This property has it all: the lake, the dock, an acre and a 1/2 of woodlands. The house, new in 2003, built specifically as a vacation rental, has many amenities. If the weather isn't just as you like it or you've had enough sun, there's always a challenging game of ping pong, a relaxing game of pool. Bring your favorite action packed movies to see and hear on the surround sound. There are plenty of quiet places in the house to get away with a good book.

The waterfront by the lake gives you the chance to bring your boat and tie it up to the dock. The 760 acre lake allows powerboats, fishing, skiing, tubing, and sailing. There is a canoe and 2 kayaks available for your use.

The central location makes it close to exploring the 'Brewster Flats', Classic plays at the 'Dennis Playhouse', Rolling surf at the 'National Seashore', best beaches on the Cape in W. Dennis along with waterfront dining at the Lighthouse Inn. Some of the best Bass fishing on the East Coast from the shore or Guided small boat inquire with email. Miles and miles of newly resurfaced bike trails. Shopping in Chatham, antiquing on Route 6A, exploring Rock Harbor in Eastham or Sesuit Harbor in Dennis, it's all close by.     Big House on the Pond

    My family of four along with my two friends and their kids spent two weeks in this amazing home. Incredibly spacious, bright and clean. The set up of the home was perfect for three families. Favorite parts were the open kitchen that had a great counter space and stools for the kids. Also, the deck. Many evenings spent on the deck having fun with the families. And of course, the pond. We are long time cape codders so we just assumed the pond may not get used considering we are beach lovers. Greg's pond was beautiful. Fully equipped with kayaks, a canoe and a paddle board. The kids were obsessed. The mom's went out every morning to kayak and paddle board too! I can't say enough about this wonderful home. Offered us such a great opportunity to make memories with our kids and each other. Forgot to mention the front row seats for the sunsets. What a treat to be able to just walk 20 feet to get to that show!
    Greg was super nice, very easy to work with. His daughter was as well. I never heard her at all. Not even close to being an issue so don't let it even be a thought when you choose this home. Thank you so much Greg for sharing your home with us!     show more show less

    Long Pond, a nice place to stay on Cape Cod

    We loved this home and the location was perfect.

    We did bring our boat and were able to enjoy many hours on the pond and awesome new dock. Worked out to be a great location to do day trips to Provincetown, Chatham, Breakwater Beach, Nauset Beach, and took a fishing boat out of Harwich Port then returned to beautiful calm relaxing waters on the pond where the kids (ages 15-21) enjoyed kayaking, swimming, fishing,

    boating, and sunning. The listing was right on with the layout of the house and amenities and was clean and well-maintained. Could have used a TV in upstairs MB and more lighting in basement but not a deal breaker. I would recommend this this to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation to a busy Cape Cod.

    Awesome location for big family vacation!

    This place was awesome! I don't think I can say enough good things about it. The parking was ample. The house was clean and enormous! We had enough room inside for 8 adults and some children. The kitchen was great with a nice desk area for a computer. It had an island with seats and the whole living area/kitchen and dining was all open so we could all have conversations all the time. BR set up worked out fine too. The place has a huge deck outdoors (2) and a nice front covered porch. Has a short beautiful path to a very large lake and dock that we took our boat in. Kids loved hanging out on the dock or the game room. Or we drove 1 minute down the road to the Lake beach front which we liked better than the ocean. No traffic in this area...nice and quiet! Also had a wonderful whirlpool tub. I could go on and on about this place! And the owner Greg was great to work with!

    When I started spending time on Long Pond in the late 70's as a young man, I always thought how wonderful it would be to have a place on this beautiful body of water. I first missed an opportunity in the early 90's and then in 2000 I happened to see a private lot for sale and when inquiring they had 5 offers on the property and were going to make a decision by the end of the day. Fortunately I had financing in place to make a move and my offer was accepted. Over the course of the next 3 years, I designed and built the house to have lots of family space for both family gatherings in large rooms and areas to be able to have quiet space to get away and reflect with the natural surroundings of the woods down to the pond.

    What is special about this property?
    Special features of the house include a Master Bedroom, bath, walk-in closet on the main living floor and a second Master Bedroom, bath, walk-in closet on the second floor. The 3 bathrooms that are adjacent to or through the bedrooms each have a double sink and a door separating the tub/shower and toilet area for extra privacy. There are 3 porches, one covered, by the front entry, the main deck accessed off of the living room and dining room and partially covered by the one off of one of the guests rooms. Great reading spots or just sitting for morning coffee.
    When you've had enough sun, the game room is the cool place to hang out for a rousing game of Ping Pong or relaxing game of pool. To make sure you have a cool place to be during the heat of the summer there are 2 central A/C systems because of the size of the house, about 4500 sq. feet one for the main living floor and game room and one for the second floor bedrooms and upstairs TV watching area. Then there is the pond, the best part, there is a path from the back of the house leads down thru the woods about 300 feet to the waterfront area, small beach and sitting area and the dock. Very relaxing indeed!

    What is special about your town?
    Harwich is a lovely rural town, centrally located to village shopping in nearby Chatham, Brewster, Harwich Port and Dennis. Beaches of the outer Cape, Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket Sound are a short distance away, the rail trail runs just past Long Pond on the west and north sides of the Pond. And each surrounding town including Harwich offers golf at multiple public courses. Something for everyone!!!
