    Wonderful Vacation!
    September 2025

We are an active family of four with two teenagers and we all loved this cozy cottage and the proximity to the wonderful bike trail, the beautiful national seashore, the incredible sunsets at First Encounter Beach, and the charming Superette market! We can't wait to return!

Had a wonderful stay! A beautiful, comfortable house in a perfect location - across the street from Jemima Pond and a 3 minute walk to Great Pond. The kayaks were awesome and we loved the fire pit. Jennifer was so responsive and on top of everything. Thank you!!

My family enjoyed staying at Jennifer's house, which is in a great location for exploring the Outer Cape–walking distance from two swimming ponds, a quick drive to several lovely beaches, and close to the rail trail. It comfortably accommodated three generations of my family. We appreciated being able to use the house's beach chairs as well as the board games and chess set. Jennifer was a responsive host and provided great recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area.

This is a beautiful, classic, rustic Cape house.
We had a really fun time and so did our guests.
    The listing is accurate.
There are tons of linens and beach towels, lots of amenities as listed. The kitchen is well equipped, there were a LOT of pantry items and it was very nice to have a bunch of coffee pods already there!
The beds are very comfortable, but the pillows were all super puffy so if you like a flatter pillow, bring it!
All ACs worked very well (thank god, it was hot!).
We stayed for the first two weeks of July and it was very buggy when we got there (outside, not in!) but Jennifer snapped into action and got someone to spray and that helped tremendously.
The location was ideal for us: quiet but just a 5-10 minute drive to any place we needed.
Whatever (minor) issue or question we had, Jennifer was hyper responsive and super friendly and that is invaluable, IMO.
Thank you for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer's house. We loved the location - just a block to the Cape Cod Rail Trail (bike path) and a quick ride to First Encounter beach. We also biked numerous times (on the provided bikes) to Coast Guard beach as well as to the local farmers' markets. The boys also enjoyed the kayaks on the pond across the street. The house was extremely clean and the bed downstairs was very comfortable. Plenty of pots and pans and such to cook at the house and we really appreciated the provided olive oil. Also, we thought the tap water was tasted just fine - no need for bottled water. show more show less

Jennifer is a great host! She was very responsive and very helpful about giving local recommendations. The house itself was very nice -- the redone bathrooms and kitchen were a big plus, but the house still had a lot of character. We also really enjoyed the yard space and the extra amenities such as the grill and bicycles! The only thing that could have made it better would have been if we were a bit closer to the beach, but the house itself made it worth it.

What a wonderful stay we had at Jennifer's place! The weather did not cooperate but that did not matter. I stayed there with my 80+ yo parents who previously owned a house in the area for 25 years and Jennifer was sure to give me tips on how to make their stay comfortable - which wasn't hard in the charming cottage. Everything was comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming.

Just spent a long weekend at the cottage to celebrate our dear friend's retirement. We found the place extremely clean, comfortable and had a wonderful stay. Can't beat the location, a mile from First Encounter beach! Jennifer was very responsive and helpful. She is an excellent host. Loved our stay there and would definitely return!

Jennifer was always very quick to respond to any questions and very helpful with information about the house and things to do in the surrounding area. We had an enjoyable weekend biking the nearby Cap Cod Rail Trail. We also visited nearby beaches and the National Seashore. The house was quite comfortable and well appointed for our group of 5 adults and one infant. The high chair and pack and play in the house for our use made the stay with a baby much easier.

Hello potential guest and traveler- I have been visiting the Outer Cape for the majority of my adult life. A trip to Lieutenant's Island was truly my first ever vacation when I was 19. Since that time, though I have been lucky enough to become more traveled, it remains my most favorite place. It is the place I feel most at peace, most myself, and like the truest version of who I am. There is something magical about it that has always called to my heart. I get some of my greatest pleasure sharing this place with guests who chose to stay and I love making sure that there are plenty of special touches to show my appreciation and to make the house feel cozy and comfortable.

What is special about this property?
The property is special in many ways. It is somewhat deceptive. Though it appears small, it really can comfortably hold 8 people easily but it also feels perfect for a small friend visit, a couples getaway, or even a time of solitude, all of these occasions we have personally utilized at the cottage :) The access to the rail trail, both the bayside and oceanside beaches being only 1 mile away. The nearness of the entrance to the National Seashore and the sizeable backyard for relaxing, bonfires, bird watching is unmatched. We also pride ourselves for having great amenities- coffee, kayaks, bikes, beach chairs, linens for days.

What is special about your town?
Eastham is such a wonderful location as it is still so much part of the peaceful Outer Cape but so near to Orleans and Chatham that it is truly a perfect stay for year round visitors to Cape Cod. It has the oldest working Windmill, the best library, a place for kids to play basketball, baseball, or at the park (just behind the fire station on 6), the most iconic lighthouse on Nauset Beach and of course, the famous First Encounter Beach. Steeped in history, nature, and the true charm of old Cape Cod, Eastham is a perfectly positioned town to visit.
