Casa de Cod is conveniently located a five-minute drive from Route 6 in Harwich on a safe and peaceful 7-house cul-de-sac. You will know you have arrived when you see the basketball hoop in the front yard (basketball provided).
Pulling into the driveway that accommodates up to three vehicles you will see the oversized 20x12 deck perfectly suited for dining al-fresco. The deck overlooks the heated in-ground pool, pergola, and circle fire pit. The property backs to a spacious one-acre wooded lot ensuring complete privacy of pool, patio and fire pit areas.
Once settled, take a walk to the end of the cul-de-sac to explore the Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT). Hike or bike the CCRT in one direction to Hinkley's and Long Ponds. The locally owned Pleasant Lake General Store is located along the trail and offers delicious pizza, sandwiches, and ice cream. Follow the CCRT in the opposite direction and you will pass True North Riding Stables and cranberry bogs to explore Harwich Center and Brooks Park.
Main Floor:
Entering the freshly painted home you will immediately encounter the first-floor full bathroom. The bathroom features a walk-in dual shower with new shower heads. Across the hall from the first floor bath is an extremely private first-floor bedroom, the Admiral's Cabin, which is furnished with a king size bed, cordless blackout shades, and a new closet organization system.
Past the hallway is the fully equipped cottage-style kitchen. The kitchen design is extremely functional and includes a gas range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, high-end Keurig single-serve, 12 cup coffee maker, new dishware, new kitchen ware, and open shelf storage. The light and bright dining room is equipped with a solid pine table that accommodates up to six settings. Additionally, there are three captain-style stools for casual dining at the kitchen counter.
The family room has a new 42-inch smart tv mounted over a wood-burning fireplace, books, board games, a large plush couch, and chair-and-a-half. The first thermostat for the dual-zoned central A/C is on the wall opposite the big bay window and controls the temperature on the main level.
Second Floor:
The upstairs bathroom has a new deep-soak tub and shower combination. The Crew’s Quarters has fun nautical décor and is furnished with two twin beds, a twin-over-full bunk, a 42-inch wall-mounted smart tv, and cordless blackout shades. The Captain’s Quarters is the biggest bedroom in the house and has the second thermostat for the upper level. It is equipped with a king size bed, cordless blackout shades, and a 42-inch smart tv. Additionally, there is a private sitting area with two loveseats for those moments when the Captain needs a vacation from the vacation.
