This is out 5th year at the Boathouse. we first came in 2020 at the first pause in COVID insanity and skipped the last year because we had to go to Italy. We loved the Mediterranean beaches there but we still missed this perfect place. this year we came with my mother-in-law again and my parents rented nearby. It's always a wonderful week here. We love this house so much. We have man great memories of sunsets, walks during low tide, dinners on the deck, card games and puzzles after dinner.

Dear Maureen, Thank you again for a wonderful stay at the Boathouse. It was our fifth year staying in this house, and it never disappoints. We grilled out a lot of excellent fish from Mac's and enjoyed low-tide sunsets on the beach with the kids. The pictures are stunning as always. We were blessed with perfect weather to explore the beaches and relax on the deck. The kids loved feeling like little Explorers digging in the sand and roaming during low tide. We found hermit crabs, big crabs, little crabs, a crab with babies attached, birds galore and spotted some seals from the shore. We ventured to the beachcomber and tackled every mini golf course within a 5 mile radius. We came, we saw, we shot well over par. We could've had a better time at a more idealic location thank you for having us.

I could live on the deck alone- it is perfection. Transcribed from Guestbook- Oh my gosh! Am I the first of 2024!?! I'm writing at the beginning of the week because i don't want to forget. This little home gets me every time we come. I feel completely at ease when we walk up the steps to the sundeck. My favorite thing is to look around and find a "new" piece of art I haven't seen before. So far my first; the painted picture of what I assume is your granddaughter in the bathroom, of her in the outdoor shower. I am also loving the "call me when your get tot he bridge", which may not be new but made me chuckle. The whole family is obsessed with the shower. Most nights we are enjoying dinner together outside and as the kids go to sleep I'm picking up and checking the laundry. And wouldn't you know there are motion detector lights slowly going on as I make my way down to the back of the house. You have thought of everything. Thank you for trusting us with your home and we hope we can keep coming back. It's now become a memory for the kids these. last 4 years that our kids will never forget.

My husband, my mother (from Southern Virginia), and I spent most of the house time on the deck appreciating the breeze (there was a heat wave!), the view an d the variety of seating options to choose from. Inside we were always finding new treasures of yours to enjoy and admire how thoughtful you were in preparing for your guests. the location overall was perfect for us to enjoy all things: the bay, trails, and beaches of the National Seashore, the Wellfleet Drive-In, cute shops and plenty of seafood! We even made easy trips to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, and the lavender farm (in full bloom) in Harwich! Having the outdoor shower at the end of each day was so refreshing and we just couldn't get enough! We are sad to leave the Boathouse and the joy that a slamming door brings. We LOVE the Boathouse! We have stayed all over the Cape- this location is one of the best! We enjoyed every moment. After being stuck at home for four months this was such a retreat/wonderful change of scenery. We love all the decor. I'm in search for your "every so often go where you can hear a screen door slam" sign. We have a screen door that slams at home and I would love the sign. Your bottle opener collection is amazing- we added one (my daughter bought it.). It's the hand painted mustached guy. The tub was wonderful-thank you for th4e bubble bath! We rented paddle boards from P-town rentals. so much fun! The sunsets were epic with a front row seat! Some of the area places we enjoyed are : Sam's Deli, the Beachcomber Restaurant/bar, Hole in One donuts/bakery, Red Barn Pizza and Gift Shop. Everything was perfect in the cottage. Anything we could need was here. the only thing missing on this vacation was our son who is serving in the Marines Corps. Hopefully, next year (when he finishes his contract) he will be with us to enjoy this gem of a beach house.

It's hard to put into words how wonderful this week at the Boathouse has been. After 3 1/2 months stuck inside a NYC apartment, our 5 year old son was like an eager puppy let off his lease here. He ran miles on the beach, delighted in the salt water and fresh air, found dozens of sea creatures, had many bunny sightings and lounged in the white swing. As a nurse who has been working with COVID patients, this vacation has been truly restorative. I have been coming to the Cape nearly every summer for the past four decades, and this has been my favorite time. The Boathouse is perfect. The location and the views are amazing. the house itself has so much soul and character. We love the art and colors. This place is clearly a labor of love. We hope we will be back one day. I've been thinking about what I would write in this book all week. It is 9:09 am and my wife is very eager to leave as everything is packed and set.So, she is voici9ng her eagerness. We had such a tremendous time. I have never experienced the outer Cape and now I know why and how the hype was or is real. This has just been such a unique setti9ng. The plants and wild life ar3e everywhere, the weather soothing, and of course the Boathouse itself. I can't express how I feel about it adequately. It's like the space I've always I've always had in my mind, but never saw until this week It was splendid

Such a romantic cozy space. Makes us want to visit the cape again. The sunsets are amazing. The nuances of the house are noticed and appreciated. Thank you for opening your home to us. We made amazing memories.

A spectacular vacation. The Boathouse is precious and comfortable. The bay was a wonderful with low tides and warm water for walking and wading and high tides for floating. Eastham is a treasure and you are surrounded by lovely people, birds, a rabbit, and magnificent views from the deck. Sunsets are divine and the mornings are beautifully quiet here. We frequented Mac's on Route 6 for the freshest of fish.

We had a completely enjoyable stay at the Boathouse and beautiful beach just steps away. The interior of this historical cottage will take you to another place and time. We left wanting to know more about the history of this cottage that was saved from destruction by being floated to the mainland. Quaint and historic! We enjoyed paddle boarding and many trips with the grandkids in the raft. The best part of every day was gathering with family on the large deck for amazing sunsets and talking into the evening. We wanted to stay forever!

I was trying to find a place on the Cape that would bring me back to my teens in Orleans and Eastham as well as take my wife Julia back 25 years to that day that I first brought her to the Cape on her birthday, and we found it. If you truly want to feel and experience the Cape as it was meant to be, you cannot pass up The Boat House if it is free.There is a small sign posted by the door as you exit which reminds you how important the sound of a screen door stretching open and then slamming shut behind you is as a key to all great summer memories. The Boat House has now added more importance to that sweet sound. Thank you.

We so loved this very special place in a very special spot. The house couldn't be more charming, and the deck--with locust trees providing shade--was glorious. Love the outdoor shower, and the spot on the bay is really great--walk out forever in low tide; step off the stairs to swim in high tide.

What a wonderful spot! We had a view of the water; enjoyed the deck; short walk to the beach! My son's favorite spot was the hammock on the side of the house. We had a wonderful vacation and this house allowed us to have some wonderful memories.

What a lovely place! It was even fun to hand wash dishes because everything has such charm. Of course the sunsets and the beach and the swimming speaks for itself, but we were surprised with the proximity of EVERYTHING! P-town, Wellfleet Harbor, Mac's Seafood (and the little Mac's Fish Market across the street) Orleans....Everything! Thanks Maureen and Bob for sharing such a wonderful cottage.

We were so excited to be coming to 'Cape Cod' for the first time (first of many after our stay here!) On holiday from Connecticut.

Once we arrived we were certain to not be let down----what a cottage!!! The Boathouse Cottage has such charm and has been done so beautifully- we have fallen in love with it!! the location, sunsets, walks to our own private beach, and days at Coastguard Beach.

thank you for making this place a 'vacation one' for many lucky people to enjoy and experience. We are very sad to be saying "Goodbye" but feel very relaxed and will be back. It's been perfect!!

When we rented the Boathouse on a rainy autumn day in Hamburg, Germany. We thought we had made a good choice, but were still uncertain what we could expect. Once we arrived here we were overwhelmed by the lovely house, it's perfect location and the gorgeous seaview. We spent a wonderful 2 weeks and will definitely recommend the Boathouse to everyone who plans to stay on Cape Cod.
