Description

Eastham is the first town on Cape Cod that has BOTH ocean and bay beaches -- which makes the location of this home extra special! (3 night minimum stay off-season.)

Located in a quiet neighborhood, you are a short walk away from Eastham's historic town green where free Monday night concerts are held all summer, colorful arts and craft shows are a regular weekend event, and you can take a free windmill tour. Walk to get a coffee, lunch or snack at the local deli and sit on the green to relax and enjoy the view before strolling home.

Located directly between both picturesque bay AND ocean beaches, you can easily spend the day on a pristine ocean beach then take a quick drive across town to the bay for a pleasant swim in calm, sunset-lit water. From home, it's a quick 1.5 mile drive to either an ocean or a bay beach. Multiple ponds are even closer (check Google map below) and the Cape Cod bike trail is 2/10's miles away, popular for safe and scenic biking, jogging, strolling, and more.

Stroll 4/10's mile to the Little Capistrano bike shop for wheels (or bring your own bike) then head directly onto the Cape Cod bike trail for a day of riding and site seeing. If the nearby bay or ocean beaches are too breezy or crowded, visit the free beach at Great Pond for a swim --or to kayak (they deliver!). It's only 6/10's miles away.

Walk to the National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitor's Center to check their daily schedule of events (for canoe tours on the pond, story telling or walking tours on the beach), visit the museum or watch films of how the cape was formed. Our new state-of-the-art library is also within walking distance, with lovely 2nd floor views of Long Pond -- which includes swimming access behind the building.

Nearby towns have their own unique charm. To name a few: Provincetown (whale watches, shopping & restaurants, people watching), Wellfleet (drive-in movie theatre, artists' shops and famous oysters), Truro (fabulous ocean views), Chatham (unique Main Street shops and eateries).

This vacation home that can be your home base for all of these adventures -and more- has three bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 double, 1 with two twin beds), all with AC units, and two full bathrooms. The living space is an open floor design with AC and includes a full kitchen and dining table that expands to seat 6. You can also retire to a separate den for some quiet time. Watch pairs of cardinals flit around the backyard in the A.M., rabbits hop by around dusk, and wild turkeys wander by on occasion.

The home also includes a deck with outdoor furniture, HDTV, extended cable (with over 1,000 free movies!), wifi, a VCR/DVD, a dishwasher, and coffee maker. There are central vac units on both levels.

For an added fee, bed linens and towels can be provided for visitors traveling from a different part of the country or vacationing from a different country.

Lovely

My husband, toddler and I recently returned from a wonderful week in Eastham. The house was cozy, spotless and fully equipped. It is nestled on a quiet dirt road, but close to both bay and ocean beaches. We have stayed in many places, but this home is by far one of the cleanest and most comfortable. I'm very picky, and this house met all of my standards. The owner was organized, accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything that we needed.

Perfect for our annual Girls weekend getaway!

This rental has been perfect for our annual girls weekend getaway! Plenty of sleeping space, very clean, has everything we have ever needed.

We have been staying at this home for the past 4 years and have just booked it again for this year!:) It is close to First Encounter Beach, which has lovely sunsets. Though as a life long Cape traveler I would also recommend Skaket Beach in nearby Orleans.

New appliances are very nice.

Conveniently located between Provincetown and Orleans, we typically travel to both... great dinners out at Local Break, Laura and Tony’s for brunch and lots of great shopping (check out Artichoke in Eastham).

We have found the owner to be very responsive if we have had any questions and appreciate all of her helpful advice on local events and beach yoga. Can’t wait to return to this lovely home next year!

I am a marriage and family therapist, so my home comes built in with calm, positive energy! I am always available to you via text for your questions and to provide recommendations and tips that only we locals know: for example, where the best panoramic ocean view is in town, the best yoga studio, or the best seafood or burger. Plus, right across the street is my friendly handyman! Between the two of us, we've got you completely covered! I welcome your inquiry by phone and the chance to chat with you further about your vacation needs either now or any time during your stay.

What is special about this property?
Welcome to my personal summer home. It comes well stocked with pantry items, common medications, cooler bags/ ice packs, and refrigerated staples for your use. My home is on a wooded lot in a small quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac with only two other homes. Outdoors, help yourself to the tiny herb garden. Watch pairs of cardinals flit around the backyard in the A.M., rabbits hop by around dusk, and wild turkeys wander by occasionally.

You are a short walk away from Eastham's historic town green where free Monday night concerts are held all summer, colorful arts and craft shows are a regular weekend event, and the windmill tours are free! Get a coffee, lunch or snack at the local deli and sit on the green to relax before walking home.

Our new state-of-the-art library is also within walking distance, with lovely 2nd floor views of Long Pond -- which includes swimming access behind the building.

Walk to the National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitor's Center to check their daily schedule of events, visit the museum or watch films of how the cape was formed. Bring your own bike or, from home, stroll on over to the Little Capistrano bike shop then hop directly on the Cape Cod bike trail for a day of riding and site seeing. Finally, if the nearby bay or ocean beaches are too breezy or crowded, visit the free beach at Great Pond for a swim only a half mile away.

There is much to do within walking distance!

What is special about your town?
Note that Eastham is the first town on Cape Cod that has BOTH ocean and bay beaches -- which makes the location of this home extra special! People from around the world visit our national ocean beaches and also our calm bay beaches for spectacular sunsets.
