Description

Description

You’ll be calmed by the sound of the surf at this classically charming cottage set just 50 yards from Campground Beach on Cape Cod Bay. Spacious rooms, wood floors, bead board, and a perfect location make this cottage a fantastic setting for unwinding with your family, a girls’ getaway, or a golf adventure.

The comfortable family room has a bank of bay-facing windows that let in lots of light. The first floor bedroom with queen bed faces wildflower gardens and a private sandy play space for the kids. The screened sun porch has a wicker settee, wicker chairs, and a dining table for six. Together they provide a perfect space for relaxing with a good book and a tall, icy beverage. The spacious upstairs bedrooms; the bay-facing bedroom with a queen bed and the second bedroom with a queen and a twin bed, bring the total cottage accommodations to six happy vacationers.

Outside, a super-sized teak table, chairs and umbrella provide a perfect place for lobster dinners and lively conversation after a day of sun and surf. Start creating YOUR happy memories! Gateway to the Cape Cod National Seashore, the Town of Eastham is a coastal resort community straddling the arm of Cape Cod. Located on the outer Cape, the town is bounded on two sides by land, the other two by water, the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Cod Bay. Eastham is a quiet town with several ocean and bay beaches, a host of kettle ponds, pretty country lanes, panoramic views of Cape Cod Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, and lots of wide-open space for nature lovers. The Audubon Sanctuary in Wellfleet is a popular spot and is only several miles away from the cottage and don't forget the Cape Cod Rail Trail which is only a five minute bike ride away.

    8 years at this cottage

This was the 8th straight year we stayed at this cottage. We always enjoyed being so close to the beach (Campground Beach). Love the outdoor shower. The covered porch is a necessity in case of rain, but we only had 2 days of rain over those 8 years. Having "The Landing" (small convenience store) close by really is nice for a short walk for ice cream.

Year 8 for our Family! A Great Outer Cape Get Away!

This was our 8th year staying at this fantastic Eastham home by the Bay! We love the breezes on the deck and the proximity to Campground Beach. It's a perfect spot for families, couples, or a girls' getaway trip. You can access the public beach at high tide or walk to the end of Campground Road to access a more private part of the beach at low tide.

Charles and Paula are really easy to work with and always take great care of the home - it is clean and well-maintained and an ideal Eastham location.

It's close to all of our Eastham/Wellfleet/Orleans/Provincetown favorites - breakfast from Hole in One Doughnut, lunch from Sam's Deli, the Good Times Ice Cream Truck for a break from Campground Beach adventures, rainy days at the Red Barn Arcade, outings to The Beach Comber at Newcomb Hollow, National Shore sunrises and evening campfires, Orleans Firebird baseball games, Wellfleet Drive-in, Provincetown Whale Watch, lots of mini-golf and ice cream options, croissants from PB Boulangerie, strolling through art studios in Wellfleet Center...something for everyone! Our kids have grown up loving this special getaway week each summer. We will be back again, for sure!

    Owner Response:

Kelly, Thank you for your detailed guest review! There are so many fun activities to be had for all ages on the Outer Cape and it's interesting to see how they change for different families as the years pass. Eight years is a milestone for sure and we'll look forward to having you back again next year!

    A wonderful week

My daughter and I chose this house for a few reasons. The Cocce's are wonderful owners-responsive and caring. The private pond beach is a few minutes walk away. It suited us perfectly as my grandchildren are 3 and 6. And with the heat this summer, even with the delightful breeze when we ate outside, the air conditioners were a blessing. We will be back!

    Delightful!

Our stay was absolutely delightful. Charles and Paula are wonderful people and hosts - friendly, relaxed , flexible and responsive and generous with communication. The cottage was immaculate, furniture is very comfortable, kitchen well stocked for cooking, the spaces generous and decorated in a sweet, beachy theme. We especially appreciated the large porch for dining in inclement weather, and lounging the evenings. Most meals were enjoyed on the huge deck accompanied by the perfume of beach roses and the serenade of birdsong. The location is perfection - steps from a bay beach, close to the Wellfleet Audubon, route 6, and a few minutes from multiple ocean beaches. The cottage, and it's hosts, contributed greatly to our enjoyment of vacation. We look forward to returning yearly! Thank you, Paula and Charles. show more show less

    So close to the beach

We had everything we needed. The layout allowed for comfortable and separated spaces to read or work.
Sunset views were spectacular. Safe bay access for younger children at the house and short driving distance to access the National Seashore beaches.
We enjoyed our time very much.

    Perfect Cozy Cottage

This was our second visit to this wonderful cottage. It is a perfect location - walking distance to the beach and right down the road from the Wellfleet Audubon. The cottage is spotlessly clean, beds are all comfortable and has everything we needed for our family of four (2 kids age 13 and 8). Communication with the owner is fantastic and extremely responsive. We look forward to returning!

    Great family vacation rental

Charles and Paula were great hosts. The house was a great fit for our family - very close to campground beach and had everything we needed. Good location close to National Seashore Beaches and many restaurants. First floor bedroom and bathroom were a plus for grandparents.

    6th year at this cottage

Another great stay at the cottage. A hurricane threatened, but didn't affect the stay. The grandkids loved playing on the beach and in the water. We spent a lot of hours on the deck when we weren't on the beach. Well be back here in 2022.

We realized our dream and purchased the first of our four Eastham vacation rental properties in 2009. Each property has been extensively renovated and is within walking distance to the beach. Renting our properties to folks who create their own memories and traditions or those who just come to Eastham to relax, has been rewarding beyond our expectations.

What is special about this property?
Our properties are all in close proximity to the beach making it easy to stroll back and forth as needed. Each cottage has heat, AC and private outdoor showers with hot water. Our landscaping creates a private feel to the properties.

What is special about your town?
Eastham is famous for it's bay beaches and low tides that recede almost a half mile, exposing sand bars that allow for long walks on an uncrowded beach. Just three miles across town is the Cape Cod National Seashore. Founded by President John Kennedy in the 1960's, the seashore stretches 45 miles toward Provincetown. It's beaches are often named on the list of Top 10 beaches in the U.S. and are a treasure to spend time at. The Cape Cod National Seashore museum is located in Eastham.

Eastham offers many recreational activities including access to the Rail Trail (a popular bike path highlighting many of the local ponds and estuaries in the area), kayaking, surfing, hiking, canoeing and much more. There are numerous restaurants of all varieties as well as nearby fishing villages of Wellfleet and Provincetown. Eastham also has it's own history of early Pilgrim and Native American settlements.
