We were both born and raised on Cape Cod. If you are looking for advice for specific things to do or see we can provide local recommendations. We are very laid back and can be as attentive or invisible as you wish during your stay. While this is our first year offering Casa de Cod to the public we are extremely experienced with rental properties and have been landlords for the past 13 years.

Ralph grew up in Harwich and graduated from Harwich High School. He joined the Navy immediately after high school launching and recovering aircraft on the USS CARL VINSON. Ralph currently spends winters in the Chesapeake Bay region of Maryland working construction. He lives on Cape in Truro during the spring, summer, and early fall working as a deck hand on a local lobster boat.

Jessi grew up in P-Town and graduated from Provincetown High School. Her Cape roots go back to the Mayflower (they landed in Provincetown first - check out the Pilgrim Springs Trail in Truro for an easy historical hike) and the Portuguese fishing community that arrived in the mid-1800s (ask us where the locals go for the freshest seafood). After college she got a job offer she couldn't refuse and moved off Cape to Washington, D.C. However, every year she returns to the Cape to gift her kids with the unparalleled experience of Cape summers.

What is special about this property?
Casa de Cod is ideal for multigenerational families. The main level features a bedroom with king size bed and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower for guests with limited mobility. The Crew's Quarters is a great hangout for young children and teens. The Captain's Quarters is an ideal adult retreat. For the very small travelers we also have a complimentary high chair and pack 'n play for guest use.

What we love most about Casa de Cod is that you can have a wonderful vacation and never leave the neighborhood. The pool provides entertainment for hours, the firepit offers distraction on crisp nights, the bike trail is an easy stroll away, and the basketball hoop offers another reason to get out and play. On rainy days break out the board games or read a book. Casa de Cod truly is an escape from every day life.

What is special about your town?
We love Harwich because of its close proximity to creature comforts, natural beauty, and wealth of activities. Shopping, recreational activities, grocery stores, and natural resources are all within a 10-minute drive. Harwich is located on the ''elbow'' of the Cape, making it a perfect home base for exploring the entire peninsula. It is equal distance to Plymouth as it is to P-Town (approximately 45 minutes by car). If you prefer not to drive while exploring the Cape there is public transportation provided by the Flex Bus (Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority) that picks up in Harwich and stops at every Lower and Outer Cape town along Route 6 from Harwich to P-Town.

Harwich has it all in terms of natural beauty from beautiful beaches and kettle ponds to protected conservation land. Harwich is our favorite Cape location as a family with young children because of all the youth activities in the immediate surrounding area; bowling, museums, live theater, movie theaters, golf, mini golf, kayaking, biking, charter fishing, public parks and libraries to name a few. Baseball fans can catch a Cape Cod Baseball League game and cheer for the Harwich Mariners. Finally, if you are able to visit in the quieter shoulder season the annual Harwich Cranberry Arts & Music Festival is in September. The Cranberry Festival is a multi-day event featuring over a hundred local craft vendors, live entertainment, and fireworks.
