Description

Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath Cape house is a bright and airy vacation escape. It offers an open floor plan, cathedral ceiling main living space with newly refinished wide pine floors, and wood flooring throughout. It is clean and recently painted. The screened in porch allows you to dine outside while enjoying the beautifully landscaped yard. Or, sit out on the deck besides the porch to catch some rays. Choose your beach—drive 3 mins to the calm Campground Beach or 5 minutes to First Encounter Beach, on the bay, or 6 minutes to the ocean side Coast Guard or Nauset Light beaches. We are also just 5 minutes to Great Pond for a swim in the fresh water after the beach. Or take a walk after dinner—it’s just 0.9 miles to catch the sunset! Then enjoy the outdoor shower with changing room. Nearby is the Cape Cod Rail trail bike path.

The main floor bedroom with queen bed and TV, has an en-suite bath, which is connected with the living room and contains a washer and dryer. The large dining table easily accommodates eight. Downstairs, two ductless split A/C units cool the main living areas and bedroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms with window AC units—one bedroom with a king, one with a full and a twin mattress—and the second full bath. In the finished basement you'll find a couch, a foosball table, and knock-hockey, as well as lots of games and books.

Plan to cook? You’ll find a gas grill in addition to a fully equipped kitchen. Great coffee can be found at Beanstock, the local Cape roaster just 4 minutes away, and awesome bread and pastries are up the road at PB Boulangerie. Kids can have their own space in the finished basement, when not playing on the grassy back yard.

We offer the perfect location for the best the Cape has to offer—National Seashore beaches, cycling, and the lovely towns of Wellfleet (12 mins) and Orleans (9 mins).

Please reach out with any questions.

    Another great stay

This is the 2nd year my family has rented this lovely house for a long Memorial Day weekend. It is well appointed and has plenty of room for my family. It is by far the cleanest house we have stayed in on the Cape. We are looking forward to next year!

    Very Comfortable, Relaxing and Enjoyable

The two of us had a wonderful time as we escaped the hot summer in Florida for two weeks. The screened porch was delightful, and we enjoyed seeing the deck flowers and roses bloom. The yard was so peaceful. We loved having the primary bedroom on the first floor (big closet!) and the very quiet AC. The owners' binder was full of great places to visit and detailed info about the house. Having the bird feeder was special for us. The restaurant list was very helpful, especially for our first night when we were tired from travel. Thank you for an exceptional stay! show more show less

    Screened In Perfection!

After 26 summers vacationing on the Cape, we were thrilled to have been able to spend a week at Lori and Joel's Happy Place. Their beautiful spotless home exceeded all our expectations. From the screened in porch where we ate most of our meals, to the outdoor shower that was used by all, to the deck where we had coffee in the morning and listened to the birds, and to the location which was a short distance to Campground Beach where we watched the sunset. We had such a great week we are already planning for our vacation in 2023. show more show less

    Hands down the best!

This house and these owners are just hands down the best! Really- I scoured through listings, reviews, pictures, etc. before booking and let me just tell you- look no further! The house is spotless. The quality throughout and the owners pride of ownership is obvious. If you have high standards like we did, this is the house for you.

The screened in porch is a huge bonus, the garage for storing beach stuff and all of the extras in the house helped make it even more of a great week.

Thank you to Lori and Joel who texted us the minute we got there with their contacts in case we needed them. We would love to rent from you again in the future!

    We can't wait to return!

Our family of four (grown kids) loved our stay in Lori and Joel's beautifully maintained home. The house is comfortable and well-cared for with lovely décor that's fun to hang out in on rainy days and evenings (good reading lights and a big TV in the main room). The screened-in porch was a highlight and we ate many delicious meals out there that we prepared in the well-appointed kitchen.

Lori and Joel were very responsive and excellent hosts-- their "house book" led us to new places we hadn't known about. Campground beach is right down the road and we enjoyed sunsets and low tide there and it was easy to pick up the bike path or head down to Nauset or Coast Guard beaches by crossing route 6 the nearby intersection with route 6 at the light.

We look forward to coming back next year and highly recommend this lovely home with enthusiasm.

    Superb accommodations

Lori and Joel were excellent hosts! Their home is immaculate and the layout of the bedrooms, kitchen, and grounds was perfect for our family vacation. The new energy efficient air conditioning units were such a bonus since it was over 90 degrees every day. The proximity to the National Seashore made the travel so easy.

The communication prior to the trip was very thorough because they thought of every little detail. We can't wait to plan next year's vacation!

    Peaceful retreat

This lovely property is tucked away but convenient to local amenities like Sam's Deli and the Hole-in-One coffee shop, and, of course, National Seashore beaches.

It is spacious and well appointed and the back deck and sunroom overlook a private backyard. My grandsons loved the game room in the basement!

Joel and Lori were responsive to any questions we had. A great place to relax!

We purchased this Herring Brook Road home after many fond memories vacationing with our family and friends on the Cape, and we are personally pretty psyched to spend time at the house. To us, this is the place to be on Cape Cod--close to the best the Cape has to offer. We are avid cyclists, and love this area for cycling on or off road (using the Cape Cod Rail Trail just 5 minutes from the house). When our kids were toddlers, we would spend all day at the bay beaches; Campground is a 3 minute drive from the house. It's also easy access when traveling with our less mobile family members! But we also love the excitement and the beauty of the ocean side--Nauset Light and Coastguard beaches are simply stunning.
We like great food, and can provide renters with guidance on the best spots to dine. And, we provide a well stocked kitchen with all you need to cook a meal to enjoy on the screened-in deck.

What is special about this property?
We love that you can access both the bay and ocean beaches without having to travel down Rt 6, avoiding traffic. We love the light--from the sky light, the long windows, the french doors. There's nothing like this Cape style architecture; a ranch or split level or colonial just wouldn't feel right for summers at the Cape. We love the back yard with mature plantings that you can see from the lovely screened porch, and the outside deck with the new gas grill. Most everything in the house is new, in fact. There are new mattresses and bedding, cookware, furniture, paint, and refinished wide pine floors. We love how comfortable it is for entertaining, given the open floor plan, and that there's a space for kids to get away to downstairs in the finished basement. And we love rinsing off in the outdoor shower with changing room after a relaxing day at the beach.

What is special about your town?
Eastham is perfectly situated with some of the very best beaches. And it sits between two charming towns, Wellfleet and Orleans, where you can shop, stroll, visit galleries, and dine. Chatham is also not far, and Provincetown is in easy reach. You can rent kayaks or sailboats nearby, go to the beach, play tennis nearby at the High School courts, bike ride, or swim in the fresh water ponds--Great Pond is just up the road!
