We are excited to announce that we have added on a 3-4 season room to increase the living space. Perfect family cottage

We've been staying in Cape Cod for years and this cottage location was kind of the best of both worlds for our family of 4, near enough to drive to outer cape more secluded beaches we love in Truro & Provincetown and central to Orleans/Eastham/Wellfleet beaches and activities kids love- Drive in theater a few minutes away, mini golf, ice cream shops, kid friendly outdoor restaurants and biking on rail trail and trails in Nickerson State Park.

The cottage would comfortably fit a family of 5. There were dressers for clothes in rooms. The living area was a decent size and had a good AC unit in living room as well as a TV with a lot of channels & dvd's.

The big clothesline as well as washer/drier & tons of beach supplies made our trip so much easier to pack for. There were 2 carts, a wagon, nice sturdy umbrellas with sand grabbers, sturdy boogie boards and an abundance of beach chair choices including Tommy Bahama backpack chairs for whole family (a must if walking to nice quiet bay beach a few minutes walk at end of road or driving to Marconi or Coast Guard beach).

There were also checkers or chess pieces you can use on the board on porch & many other kid games in a bin in basement. We only did breakfast & grilling but the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The deck had a full size dining table & umbrella and chairs for dining or relaxing which was a good addition to the kitchen space. Outdoor shower was great and had hooks and space to change as well. The sunrise and sunset view was beautiful from the association beach at the end of the road.

Great family cottage. Clean and close to the beach.

The homeowners keep a very neat, clean and well-equipped house just minutes from the beaches of the Cape. Clean and comfortable cottage perfect for our family of 5. Great deck for morning coffee and also includes an outdoor shower. Quick and easy walk/bike ride to Cooks Brook or the private beach that we have access to. We look forward to our 2022 visit!

    A+

This place is very cozy. This was our first time in this cute and homey cottage. The deck and the shower outside...outstanding. A lot of space in all the rooms and the beds are very comfortable.

There is a private beach few minutes walking away and even at this time of the year we were able to go in the water, it was calm and warm, we had a blast and we made great memories there. The sunset on the beach is something you don't want to miss.

We highly recommend Brenda and Chris's rental. The place is very well maintained and so clean. We are hoping to go back in few years. show more show less

    Wonderful Cape Cod Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is a very comfortable well maintained house with a nice yard. We relaxed on the deck listening to the birds and playing board games. It is a very quiet peaceful neighborhood. The best feature is the beautiful private beach where we spent most of our time. The beach is just a short walk from the cottage. The location is great for exploring the Eastham area. There are many beaches, restaurants and shops to visit. We are planning to return next summer. show more show less

    Home away from Home

We have stayed at this property the past three years and have never had better vacations then when we are here. Brenda and Chris are absolutely fabulous and really make sure their property is in top shape for their guests. You can't ask for a better location with less than a 5 minute walk to a private beach. The home is cozy and beautiful, we will continue to return each year because it is pure heaven and one of the most peaceful relaxing places we have ever found. Thank you, Brenda and Chris!

A fall family weekend in Eastham

We had the opportunity to spend Columbus Day weekend in Eastham with family at this Cape Cod home. The exterior and interior of the home was well maintained and clean with all the amenities of home available to us. The outside shower was a big hit with everyone. Although we did not swim while we were there, we walked to Cooks Brook Beach every day to enjoy the bayside beaches and amazing sunsets. We will definitely be back to this Cape house during the summer months!!

Adorable cottage in a terrific location

My husband and I along with our teenage daughter and her friend stayed at Chris and Brenda's place in August 2018. I truly enjoyed our stay at their cottage. We typically rent in Dennis but we wanted to change things up and stay close to the National Seashore on this vacation.

The cottage was beautiful. It was nicely decorated. It's not a huge place, but it wasn't that small either. It fit the 4 of us just fine, and could have accommodated one more. The air conditioner in the kitchen area kept the living areas cool, and even during the long heat wave, the fans in the bedroom windows were enough to keep you comfortable enough to sleep at night with the door closed.

The kitchen is nicely stocked. They even have a basket with herbs in the closet if you forgot to bring something. We used all the appliances, and everything worked great, especially the blender - hahaha.

The bedrooms have enough storage for your clothing. I loved the baskets to keep small clothing in. A place for everything and everything in it's place.

The outdoor shower was absolutely awesome!! We also enjoyed the use of the large deck every morning for coffee or evening for drinks. We brought our own, but they provide beach chairs and beach games in the basement. Also in the basement is the washer and dryer that we made very good use of. We enjoyed walking to the bayside beach just down the dirt road along the side of the cottage for sunsets. The drive to the National Seashore took minutes. I think it was about 2+ miles away. There were restaurants conveniently located to the cottage as well. We went to the drive-in on Friday. The back entrance is just down the street from the house.

My husband and I enjoy running. I loved the location of this cottage for running or walking. The cottage is in the middle of a lovely neighborhood filled with treed lots. In the heat of the summer, it was so nice to find a 3 mile run where I could run by ocean if I wanted that particular view, or run in the shade of the trees through the very quiet and peaceful neighborhood if I preferred.

We will keep Chris and Brenda's place on our short list of "let's do this again." Also - working with Chris and Brenda was a treat. They are very nice people, and very easy to work with. Zero problems, tons of fun. I highly recommend staying here.

    Perfect Beach Cottage!

We have spent many summers in Eastham but this year we needed to find a vacation rental. Knowing the area well, we had a lot of "must haves' on the list. This house was exactly what we were looking for! It had enough room for our family of four, a great deck/yard, outdoor shower, AC in the main area, and a short walk to the bay beach. We were also close enough to enjoy restaurants and shopping. The kitchen had everything we needs and loved having the grill to use. We recommend this house to anyone who wants to chill out and enjoy what the Cape has to offer. We will definitely be back!! show more show less

Nice Cottage Close to Private Bay Side Beach

We have rented many cottages on the bay side of Eastham over the last 20 years. This was one of my favorites. It is small, but very comfortable for our family of four (2 adults & 2 teenage girls). The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The owners clearly put a lot of time and effort into selecting the furnishings and amenities. Everything you need is included, from beach chairs and umbrellas to a large outdoor shower with hot and cold running water. Fans in the bedrooms and an A/C unit in the kitchen/living area made for comfortable lounging and sleeping at night. Would not hesitate to rent again. show more show less

    Great Cape Escape

This was our first time staying at this cottage, and we had a great experience! We appreciated the updated kitchen, outdoor shower, and spacious deck for hanging out. The short walk to the private beach access was easy to do with our kids (ages 3 and 8), and the beach carts and chairs provided by the owners were a big plus. The owners were very responsive to questions we had leading up to our trip, and they were very friendly and professional overall. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a nice vacation spot in Eastham! show more show less

Brenda and Chris have been coming to Eastham since 1996. Chris' family has been coming since the late 40s early 50s. Chris is a civil engineer and Brenda is a registered nurse.
Our goal is to make sure you have a clean house, all the things you need to be comfortable and make meals at home if you choose. We want it to be a place people want to return to and make those family memories for years to come.
We recycle and will be adding a compost receptacle to the property this year 2023.

What is special about this property?
We had been talking every year on our return to the Cape about looking for a property in Eastham to call our own. 2011, we were vacationing and decided to see what was out there for houses. We found a property on Higgins Rd that looked like a possibility for us. As we set out to go see the property, Brenda said, ''We are not buying the first thing we see'' We went to the property and walked to the beach from the house to see how easy a walk it would be (6 minutes from the house). It is on a corner lot. The 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. We made an offer, yes it was the first house we looked at. We spent the first year making the ''master'' bedroom special, painting, cleaning and planning for our first summer rental season.
This property has the best outdoor shower on Cape as described by one of our first renters. Large deck and concrete walkway to the cellar and outdoor shower. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of people walk alone or in groups, jog, bike, walk their dogs and very friendly. We have maintained the property by working on it every year to add new windows, floors, air conditioning, new kitchen, and solar panels. Everything you would need for your vacation is available, fully stocked kitchen, games, books, DVD movies, WiFi, cable TV, gas grill, seating outside with patio furniture for dining or hanging out. Close to 2 public beaches: Cooks' Brook Road and Campground. Close to the drive-in theater in Wellfleet and flea market. The house gives you a sense of relaxation.
