Description

Cape Cod Retreat on a quiet residential street!

This spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is on a quiet, dead end street close to Harwich Port. You will feel at home with hardwood floors throughout, incredibly comfortable beds, fresh paint, newer appliances, tasteful decorations, and an outdoor shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with every gadget and appliance you would need to cook at home, an outdoor grill, and plenty of beach chairs and bicycles for your use!

Sleeps eight, with two queen bedrooms and a third with two twin beds and a daybed with a trundle. There is one full bathroom downstairs and a Jack and Jill full bathroom upstairs.

We are 1.7 miles to Bank Street Beach on Nantucket sound (a walk or a bike ride) and about 1 mile to Harwich port. Walking distance to Paddock’s Pond. There are many restaurants right in town (Brax, Three Monkeys, Mad Minnow, Land Ho, The Port, Cape Sea Grille, Ember, -just to name a few). Harwich is a nice central location which makes it accessible to everything on the Cape.

Imagine sunrise/sunset walks on the beach, going to Sundae School for a cone, watching the Harwich Mariners, a drive to Chatham Lighthouse, a ride on the bike trail, day trips to Provincetown, Nauset Beach, ferry rides to Nantucket & Martha’s Vineyard, or stopping by Chatham Fish and Lobster to get a fresh catch for dinner.

No smoking and no pets please.

I have been fortunate to have rented this beautiful Harwich home for 13 consecutive years. I have shared it with both family and friends. Its simplicity is so tasteful and charming. Its cleanliness is unparalleled. Coffee or a cocktail on the back deck while listening to birds or watching bunnies is delightful. An outdoor shower under the sunlit trees or under the moonlight is a must. All of the beds are comfortable. Each bedroom offers ample privacy. Fresh air or AC options further enhance the comfort. We have shared endless laughs and great conversations in the common areas. The big wooden dining table is awesome for meals and games all together. The comfy couches are perfect for evening chats and a little tv (although we rarely even turn on the tv.) The gas grill and well equipped kitchen make for easy meals at home. There are also plenty of close-by restaurants. Both Bank Street Beach and Red River Beach, each only a mile and a half away, offer pleasant sound-side sunbathing and swimming. Bicycles, beach chairs, and washer and dryer are wonderful bonuses. This is an excellent home for your Cape Cod stay. - Lynn, Selkirk, NY show more show less

Our family is extremely grateful to the owners for opening this home to us every year. Staying here offers everything we want in a Cape Cod vacation. Proximity to beautiful beaches, a short walk to the center of town, or the ability to relax in peace on their beautiful deck, this place has it all. The house provides all your required amenities; AC, beautiful deck, grill, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and outdoor shower. The owners are extremely responsive and kind. We've been renting here for years and look forward to crossing the bridge and spending time here every year. One of the best options on the cape for location, you can't beat it. show more show less

We've had our home in Harwich for 14 years, and from the moment we discovered this town, we knew it was the perfect place for a vacation home. We enjoy coming here year-round, as every season has its own charm—but what we love most is being able to share our home so others can experience just how beautiful Cape Cod is.

What is special about this property?
Our home is full of charm—it's an Abigail Adams replica featuring two doors for every room and beautiful fireplaces in both the kitchen and living room. Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being welcoming and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped with every utensil and appliance you might need, making it easy to prepare meals if you choose to cook at home.

What is special about your town?
The Harwich coast is essentially one long beach punctuated here and there by harbors. Harwich includes almost 11 miles of shoreline and five harbors, three of which are man-made. Its picture-perfect Wychmere is a favorite for photographers. There is a passenger ferry which sails from Harwich Port town dock to Nantucket several times daily in season.

Harwich Port is the town's most charming spot, with artisan galleries, restaurants and boutique shops to explore. Harwich Center, which lies inland, is a quiet but quaint village. Only a few stores, including an old-fashioned hardware store and friendly coffee shop, are among the pristine structures of this historic district. Shopping and services can also be found along the town's bustling thoroughfares on Routes 28 and 39.

Stroll the heavenly-scented fields and wooded trails of the Cape Cod Lavender Farm to discover a fairy garden—and the irresistible urge to peek in the tiny windows of the miniature stone tower. Other outdoor pursuits include two golf courses, biking the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and more than 615 acres of scenic trails. In season, seal cruises and fishing charters depart from Harwich Port.
