Description

Description

Welcome to the Wild Rose Cottage, nestled within the historic ''Campground'' neighborhood of Harwich Port. This stick-built home is one of the few originals gracing this quaint locale. This wonderful neighborhood is where you can walk to town or the beach! There are great restaurants in Harwich Port and a ferry service for a day trip to Nantucket!

The beds consist of a sleeping porch featuring three comfortable twin beds, a small loft upstairs with a twin bed, and a separate bedroom with two twin beds.

There is a welcoming fireplace for cooler evenings, and for those warmer days, there is a split AC system.

When you walk into the house through the front porch, two conversation benches have turned out to be the highlight of the house. If you love people-watching, this is the place to be! You then enter into the family room. The sleeping porch is to your left. Walk straight through to enter the kitchen—basic kitchen with full bath.

This house is one of the few that has a backyard. There is a brand-new patio with a fire pit. New outdoor shower being installed this spring!

This cottage was built in the 1870s. The bathroom is old. The toilet and flooring are updated, but the bathroom is reminiscent of a campground. Also, the stairs going upstairs are shallow and steep; you must be very careful. We put handrails on each side and tread grips on the treads, but you must be cautious! This cottage is probably not the best option for young children or elderly family members/friends. I want everyone to understand and not be disappointed and to keep everyone safe. Also, the washer and dryer are in the basement and can only be reached outside through the bulkhead.

We have been renting cottages in Eastham for three years. My husband and I spend our summers in Eastham, so we are a quick call away if you need help.

This will be our first year renting the Harwich Port Cottage. We love Harwich Port - there is so much to do! Walk to the beach or into town for dinner and drinks. Take a ferry to Nantucket, or attend the music stroll every Wednesday night July & August.

What is special about this property?
We are still in the process of renovating the Marsh Side Cottage and it will be ready this summer! Bay and ocean beaches nearby, biking, and amazing sunsets over the bay.

The Sea Watch Cottage is in a great bay beach neighborhood. Great beach for families and amazing sunsets.

The Wild Rose Cottage in Harwich Port is just steps away from Nantucket Sound and lots of activities!

What is special about your town?
I have been coming to Eastham since 1975 when my parents first built the cottage that they live in today. I spent my summers here working at clam shacks as a teen and spending all my free time on the ocean, bay, or lakes. Eastham is the perfect location and the gateway to the National Seashore. We have bike paths, bay and ocean beaches, lakes, cedar swamp walks, and more. If you like more action, a car ride to Provincetown, Chatham or Harwich Port will do the trick!
