Our vacation home is on one acre, 330 LOCUST ROAD, EASTHAM, MA. Driveway is off a non-through street, Split Rail Road,
which is a quiet street and safe for children. I have rented successfully for many years thus filling every summer season including
June and September. I do love knowing that each rental I book is educated by me about the highlights of Eastham and surrounding
towns to provide the most enjoyable vacation. From concerts on the Village Green every Monday evening and elsewhere to plays,
to kayaking, to boggy boarding, to travel events and historic sites on the Cape. It is important to me to know each renters needs
and knowledge of the outer Cape plus any travel plans, for which they have questions to make the perfect fit for a Cape vacation.
What is special about this property?
What makes my property unique is a 3 level family vacation home, a colonial Cape decor inside. Upstairs bedroom has 3 large skylights with rafters, making it cozy with couches for reading or watching TV. Our vacation home has a charming Cape quality. Walking out the french doors from the kitchen, one looks down from the large deck with gas grill onto one acre of beautiful pines while grilling and eating.
Our location which is ideal for biking as we are located right off the bike trail ...Locust Road ...for experiencing the beautiful bike trail
(was in National Geographic) up to Coast Guard Beach...a ''must do''. So we are 2 miles from the ocean...5 minutes by car. One can bike to First Encounter Bay Beach, our favorite, in 15 minutes or explore many other bay beaches...5 minutes by car. Great Pond is within walking distance of 10 minutes down a sandy road for fresh water swimming, kayaking, canoeing. There are so many fun activities close by for families of all ages. The bay and ponds are a favorite for young children to explore the water life, learning about the environment. The Cape and our Eastham home is in my family's heart and soul starting with childhood memories and soon you also can experience the ''Sands of Time'' a movie on how the Cape was formed, shown at the National Seashore Visitor Center in Eastham,
one half mile away.
What is special about your town?
Eastham is the best kept secret of towns on the Cape with a history that goes back to early colonial times. On the back of our
property the colonists grew cranberries. The town water pump is on Locust Road with historic houses from Route 6 to end of our
Locust Road. Shopping in Orleans is 7 minutes away with the Eastham Superette, Deli and wine store for small orders just opposite
the Village Green, 1/2 mile down Mill Road. The Village Green has Antique Shows and Craft Fairs plus Eastham's close location to the Drive In movie in Wellfleet plus theater in the round in Orleans are favorites.Chatham and Brewster playhouses are also a close drive.
Eastham is well-known for WINDMILL WEEKEND, first week in September with music and games plus food on the Village Green.
Sand Art contest at First Encounter Beach brings families, who plan sand scultures with skill, Don't miss the parade, which makes us all proud to be small town USA.
Eastham has more water choices than most towns, including two ocean beaches, which other towns must travel to enjoy. Many ponds
provide boating, wind surfing, fishing, fresh water swimming.
We are proud to have a vacation home in Eastham!
