Beautiful home, kind and welcoming hosts, and an amazing weekend all around!
I do not have enough good things to say about this property or the hosts. Our prior reservation for this weekend cancelled on us last minute with no warning, and we thought we were going to need to cancel our girls weekend, which was the only plan we had left to celebrate my best friend who's wedding had been cancelled due to Covid. Marylynn was so responsive and so kind and eager to have us - she even went as above and beyond to ask me what our color scheme for decorations was so she could pull some matching plating and linens for us. She allowed for an early check in so we could decorate (and even helped by pulling some beautiful rose gold lanterns from her attic for us!) and offered a late check out as well so we could enjoy the beach.
The house is LOVELY, so well kept, and has such charm and character. More than enough beds for our group of 10 girls (could even have more). The front yard overlooks the harbor and is lovely to sit outside on (or in our case, play some games!), and additional parts of the large property's yard hosts a BBQ area with ample seating, and a fire pit with cozy couches surrounding it, even a Koi pond area with adorable lighting! The beach (which essentially is private, we were there on Labor Day weekend and the beach was empty except for us and a couple other people) is a 5-10 min walk, just across the street, and absolutely beautiful.
We hosted an amazing and very special dinner catered by a private chef at Marylynn's beautiful dining room table. She allowed us to use her many decorations and plates to set the table for the special evening. I truly cannot thank the Clunes enough for our stay - they saved our weekend and allowed us to shower our best friend with love and memories, thank you so much and we can't wait to stay here again!

Owner Response:
We were so pleased to host Amanda and her delightful friends at Steppingstones. They took great care of our home away from home and treated it as if it were their own while enjoying THE HOUSE AND AREA to the fullest extent. Moreover, it was gratifying know that they availed themselves of our lovingly acquired dinnerware that complemented the expertise of their private chef who brought his expertise to this long "Covid-19 delayed" wedding celebration. They were honest about their planned celebration and followed the rules of Stepping Stones and Harwichport. We would WELCOME Amanda back with her friends anytime.
