    Great house for family vacations

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful, large home. There was plenty of room for everyone, toys and games for the children, and even a pack and play for my grandson. Having two outdoor showers was very handy. The house is very private and peaceful, looking out on the pond (and discovering the swans!). The bike path is just steps away for a shady morning walk. When a problem arose with the ac one night, the owner responded very quickly which was much appreciated. We highly recommend this place! show more show less

    Absolutely Stunning!

Upon arriving to this beautiful property, we all exhaled an "Ahhhhhhh". The house is majestic to drive up to with beautifully manicured property. Our group consisted of five teenage girls plus parents.

When we walked in, the teens all screeched with joy seeing the huge open dining/kitchen/living room. I felt giddy knowing that we found this perfect gem. The kitchen/dining room has a wall of windows and sliding glass doors overlooking beautiful trees and the water. The Chef's kitchen was beautiful with top notch appliances and had everything needed to cook gourmet meals. We also enjoyed the West Falmouth Market right down the street for fresh sandwiches and pizza. There is an abundance of seating everywhere so both the teens and all the adults were comfortable.

The house is big enough to accommodate a large party, yet feels cozy with private nooks to relax both inside and out. I worked from the back porch enjoying the surrounding wildlife-both flora and fauna, breathing in the calm of the singing birds and breezes.

There was ample space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The master bedroom and en suite bathroom was our private oasis featuring top of the line fixtures. The heated bathroom floor and heated towel rack were a treat. The beds throughout the home were new and comfortable. The whole house was spotlessly clean.

The living room was super comfortable with cozy couches and a large coffee table. There are many games at the house, so we all enjoyed a game night. There is another seating space off to the side. While there, we threw a surprise sweet16 birthday party for my daughter and had more friends come to celebrate. Still, we didn't even come close to maxing out the space! Everyone was cheerful and comfortable.

There are numerous beaches within 5-15 minutes away which were all beautiful. Our favorites were Old Silver Beach and Falmouth Heights Beach. We all enjoyed driving to different beaches in the early evenings and enjoying magnificent sunsets.

The bike path is fantastic! From the house, you can hop on the bike path and be biking to the ocean as well as to Woods Hole which is a fun place to spend the day! Much of the bike path is shady, so it was easy to enjoy. And we made many stops to walk down to the water and swim in the ocean.

I highly recommend this beautiful property. You will feel so nourished and uplifted by all the beauty surrounding you - both indoors and out!

    Incredible Property/Endless Fun

Our family had the pleasure of renting this beautiful property and we can't wait to come back next year! The house is privately situated on a gorgeous lot with views of the water and access to both a large pond and a main bike path that takes you to Falmouth, Woods Hole and many beaches. The house came equipped with everything we needed to enjoy paddling on the pond and an outdoor shower to wash off before coming back inside. The spaciousness of the main home, its tall ceilings and a fully equipped kitchen made it easy to entertain and gather with a large group The back deck that runs the length of the house provided another place for dining and enjoying cooler evenings. We loved the bonus of the large finished area above the garage. It was perfect for the children to have their own private gathering space to hang out and watch movies, play games and sleep. Keith was responsive to any questions/needs that we had. Great spot! show more show less

Amazing property on pond, with proximity to trails + beach

The house is very well kept, with a modern kitchen and open floorplan perfect for large family meals/gatherings. We love spending time on the porch, looking out toward the pond. The bike path is literally feet away, and it is a short drive to a number of Cape Cod's best beaches and restaurants.

The homeowner has put a lot of thought into the house and experience, and is very responsive.

    Perfection!

We loved our stay at this property! The location can't be beat; we started each morning with a run along the bike path and checked out a couple of the small private beaches. Smaller beaches make for a much more relaxing day when you have littles! Our family enjoyed the pond and water toys right out back, and fishing was a huge high hit for my sons! The kitchen and great room area are huge, and very well appointed for a crowd!! The two dishwashers made cleanup so fast. Ample sleeping accomodations and bathrooms for everyone in our group, but best of all our children loved the HUGE space over the garage they nicknamed kidtown! The expansive deck out back was the perfect place for coffee in the morning and cocktails by the evening. The owners left a list of helpful tips and great recommendations to check out the area which we really appreciated.

We loved everything about our stay in this amazing home!

    Family Vacation

We rented this home for our annual family vacation and it did not disappoint. The lake view from the kitchen/dining room/living room is awesome and relaxing. The house is as advertised, modern and very tastefully decorated with plenty of rooms for a large family to hang. The owner, Keith, is very responsive and super nice.

Spectacular house in a wonderful location

We have rented numerous houses - this one was fabulous. The beautiful house was exactly as listed - it is fairly secluded (can't see other houses from the property), is right on a pond with kayaks supplied (good fun and some fishing) and the rail trail path passes within 50 yards of the house. We used the path for walking/running daily and made ample use of the supplied bikes to ride the path. The very large back deck was wonderful for eating out, reading and just looking at the pond. There is part of the deck that is covered by the house above so it can be enjoyed even when raining. We also enjoyed using the dual outdoor showers. We had questions twice and called - Keith, the owner, picked up in person and later rapidly responded to texts. We usually go to Canada each summer but this year booked on the Cape as the Canadian border remains closed due to COVID. After visiting us at this house our friends all said "you should come here every year!" show more show less

    Great Falmouth Vacation

Beautiful home in a great location and everything was new, including the awesome outdoor shower. It was perfect for our two families to share. It is in a great part of town on a quiet street with direct access to the bike path.

We had a great time kayaking on the pond (lots of turtles to see), visiting the local beaches, and riding the bike path. We were so close to the ferry that it was an easy day trip to Martha's Vineyard. Keith and Amy were very responsive to any issue and the personal touch of a welcome gift was nice. Would recommend this home. show more show less

Hi.. We're the Callahans. Keith and Amy and our 6 kids, Dakota, Daphne, Wyatt, Adeline, Emmett and Beatrix. We live in Sherborn, Massachusetts.

Keith has worked as an entrepreneur his whole life, loves the freedom of time being a business owner allows, and his favorite hobby is mountain biking.

Amy worked as a teacher before deciding to stay home with our 6 kids which was really important to us. One of our best friends describes her as ''grace under pressure.'' She's truly loves being a mother and makes raising 6 kids look effortless.

Dakota (11) loves horses and has been riding since she was 3.
Daphne (9) our most outgoing child only wants to be with friends and ''party.''
Wyatt (7) our little brain invests his allowance and birthday $$ in the stock market (yes, true story).
Adeline (5) loves her ''papa'' and goes to an outdoor farm camp for preschool.
Emmett (3) is the maniac of our family. He broke his leg at the age of 1 and it pretty much sums him up.
Beatrix (1) was a home birth at the peak of Covid. She is the sweetest little girl.

What is special about this property?
For the last 5 years, we have been looking at properties but never seemed to find the right one. In May of 2021 our realtor messaged us about our home and told us we needed to come and see it. In all honesty, we were a little turned off by the colors. She insisted so we made the drive down. We fell in love with the home right away.

First, it's on the cutest little dead end road with only 3 other homes. Then you pull in the driveway and you're greeted by a massive stone chimney. Then you wrap around to your parking spot, get out and there is a breezeway between the garage and main house. Through that breezeway you can see Wing Pond framed like a painting. It was in that moment we fell in love with the house. We got inside and everything is overbuilt. The entire back of the home is floor to ceiling windows. The ceilings are a minimum of 9 feet throughout. The open concept with the huge kitchen island, the massive back porch, the room over the garage, we just fell in love.

One problem. It was out of our budget!! We decided to move forward and buy it with the goal of renting it out for a few years to help pay for things. So now you get to share in our dream home.

What is special about your town?
Keith grew up vacationing on the Cape and it always held a place in his heart. Amy grew up vacationing on Nantucket, which held a place in her heart. While dating and eventually married, we jumped around between the various parts of the Cape and Nantucket. Eventually we started to come back to Falmouth each year.

We've fallen in love with Falmouth because there is so much for our family to do. We love the Shining Sea Bikeway. Amy loves taking the littles to Woodneck Beach. Keith and the older kids love Chappy, where the kids sneak off and jump off the bridge. We're foodies and the restaurant scene in Falmouth just keeps getting better and better. And then it's just easy to get to. With a large family, we like the convenience of being able to shoot down in and hour and a half.
