The house is a 4 bedroom cape with central air conditioning. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor. A large main bedroom with a queen bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds and the third bedroom is small with two bunk beds. There is one bathroom on the main floor. The galley style kitchen is also on the main floor and includes a gas stove, large refrigerator with ice maker, a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, plates, silverware and cookware.

The living room has a couch and a loveseat as well as a wide screen TV. There is also a dining table that accommodates 6 comfortably.

The basement level is partially finished and has the fourth bedroom (two twin beds) and an adjacent ''TV'' room with a wide screen TV, couch and chairs. This is a great area for kids/young adults. Clothes washer and dryer are also in the basement. There is high speed, private, internet access via Wi-Fi or LAN.

There is a furnished, enclosed, 3 season, attached porch off the kitchen that's very bright and a wonderful spot to sit and relax. When you step off the porch into the large, private back yard you step onto a large open air paver patio. The patio has a Weber grill, a propane fire pit and outdoor dining table with 6 chairs. There is also a large ''L'' shaped Sunbrella fabric couch. There is a 10 foot wide, offset umbrella next to the couch that can provide shade as needed on hot, sunny days. There is an outside shower.

The driveway can accommodate 4 cars if needed. Private beach access (New Silver Beach Association) is about a 15 minute walk (6 minute bike) through the quiet, New Silver Beach neighborhood. In addition to the beach there are tennis/pickleball courts and a play area for young kids. Approximately one mile away is the larger (more crowded) Old Silver Beach which is public. It has a parking lot that is filled early on nice beach days, bathrooms and a snack bar. It's an easy bike ride.

The house is approximately 1 mile from the head of the Shining Sea bike path. The paved path is 11 miles long. It starts in N. Falmouth and ends in Woods Hole. You can pull off into West Falmouth or downtown Falmouth or ride all the way to Woods Hole to get lunch.

Woods Hole is a great spot to have lunch or dinner on the water. It also has a great oceanographic discovery center for kids and a separate historical museum.

There are several public golf courses in the area. Paul Harney is a great place to play with kids. It's not very long (executive course) and usually in very good shape.

There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby (including downtown Falmouth and Woods Hole). Two of our favorites in North Falmouth are Epic Oyster (very unassuming appearance) but outstanding oysters and seafood. Bucatino's is about a mile from the house and very good. Also in the area, is the very family friendly Lobster Trap that serves lunch and dinner (15 min drive) with great seafood, indoor or outdoor seating. Two of our favorites in downtown Falmouth are Anejo (Mexican) and Estia (Mediterranean). The one constant with most restaurants in the area in the summer is the wait. Do make every effort to make a reservation at those restaurants that take them. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard is in Woods Hole. It's easy to walk on but car reservations are usually long gone by summer. Cape Cod Winery is about a 15 minute drive. They have outdoor, covered lunch seating and serve their own wines. read more show less
