Grand Victorian w/ Beach Rights--On Beautiful Long Pond-

Chris was extremely nice and hospitable, answering many questions as we were inexperienced renters. The place was spotless and very spacious and had everything we needed. The kitchen and washer/dryer (and everything else!) were in excellent condition. The beach is lovely and Long Pond is beautiful.

We especially appreciated the supplied beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys. The house had games and puzzles, too! We also were a short drive to beaches. A/c in the bedrooms worked great. As true city people we would have liked some a/c downstairs, but once Chris recommended we open the windows we got a nice breeze, and there were a number of fans we easily deployed in the downstairs rooms with very good results.

We also enjoyed eating dinner on the gorgeous deck. The firepit was a huge hit with toasting marshmallows. The whole area is very peaceful and we really enjoyed being near the bike trail and taking walks there and along the pond. To be completely spoiled, we recommended to Chris to add some drapes (in addition to blinds) in the bedrooms as we city people aren't used to bright morning sunlight!! But that is the only thing I could even think to change, otherwise it is totally perfect. The house is absolutely beautiful and we would definitely stay again. show more show less

The Blue Heron is my favorite home away from home. Three generations of our family have been vacationing together here for the past three years, and a good time is always had by all. It's close enough to Coast Guard Beach (20 minutes) to satisfy those who like to swim with sharks, right on the rail trail for the bicyclists, and the lake is perfect for the fresh water enthusiasts. We love everything about the house!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful, spacious house! There was plenty of room for our 4 adults and 4 kids - having 3 bathrooms definitely was a huge plus. Our dog (and us!) had wonderful days swimming in the lake, we brought our kayaks and rafts and spent so many afternoons floating and kayaking around the pond. The pond is a very short walk right across the street. We loved the outdoor shower (with both hot and cold water!). The kitchen was large and clean. Not only were there 5 bedrooms, but also a den downstairs with a trundle bed and tv where my 13 year old decided to stay :)

Gracie the caretaker was very helpful and friendly, and Chris was always available if anything came up. Both were very responsive! We had no issues at all and highly recommend this beautiful home! show more show less

We enjoyed a week here with our adult children and grandbaby. We loved relaxing on the front porch, eating on the deck, walking and biking the Rail Trail...right in front of the house, the little private beach on Long Pond, kayaking, visits to the quaint General Store and exploring the nearby area. The house was plenty roomy for 7 adults, was clean and the kitchen was well stocked and comfortable. The on-site caretaker was readily available and helpful. The owners make this an easy and enjoyable rental.

This is an absolutely amazing spot for a relaxing week away. I went there with my family -- so ages from 1 to over 70. The house, grounds, and lake/beach across the street are perfect for adults to take time for themselves and for little ones to have secret adventures and explore. And there is so much nearby if the motivation to walk, bike, or drive hits. The rooms are big and comfortable. The kitchen is perfectly stocked. Everything was clean and comfortable and so much more, and the owners make everything easy, easy. I wish I was still on the porch : ) We will absolutely be coming back. show more show less

From morning walks to the general store to afternoons at the private beach and to top it off watching the night stars from the porch, this vacation home is the best I have ever stayed at. My whole family enjoyed this relaxing vacation and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. The owners are amazing and so helpful. Can't wait till next year!
