Description

Description

This beautiful large home was built in 2017 and is pristine, located on a quiet private lane next to Great Pond, close to bike path, beaches, walking trails, and mini-golf. Or relax at home in this beautifully appointed house and curl up in front of the 49” large screen smart tv or play board games (or borrow a book from our extensive book library) in front of the living room fireplace or on the screened porch.

This is not your average Cape house -- our house is furnished in a unique style that we call Antigua-meets-Bali-meets-Cape Cod, which reflects the traveling we’ve done and the places that are near and dear to our hearts. Everything in the house was chosen for either its beauty and utility (or both!), with the goal of pleasing and delighting our guests. We think you’ll agree!

The house is large enough for two or three families, but also cozy enough for a couple or small family. It’s just a 3-minute walk down a sandy path to a private beach on Great Pond, 1/4 mile from the Cape Cod Rail Trail, 1 mile to bay beaches, 1 mile to Coast Guard Beach bike path (2 mile path to Cape Cod National Seashore).

Eastham is nestled between the picturesque town of Wellfleet (known for its art galleries and restaurants), and the shopping town of Orleans, and just 30 minutes from Provincetown. Beautiful biking paths and hiking trails abound. The New York Times called Eastham ''Cape Cod's Little Secret'' -- come see why!

This rental includes bikes, stand-up-paddleboards, ping-pong and foosball tables, linens and towels, 1st-floor laundry, and much more. The back yard has plenty of room for a game of croquet, volleyball, or badminton -- all available for you. Or simply enjoy a good book or a nap in the shade in one of the hammocks.

Please note: the house actually has 5 sleeping rooms - 3 ''official'' bedrooms and 2 large semi-private 2nd floor rooms. A maximum of 12 people can occupy the house, but there is a surcharge of 10% for more than 10.

Perfect vacation home!

Our family--4 generations from age 2 to age 93--had a memory-filled week in Miriam and Ben's thoughtfully designed, well-maintained, and very clean home. The location is ideal. Our 2-year old especially loved the pond (and watching the frogs) and low tide at First Encounter beach. Beautiful, wild Nauset Beach is just a short bike ride away. The home has plenty of bikes! We rented a trailer for the toddler at Little Capistrano just down the street. In the home, every bed was comfortable and each of us had plenty of personal space. The big screened-in porch is a wonderful amenity and the kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed. We enjoyed great weather so we didn't even have time to take advantage of all the games, puzzles and books provided. show more show less

Best Home We've Ever Rented!

Miriam and Ben's home is the best home we've ever rented on the Cape. It's sparkly clean, it's the perfect layout for 2 families, it's modern and up-to-date, it's FULLY equipped with everything including linens, bikes, paddleboards etc., and the location is amazing. You can walk to Great Pond to swim, fish, kayak, or you can go to the beach and enjoy the waves. My favorite room is the screened-in porch. It was one of our best vacations. Plus Miriam and Ben are really nice people and highly responsive. show more show less

Great Stay in Eastham

We were a multi-generational family of nine ages 2-60+ who stayed in the house, and it worked out perfectly for us. We loved the short walk (5 min) to the pond (the big kids enjoyed the dock), screened-in porch, and large yard. The house had everything we needed - lots of beach gear, toys/games for the kids, kitchen supplies. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space of us to work, play, and gather. We look forward to staying at the home again soon.

Perfect place to escape

We spent a week at the house. There are eight of us in our family and there was plenty of room. It was the perfect place to be during these difficult times. The pond is so peaceful and the house had everything we needed. It's a beautiful home and we are hoping we will be able to go back next year.

Great Pond House

We had a wonderful time at this clean and spacious new house in Eastham. The pond was a few steps away and the beaches just a bike ride away. The kitchen was bright, sunny and well stocked with every utensil imaginable. The deck and out door shower were great.
We were two couples and we each had our own floor with a suite of rooms. We will be back!

Thanksgiving Retreat

What a lovely Thanksgiving we had at your beautiful house in Eastham! It had the perfect layout for multiple generations under the same roof, and an open design for fun dinners and family socializing.(and even though the design is open, the house felt cozy and warm). My 92 year old mother was particularly appreciative of the gas stove on chilly November days. The ping pong table and foosball were an added treat - my competitive family enjoyed epic battles in the basement. The house was clean, well-maintained, well-appointed, and decorated with character and thought. We really loved our brief time there - thank you for sharing your lovely home!. show more show less

Super Vacation Home

Thank you to Miriam and Ben for our two week stay on the Cape being a wonderful time! This home is new, spacious, comfortable, and provided us with all the amenities needed.
We especially enjoyed linens and bicycles being provided, as well as an expansive lending library! We were even able to partake of some homegrown organic tomatoes in our dinner salads! The walk in shower in the master bedroom was extremely helpful. Perfectly located, the home is close to all our favorite places, especially the beaches of the National Seashore. Definitely a return to place! show more show less

Beautiful Upscale Cape Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this meticulously appointed Eastham home. It is the ideal location for a large family or several families, conveniently located near all the outer Cape has to offer; fresh water ponds, beautiful ocean beaches, bike paths, restaurants and more.

Tucked away in a private quiet road, the home is beautifully designed and decorated, and is well equipped with all your needs for the beach and for family meals. The open floor plan allows great opportunities for socializing while there is no shortage of quiet nooks to get some individual peace and quiet. While the Cape is scenic, the landscaping at this home is just as gorgeous....we wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return! show more show less

Perfect Everything

Our hosts created a wonderful vacation home, with all the details of gracious living. The house itself is perfect in size, layout and amenities. You can see the thought put into every aspect, from comfortable beds and pillows (hallelujah!), attractive table wear, etc. to flow of the house and unique spaces. Location is excellent for biking and beaches.
We've been renting on the Cape for many years and this home is our favorite! Our children have so many options to keep themselves occupied in outdoorsy/active ways.
And finally, and most notably, our hosts were incredibly attentive to any questions or needs we had. Plus, plus, plus!

A Great House

This is a beautiful new house in excellent condition and is one of those rare Cape properties that looks as good in person as it does in the pictures. This house is laid out very well and is in a great location with easy access to a freshwater pond, the National Seashore, and many good restaurants and attractions. We especially appreciated the bikes and stand-up paddleboards that were included in the rental. We have already booked a return trip for next year and are very much looking forward to it. show more show less

Our family has had a house in Eastham for over 20 years that sadly burned down (due to an electrical fire) 3 years ago. After much heartache and unpleasant dealings with the insurance company, we decided to re-invest in rebuilding the house. And now there is a happy ending -- the house is brand new and really nice! Because we had a prior house which we rented out and have also done a lot of renting ourselves in the past, we have a pretty good idea of what works well in a rental house and we think we've built a house that will be super comfortable and relaxing in all seasons.

What is special about this property?
Located on a quiet, sandy road, the property is quintessential Cape. Access to a private pond beach gives you the option to relax on the water without leaving the neighborhood. But with the bay and ocean beaches so close, you could visit all three in a single day.

Between the screened porch, the deck, and the large yard, there is lots of outdoor space for you to relax. And since the house is brand new, it's pristine -- clean and beautiful; it's the best of both worlds -- old Cape with all new and modern amenities.

What is special about your town?
Eastham is a family-friendly town (with bike paths, mini-golf, a drive-in movie theater, and easy access to bay, ocean, and pond beaches), nestled between the picturesque town of Welfleet (known for it’s art galleries and restaurants), and the market town of Orleans, and just 40 minutes from Provincetown. The New York Times called Eastham ”Cape Cod’s Little Secret” — come see why!
