Family of four that spent many wonderful summers in Harwich when kids were younger. Many fond memories of afternoons at Bank Street Beach, biking to ponds, evenings at Harwich Mariners games, grilling on the back deck watching the sun set over the bog, sailing or kayaking on Pleasant Bay. We are unable to use the house in July this year because of teenagers' off cape responsibilities. We're sure someone else will find it a great place to spend some golden summer time.

What is special about this property?
This is a simple but much loved cottage on a road that was once filled with similar cottages. Many of them have been sold off and suburban type homes built in their places. Our cape house retains a sense of a simpler time and is NOT for someone looking for a high end luxury vacation. The price reflects that. It is charming, clean, and comfortable with a nice yard for kids to play in. It is in one of the best locations on Hoyt Road with an unobstructed view of the working Bank Street Bog and a walking path to Harwich Conservation land. It is an easy walk or bike ride to a harbor, the beach, restaurants/coffee shops, and the library with its nice collection of daily newspapers and children's programs. A never crowded 9 hole golf course ($24) is 1 mile away and Harwich Mariners games (free) are 2 miles away (great way to spend a summer evening). For those looking for a nice bike ride, it is 8 miles to the Chatham light entirely by bike path. In short, it is very nice place for a family to reconnect without the distractions of home.

What is special about your town?
See above. I might add the Rail Trail is at the top of Bank Street and from there one can ride easily to beautiful ponds for freshwater swimming, Chatham, or Brewster.
