Newly Renovated Beach House w/ Heated Pool!

My family and I, (7adults and 2 toddlers) spent a fabulous week at Gimlet Getaway in Eastham. The home is exactly as described with plenty of space for us to spread out and not crowd each other too much. The house was well-equipped with almost anything you could think of for cooking, lots of towels, beach chairs, beach towels and access to free laundry which was a definite plus. The large indoor and outdoor dining tables were perfect for those nights we ate at home and we made excellent use of the large barbecue grill. We were able to find everything we needed at the Stop and Shop in Orleans, just a few minutes away.
The pool was a hit with everyone, especially the kids and was safely secured with a gate that locked well above the reach of little ones. Lots of poolside seating as well. The outdoor fire pit area with Adirondack chair seating was also a surprise hit. We spent several evenings making S'mores, talking and watching for meteors during the Perseid Meteor Shower that coincided with our trip!
There was lots to do in the area and we took in Marconi Beach in Wellfleet, ($25 per car parking and 50 steps down to the beach!) Cooks Brook Beach on the bay in Eastham, ($30 parking but a much easier beach to navigate with little ones) and had an amazing day in Provincetown. Highly recommend Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch Tours. We saw tons of whales on our trip.
Can also recommend the Brickhouse Restaurant in Eastham and Van Rensselaer's Restaurant and Raw Bar in Wellfleet for family friendly dining. The latter was able to accommodate our party of 9 last minute and the food was great!
As a veteran of many VRBO and similar rentals, I can say without a doubt, that working with Stephanie, the owner of Gimlet Getaway was an absolute pleasure. She truly wants you to enjoy her home and Cape Cod as much as she does. She is happy to share her knowledge of the area, offer recommendations and responds quickly to any questions. I would not hesitate to rent again with Stephanie the next time we visit Cape Cod!

Gimlet Getaway was the perfect location for our family vacation, which included grandparents, my brother and his family, and my family. The home was comfortable, immaculate, spacious, and very well-appointed. Bathrooms and kitchen are all updated and fresh. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and offer plenty of storage. Stephanie thought of everything! We enjoyed the heated pool every day, games (cornhole, pingpong etc), grilling and eating outside, as well as the proximity to the beautiful national seasore beaches. We were also close to the bike path and the bay beaches. Stephanie was such a responsive host, always communicating within minutes to answer any questions. I had an incredible stay at this beautiful Cape home and I mean GORGEOUS! The house was decorated perfectly, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere that made us feel right at home. You don't get many modern yet beachy homes like this on the Cape and we are long time Cape renters. The pool was a huge highlight, and the property had everything we could have ever wanted for a relaxing getaway. Stephanie was an amazing host—responsive, thoughtful, and made sure we had everything we needed. She's so kind and I feel like she truly cares about our experience. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect Cape escape. Five stars all the way! show more show less
