We had a wonderful time at Ainat and Gordon's house in Harwich. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and was very clean and modern feeling. There is a small beach on Long Pond literally 1 min away by foot that was perfect for a morning or late afternoon swim when we didn't want to go to a bigger beach and drag all of our stuff. Often there was perhaps only one other family there, but sometimes no one, so it felt very private. Sheeps Pond, which has a bigger beach, is a 4 min drive. We also really liked Red River beach, which is on the ocean (15 min drive). Overall, the house is very well located, within easy driving distance to many nice towns, ocean beaches, and ponds.

We were able to rent bikes for several days and take full advantage of the easy access to the rail trail (a 5-7 min walk). There is a nice shed in the back yard where we stored our bikes overnight, and which also had lots of great beach gear and toys for use.

The back yard is large and very well maintained as well. There is a good fire pit and several outdoor spaces to eat or just relax.

The bedrooms were spacious and clean and we appreciated the A/C units that were in each room. At one point we had 5 adults and 2 children in the house and it still didn't feel cramped. The owners also kindly provided us with a travel crib (pack-n-play) for our infant, which was super helpful.

The hosts clearly put a lot of effort into making the place nice for guests, from the nice touch of a welcome basket and note to the beach-themed decorations throughout the house. They were also very responsive throughout our stay if we had any questions.

It is a beautiful and well maintained house in a very central location. Would certainly recommend it to others!

The title of the house is not deceiving, you will not forget this house located just a short walk from a private oasis on Long Pond. The house is perfectly located for folks who want to try a variety of activities. You can get to a whole list of Bay or Ocean beaches within 10-30 minutes, the bike path is literally at the end of the road which will take you to ice cream, restaurants, and beautiful Cape Cod vistas, and you have your own slice of fresh-water heaven one house away with a small semi-private beach on Long Pond.

The house itself is well stocked with everything you need to make a memorable stay. The A/C helps for those times when the breeze just isn't cutting it, the fenced in yard is great for backyard games, and the grill, deck, and outdoor shower will make it so you barely use the inside of the house at all!

This was our second consecutive summer renting and we all loved it once again! Our family of 6 adults and one toddler had plenty of room and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful backyard, outdoor shower and deck. The location is spectacular as Long Pond is one house away and the rail trail is right up the street. I recommend this property to anyone looking to stay on the mid-Cape!

Our family vacation was superb! The house was lovely and comfortable. 7 of us stayed, 3 adults and 4 teen boys. Plenty of room for all of us in this home. Had everything we needed, so convenient and the owner is available ALL THE TIME! We had a great vacation and will be back! Thank you for letting us stay, Ainat and Gordon.

I concur with all previous reviews. We rented kayaks for the week which was great as we could make full use of the pond. A very clean and well kept house. I imagine anyone who rents this place will be very pleased and have a wonderful time.

We had the most amazing say at Forget My Not by Long Pond, it's almost hard to put it into words because we could go on and on about it. Here's a list of the reasons why this house was perfect for our family.

1. The bike path was a short ride down a beautiful and rarely traveled road that bordered the pond. Just one section of the bike path away was delicious pizza AND ice cream. I'm embarrassed to admit how often we rode down there for an after-dinner treat!
2. The pond (which was more like a lake in size) was literally one house away, and there was almost never anyone there. We enjoyed swimming at all times of the day, especially after dinner when we got to enjoy the sunset and a nice cool dip before bedtime! We even rented a paddle board for a few days so we could explore and we realized how many other cool little beaches there were that we missed!
3. Being centrally located gave us the ability to enjoy so much of the Cape. We went to beaches in Brewster, Harwich and Dennis that were all 20 minutes or less from the house. We also frequented Chatham, Yarmouth, and were less than an hour from PTown. Being in the middle of it all made it possible to do so much!
4. The house was perfectly appointed to enjoy the week. The A/C was amazing on the super humid days, our kids loved the basement playroom, and the yard was perfect for yard games, smore's on the fire pit and grilling and enjoying meals together on the big deck!
5. Ainat and Gordon provided all the kitchen tools and appliances you could want, beach towels and chairs, a local guide, and the little things that made life easy like laundry detergent, soap, and even a kit for making smore's which the kids LOVED.

I could go on, but in summary I'll say that we were nervous about finding the right house and location for a vacation with our three young kids where we would actually be able to enjoy ourselves and relax, while also having enough activities to keep them busy. We could not have found a better spot than Forget Me Not by Long Pond. We would recommend this house and these owners to ANYONE looking for a little slice of heaven on the Cape!

This house was awesome! We have rented on the Cape many times but this was our favorite! It is a well maintained and warm home with a beautiful back yard. We are a family of 6 adults and a baby and there was plenty of room for all of us.

The best part of this property, however, is its proximity to Long Pond, only a house away! Having such close access to this gorgeous pond made our stay SO much more enjoyable than any of our previous rentals.

The owner, Ainat, was also very responsive to our inquiries. We look forward to staying at this great property again!

The house was exactly like advertised clean, fully equipped, cosy and surrounded by beautiful garden. The location was amazing. The house is located near a lake and has a little private beach that allowed us to swim every morning and afternoon. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely return to this place in the future.

Having been to the Cape many times, we thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities this property offered. Ease of dealing with the owners (responsiveness, friendliness, etc.), proximity to Long Pond and the bike trail, lovely home and yard and information provided before and during our stay.

We had a very pleasant vacation while visiting this beautiful place. From the minute you enter it, you feel calm. It is beautiful from the inside out!

The layout is very comfortable and there are many nice touches, both aesthetic and functional, to make your stay pleasant. There is a nice sitting area with a large screen TV, and the kitchen is spacious and well furnished.

The house is located a few steps from the pond and close to several walking paths. It is a quiet street that few cars enter but it is close to many areas of interest. We used Ainat's info and went for walks along the bike path, the bog and nearby beaches.

The yard and the deck were very inviting! We enjoyed hearing the birds and watching the "resident" bunny. Unfortunately we did not have a chance to use the fire pit but we will next time! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The WiFi was strong. A big plus was the game room in the basement!

We felt the love that the owners had put into this house and we enjoyed it so much!

Lisa and I enjoyed our stay at this property very much. The owners' replies to our queries were prompt and professional and the home itself is beautifully decorated.

The view of the lake from the upper deck was truly outstanding. The perfect place for some early evening cocktails watching the sky change colors.

Close access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking was a plus as I am an avid biker. It was a 40 minute ride to Skaket Beach with many scenic overlooks along the way. For walking, having the choice of Cape Cod Bay or the Atlantic side is great as well. Both have distinct personalities and are an equidistant trip of less than 15 minutes from the home.

I notice many things about a property during my stays at various locales around the world. The most interesting thing about this location is the time and effort spent in interior design. There is a great deal of attention paid to using color particularly a wide palette of nautical blues and grays. Exposed beams, four poster beds, roll top desks and period side tables/sea chests are carried as a theme throughout the home. A great deal of thought went into blending both modern and historical touches throughout this property.

Great space! It had all the amenities I was looking for and its location was premium with a beautiful beachside walking path. We loved using the bonfire and enjoyed the peaceful outdoor space. The beds were very comfortable as well. I would absolutely recommend this space to anyone and everyone!
