This is our third year renting from Joan and Charlie, and we couldn't be happier. We've been traveling to the Cape every summer for over 30 years, and this is by far the best home and the most thoughtful hosts we've had.

The house itself is lovely and always impeccably maintained—Joan and Charlie are constantly updating something. The open kitchen, living, and dining areas flow beautifully onto the outdoor deck, making it perfect for entertaining—whether it's a lobster dinner with friends or a few appetizers before heading out.

The bedrooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and I especially appreciate having the washer and dryer right on the first floor. The outdoor shower is a Cape Cod classic and an absolute favorite of ours.

The location couldn't be better. Tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the house feels like a peaceful retreat, yet it's just around the corner from bike rentals and Sam's Deli—perfect for picking up sandwiches on the way to Nauset Light Beach. Great restaurants, ice cream shops, wine stores, and a fish market are all within five minutes.

We can't recommend this home and these hosts highly enough—truly the best Cape rental experience we've ever had.

We are returning renters of this house that has everything we need as far as bedrooms, bathrooms, beautiful deck and backyard and outdoor shower. Kitchen is stocked for cooking throughout the week.
The home is very clean. The owners are wonderful to work with and super friendly. You will not regret renting this house.

This was our sixth year vacationing at Joan and Charlie's beautiful house on Cape Cod. The house and yard are well kept as well as clean and updated. The kitchen is well stocked and the gas grill convenient. We make most of our dinners at the house. If there is a problem we contact Joan or Charlie and the issue is immediately taken care of. We went to a National Seashore beach every day! The beaches are clean, the waves are awesome and the views spectacular. If you are interested in history and tours visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Salt Pond Visitor Center for a schedule of tours for the week. They are very interesting. Thank you for a great time!!! We are looking forward to next year!!

Another wonderful year renting this lovely home! My family and I have rented this home multiple times. It has everything you need for a comfortable beach vacation in the Cape. Close access to the bike trail and Nauset Light beach; the street is very quiet and relaxing. The house itself is a dream. The beds are very comfortable, the outdoor shower is refreshing, and the deck is lovely. The house is cozy and beachy, and we absolutely love it! Watching the families of adorable wild turkeys walk around is a fun bonus. You will not be disappointed renting this house, and Joan is very accommodating of anything you may need!

We so enjoyed our two week stay in Eastham. Such a lovely and vacation ready home that let's our family have a relaxing and fun filled time. The home has all the amenities needed and it's location at the end of the road was perfect for our grandkids to play safely.

My family and I have returned to this rental year after year because of the wonderful location. It is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, Close to the beach, close to restaurants and in walking distance to the Cape Cod rail Trail. The house itself is perfect. It has three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms plus an outdoor shower! We love cooking on the grill and sitting on the deck for dinner outside, Or watching a movie at night in the comfortable living room. We have always had a wonderful stay and hope to return again next year.

Joan, wanted to share that, once again, we had an amazing time at this home this year. Between the many renovations, location, and layout of the house, it's the perfect vacation spot for a trip to the Cape! Nothing like coming home from the beach, taking an outside shower, grilling and cooking for the kids - it's the best. Appreciate your hospitality and easy to work with demeanor. My husband and I have been renting Charlie and Joan's beautiful home in Eastham, Cape Cod for five years. The home is clean and updated. It has everything you need including washer/dryer, gas grill, outside shower, lovely patio and a fully stocked kitchen. It is located minutes from the National Seashore with beautiful beaches and close to the bike path. In rainy days they have a ping pong table and plenty of board games. The host is easily accessible. We had an awesome vacation week and plan on renting this home yearly.

We had a fantastic stay at Joan and Charlie's Eastham house. The house had everything we needed for a family of 4 (2 adults; 2 teenagers), plenty of space, was immaculate, and had really comfortable beds! The location is perfect: close to all the beaches, fish markets, and groceries. We've been renting in Eastham for 25 years and this was one of the best rentals we've stayed in. We just completed our second year renting from Joan and Charlie in Eastham. We have booked different homes on the Cape for years but this is the first home we have rented more than once. There are a few reasons this home works so well for us.

First, the location could not be more perfect for the way we enjoy the Cape. Their home is at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac so the calm and quiet pace is great for us. The home is also fully equipped for most anything we might need. A fully stocked kitchen for the nights we want to cook (not many) and very comfortable beds which is super important for us.

Next, we are beach lovers and the location of the house is perfect for this. The drive to both Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light Beach is very short and only on back roads so never any traffic. It is also very easy to get to Marconi Beach - we love all 3. The location is also great for the food and drink we love to enjoy. Again, short drives to great coffee, good food, and various libations.

Overall, Joan and Charlie are wonderful to deal with and are extremely responsive to any needs that may arise or questions in need of an answer. We have found our home away from home and look forward to future years enjoying this beautiful property.

We stayed in this beautiful house for a week in late August. It had all we were looking for and more. House was stocked with plenty of kitchenware. Games and ping pong table were available. Owner is attentive to any questions or issues. The house was very clean!! Definitely will come back next year to this gem.

My wife and I and our three kids had a truly wonderful time in this Eastham home. The house was beautiful, spacious, and so well appointed and maintained. We loved that it was at the end of a quiet street on a cul-de-sac. It was perfect for our kids to explore and ride their bikes! The home is ideally located right off of Barrett Rd. We easily got to Nauset Light Beach. And took advantage of the street light right there at Barrett and Rt-6. We regularly went to Hole-in-One Bakery and zipped down to First Encounter or Wiley Park. We also enjoyed having easy access to the rail trail and riding down to Arnolds for dinner and ice cream.

Note: the home has three beds and we have three kids - they are small enough that we had them share one of the beds. It worked great!

We recommend this home and look forward to staying at it in the future!

As we've discussed before the location of the house, it's position on a great piece of property at the end of a cul-de-sac, and the size/condition make it a perfect place to stay on a family vacation to the Cape. This was our 4th year renting Joan and Charlie's home. The experience from start to finish is always smooth and easy, they are attentive and available to help in any way they can. The home is well maintained, and this year we enjoyed the updates to the bathrooms and living area! Eastham has it all in the way of things to do and the home itself is situated on a cul de sac in a private, friendly, neighborhood where we always feel safe and welcomed. We enjoyed day trips to the ocean and walks on the bike trail - also highly recommend Wiley Park - the lake is an amazing place for swimming with littles, equipped with fun playground on site. We spent the days around water, cleaned up in the outdoor shower at the house, and enjoyed the afternoons and evenings on the deck, cooking, kids playing outside, and evenings cozy in the living room with a movie. We look forward to our Cape trip every year, this home is a gem in ALL the ways!

We would like to thank our hosts for allowing us to stay in there beautiful vacation home. It was simply the best. Perfect location to the National Seashore, bike trail, markets, etc.
The open living room, kitchen and dining was the best it never felt crowded. And having a Washer/Dryer on the main floor was great. The kitchen had everything we needed included a nicely stocked pantry of spices and oils. The bathrooms were just remodeled and look great. However we mainly used the great outdoor shower!! Which is a must have for us when on the Cape. We will definitely be back. It was perfect for our family. Thank you again

This was our 3rd time renting Joan and Charlie's home in Eastham. As usual, Joan is super communicative and kind during the rental process and checked in during our stay to make sure all was well. We love the quiet, private location of the house, yet close proximity to anything you need or want (my favorite, Ben & Jerry's down the street :) We enjoyed walks/rides to the bike trail, daily beach trips, grilling and cooking in the spacious kitchen, and family movie nights. We had a very hot two weeks, and although there is no central AC in the home, the rooms stay cool with window units and the main area was comfortable with ceiling fans. Eastham has opened a ton of new restaurants in the past couple years, which we enjoyed checking out as well (Casa Del Cabo and C-Shore were great!) The home is short drive to Wellfleet, which also has great shopping, food and cute walkable areas and also Truro (has a beautiful winery) and P-Town, another awesome place for shopping, food, bars with a fun vibe. If you go 10 min south, you'll find Orleans, where you can get your Christmas Tree Shops fix, and do a grocery haul at Stop and Shop. Overall, the location couldn't be better on the Cape. We feel so comfortable and at home at Joan & Charlie's - thank you both for making our 3rd year another one for the books! Looking forward to next year!

Lovely home! Plenty of living space with a nice deck and a beautiful lawn out back! We (all adults) especially liked that all the bedrooms had at least queen or king beds...no twins. Great location for us as we prefer the National Seashore beaches and also tend to visit Wellfleet nearby. Bike trail entrance was so conveniently close by! Love that all three bedrooms have AC as well!

We just finished our week long stay In your home in Eastham - what an awesome week!! While the pictures and descriptions you post online are great, they really can't do the property justice. Inside your home, it is so bright and open and clean. The first floor feels so big and airy and is wonderful to return to each day after the beach or a bite out or whatever.

As for the location, it is really perfect. We love Nauset Light beach and the drive from the house is about a 3 minute drive with no traffic. Other great beaches are so close too but this was our favorite. There are also so many restaurants and coffee shops and fun so close by so there were many options. Best of all, the house is at the very end of a cul-de-sac that is a quiet street to begin with. Sitting out back on the deck was so quiet and peaceful and what vacations are all about.

Thank you, too, for always being so available with your quick responses whenever we had a question - so reassuring that if we needed anything, you were right there.

We really appreciate you sharing your beautiful home with us for a week. We hope to make this our Cape destination for years to come!

This was our 2nd year renting this beautiful and special home in Eastham. The Doback's are the most kind, caring and attentive owners and do their best to ensure we were prepped and had everything we needed for our stay.

We travel with another family, so we comfortably fit 4 adults and 2 kiddos in the home. We decided to upgrade this year and spent 2 weeks at the house, and we are so happy we had some extra time in our happy place! We had great weather so we spent most days at Marconi Beach, afternoons biking the trail which has an entrance point down the road (there are a few bikes in the shed, and a rental spot down the street), and evenings grilling and relaxing all together in the spacious living area. We also may have gotten Ben&Jerry's multiple times during the trip, the location down the street is much too convenient :)

The home itself is functional, spacious, comfortable and homey. The ceiling fans and AC's in the bedrooms keep the home feeling good on extra hot days, and you cannot beat the outdoor shower after a long day at the beach!

Eastham is a very quiet, and beautiful town, close to beaches, ponds, and also the downtown Wellfleet area which is great for walking around and restaurants (our favorite restaurant is Mac's!), also close to Truro (which has a beautiful winery) and Provincetown which has so much to offer as well. As far as groceries, we like to do a Whole Foods haul at the beginning of the trip (about 45min from the house in Hyannis) but Stop&Shop is also just 10 min away in Orleans.

This house truly is so special and we are already looking forward to next year's two weeks. Thank you Joan and Charlie for another wonderful year.

We had such a lovely time.... again!

This is the the third year that we rented this house from Joan. The house has a great lay out and is always nice and clean. Its on a quiet cul-de-sac, and is close to the bike trail!.

Joan is very accommodating and easy to work with. They go out of their way to make sure that you have a great vacation!!

We have been coming to Eastham for many years and have stayed in a variety of rentals. Joan and Charlie's home is the best one we've ever found.

The home is in perfect condition and impeccably clean and the layout is great, with enough space for the whole family to be together and also for each person to have some privacy. The quiet and privacy at the end of the already quiet street is really nice and it is SO easy to get anywhere from this location.

All the little touches…the outdoor shower (with good water pressure and hot water), the ping pong table, and the others really made this a great spot for our vacation.

The pictures and description don't lie…this house is as good as it seems and we can't wait to go back!

This is a wonderful house, perfect for a Cape vacation getaway! It's near the bike path and Nauset Light beach, tucked away on a quiet cul de sac, in a nice neighborhood. It was just the right size for our family of four. The house is very well cared for and clean, and the owners have thought of everything that a renter might need! The entire experience of renting this house was positive from beginning to end—we hope to come back next summer!

We were happy to come back to this home this summer, located in a peaceful neighborhood in Eastham. The house is convenient to the bike path and Nauset Beach but not too far from a variety of great restaurants on Rt. 6. The decor is welcoming and restful, the home very nicely maintained, and lovely breezes keep the rooms cool and fresh. Joan and Charlie have furnished their home with everything that one would need for a great vacation on the Cape. We love the outdoor shower!

The house was spotless and sanitized (important during COVID!) and as beautiful as ever. This house was just wonderful, and the experience of working with Joan was seamless from start to finish. I was pretty much sold when she told me that she and her family had rented there for several years before purchasing it - how amazing is that!? We set up the rental before Covid, and decided to go given the precautions and safety measure being taken. The house is perfect for families, my 4 year old and our best friend's 6 year old enjoyed running around in the backyard and felt super safe in the cul de sac neighborhood. The area is great, close proximity to the number of beaches and the beautiful cape cod bike trail, which we frequented daily. Given the times, we spent most of our time safely at the beach and (happily) staying at the house, making dinner together and eating on the deck, and then enjoying a movie in the comfortable and spacious yet cozy living room. The layout feels so airy and open, great for socializing and keeping eyes on the kids if you are in the kitchen! :) The ceiling fans were helpful for moving air around and on a few of the hot days we used the AC in the bedrooms which had such comfortable beds! We felt so refreshed after our week and will definitely be back for next year, hopefully for two weeks this time :) Thank you Joan and Charlie for sharing your beautiful house with us and being so kind and helpful!

Beautiful home. Perfect location. Very quiet and private!
This home has it all! Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and nicely appointed PLUS in a perfect location to the National Seashore beaches. Our family of five adults were all very comfortable and fit well in this home. Especially loved the foam mattresses, the comfy couches, the well appointed kitchen, the outdoor gas grill, and the outside shower. It was our 4th time visiting the Cape, and this house was definitely in the best location of all. Enjoyed tasty seafood from Arnold"s and the Lobster Shack, visited the National Seashore Visitor"s Center, biked on the Cape Cod Rail Trail using the bikes provided at the house (thank you Joan and Charlie!) all of which were mere minutes away. We shopped and ate in our favorite towns of Chatham, Orleans, and Wellfleet, and spent every day at a different beach - so many were located very close to the house that we had a hard time choosing each day! We saw a sunrise for the first time at our favorite, Coast Guard Beach, and saw many beautiful sunsets at different beaches as well. We highly recommend staying at 100 Kear Dr. for a great Cape Cod vacation!

Great family vacation house
The house is in a great location near Nauset Light Beach, the bike trail and rt 6 (restaurants, mini golf, ice cream shop). Classic Cape house on the end of a cul de sac nicely decorated in a beach/nautical theme. Loved having an outdoor shower, separate bedrooms upstairs for the kids (with the master on the first floor) and the ping pong table in the basement. Joan, the owner, was delightful and easy to work with. Would definitely stay at this house again and recommend it to anybody looking for a clean, well appointed house in a quiet neighborhood close to everything.

Love this house!
This house is really cute - even better than expected. Very clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent - super short drive to the beach and convenient to everything you could need in Eastham and beyond. We had a couple of issues with systems, but Joan and Charlie were very responsive. The *only* thing this cutie is missing is a fire pit. Maybe next year? Thanks Joan and Charlie!

Good location for Coast Guard Beach. House worked well for 2 couples. Nice size space, good kitchen, comfy bed, private outdoor shower and appreciated the A/C with the hot weather!

She is also thoughtful - there was a welcome book that was very helpful she did not forget anything - even a basket items incase you forgot something .The house is even better in person! Perfect Cape House
Lovely Cape House at the end of a cul-de-sac. Comfortable, nicely decorated, lots of space for ourselves and our two children. Beautiful back yard with outdoor shower, deck, and grill. We had everything that we needed for a great vacation. The house is located at an easy bike riding distance to both the ocean and bay beaches, as well as near the bike path and Eastham restaurants. Our favorite rental to date!

Relaxing Getaway
This house was even better in person than the photos depict. Very well maintained inside and out, well equipped kitchen, great bathrooms, and the bedrooms are so comfortable, just right for a good nights sleep. Convenient and quiet location and a good amount of privacy. I hope to rent here again!

Beautiful home in a great location
This home is beautiful and very comfortable for two couples. The kitchen is large and well stocked for those that like to prepare their meals at home. The deck and grill were perfect for dinners. The house is in a quiet neighborhood on a large lot. It is less than a half mile to Cape Cod Rail Trail. Also it is easy to ride to Nauset Light Beach. The location is just perfect for exploring the outer cape and the National Seashore. The owners were great to communicate with and very responsive. Would HIGHLY recommend this home!

We have rented this house for 1 or 2 weeks most summers since 2005! Our family is 2 parents and 2 children. Our kids have grown from young children to young adults during our years at this house. This house is perfect for every age family. It is clean, bright, well kept and well equipped. It is near anything you come to Cape Cod for! We have been disappointed when our request didn’t match the availability a couple of years, and other rentals on the Cape didn’t come close to this house!

This was our second stay and we enjoyed it

We have rented different houses from Chatham to Wellfleet over the past 15 years and found this house (third time) to be the best for a number of reasons. The home is in a quiet area and as the pictures show, it is beautiful both inside and outside. After a busy day, it is nice to relax in a place you will feel right at home in. Another reason, (very important), is the fact that you can get out on Route 6 with a traffic light less than a mile away making this a real plus. Arnold's, the #1 most popular fast food place, is just down the road. Sam's Deli, best sandwiches, is also very close. The bike trail is only 1/2 mile away and is well maintained. We would recommend Coast Guard Beach which requires a shuttle to transport you which is less than 10 minutes away. We had a great time and plan on renting this house again next year. Ray and Karol
