third bedroom contains two twin beds and a full-size bed and a dresser. There is plenty of closet space in all the bedrooms. The second floor also contains another bathroom with twin sinks with a full tub and shower.
Outside the House: As noted previously the bluestone patio contains a large teak wood table with 8 chairs and Weber grill. There also is a hammock for lounging in the shade after a long day of sun and fun at the beach. Conveniently located, off the patio and near the side entrance to the house, is a fully enclosed outdoor shower to rinse/shower off the beach salt & sand, a log jog or perhaps to enjoy a restful cascade under the stars. The front farmers porch is a great place for a peaceful cup of coffee before the day’s activities or for the family to gather after a full day of adventure.
Fun Things to Do: We are conveniently located about 1.5 miles from the Wellfleet Drive In, the Wellfleet Flea Market and Cinema. Other nearby activities include miniature golf, kayaking, hiking, cycling, whale-watching or catching the Hyannis ferry for a day’s trip to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. The Audubon Society Wildlife Sanctuary in Wellfleet with private trails and activities/day camp for kids is a mile away. You will have your pick of family friendly or fine dining close by in Eastham, Orleans or Wellfleet. If you like antiquing, art, pottery or interesting shopping, head to nearby Orleans, Brewster, Chatham, Wellfleet and Provincetown. If the Performing Arts make you come alive check out Wellfleet’s W.H.A.T., The Cape Playhouse in Dennis, The Repertory Theatre in Brewster, Shakespeare in the Park in Wellfleet or the Academy for Performing Arts in Orleans. For Live Music there is the Payomet Performing Arts Center in Truro. Check out a local winery in Truro or local brewery in Hyannis. Buy some local lobsters and cook them up in the lobster pot in our kitchen.
