Tucked just off Route 6 on a quiet Eastham side street, Salt & Stem Cottage is a place to slow down. Spend the day at the beach, wander Cape Cod's winding back roads, and come home to a space designed for comfort and relaxation.
Recently renovated, the cottage has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Two bedrooms feature queen beds, while the third has two twin beds. The primary bedroom includes an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Each room has its own personality, inspired by the Cape's landscapes, gardens, and maritime history, with thoughtful touches from local artists and makers throughout the home.
The living room is perfect for unwinding after a day outside, with a large sectional sofa, a pull-out bed for additional guests, and a 75-inch smart TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of workspace and everything needed to prepare meals at home.
Enjoy dinner around the indoor dining table or outside on the deck during warm summer evenings. The backyard features a grill, fire pit, outdoor seating area, lawn games, and a fully fenced yard for guests traveling with dogs. You'll also find an outdoor shower, clothesline for beach towels and swimsuits, and a small garden where you're welcome to pick whatever is in season. Depending on the time of year, that may include fresh herbs, vegetables, berries, or flowers.<br />

Additional amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the home and a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair, making it easy to work remotely if needed. You'll also have access to a first-floor washer and dryer, all linens and towels, a Nespresso machine with a variety of coffee pods, an electric tea kettle, and a hot and cold water dispenser. Mini-split heating and cooling units in each bedroom and the living room allow everyone to set their preferred temperature. For beach days, we provide four beach chairs, towels, an umbrella, and an insulated beach bag. Guests traveling with dogs will also find food and water bowls, treats, and waste bags ready to use. A Level 2 EV charger is available in the driveway for guests bringing electric vehicles ($100 weekly usage fee).<br />

The location makes it easy to explore the Outer Cape. Thumpertown Beach is less than a mile away, about a 15-minute walk or two-minute drive. The Cape Cod Rail Trail, First Encounter Beach, Nauset Light Beach, and Coast Guard Beach are all nearby, and you're just a short drive from Orleans' shops and restaurants or Provincetown's galleries, dining, and nightlife.<br />

We live next door and are available if you need anything during your stay, while still giving guests plenty of privacy. We also operate a small flower farm, and fresh flowers from the garden will be waiting for you when you arrive.<br />
