Thank you Nora for a wonderful week at your beautiful Osterville beach house. My family and I really enjoyed our time there. Lovely decorated with a simple and comforting beach theme, very clean and plenty of towels for all! Location is perfect especially for Dowsers beach and having the beach pass and beach chairs available a big plus!! Checking in and out was very easy and accommodating that we also appreciated. Only glitch was the front door lock problem, but we made it work thanks to Nora's guidance. I would definitely recommend this rental for summertime getaway's.

Did I get your attention? Good, now listen up. I write this as an older guy, a seasoned traveler. What I have learned is to look for value. This house is in a beautiful neighborhood, is spacious, modern and as clean as a whistle. Within a few minutes drive are restaurants and beaches. For the cost, there is no better place on the Cape. That's what I mean by value, you get more than you pay for. One last thing; all of the above would be meaningless if the hosts were no good, rotten so and so's but Au Contraire! The nicest people you would ever want to meet. They realize that their business is not really real estate, it's HOSPITALITY, and they have it in spades. Goodness Gracious!! show more show less

We had a wonderful stay at Noura and Bill's Osterville home. The house is perfect both inside and out. It's clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Outside, the property is nicely landscaped, and the yard is well maintained. The home is in a great location and is so close to Osterville village (a quick 5-minute drive or a nice half-hour walk). We ate at some great restaurants in town: Crisp (our favorite for dinner), Wimpy's, Five Bays Bistro, and the Chart Room at Crosby's (excellent sunset water views). We also picked up sandwiches from the deli in Fancy's market to take to the beach. Our favorite spot for breakfast was Amie bakery (excellent coffee, pastries and breakfast sandwiches). Osterville also has a Farmer's Market on Fridays featuring local vendors. One highlight of the home is the included beach pass for free parking at all the Barnstable beaches. We visited Dowses Beach (a 5-minute drive) and Joshua Pond (an even closer drive, or a half mile walk). One evening we caught a Cape Cod league baseball game in Hyannis (a 15-minute drive).

We have vacationed on the Cape many times over the past 30 years, but this was our first time staying in the town of Osterville. We loved it there and will definitely stay at Noura and Bill's home on our next visit. We highly recommend this home! show more show less

We love Osterville & this home was ideal for our 2 week stay. Close to everything & walkable if you enjoy walking. We even took up pickleball during our stay, as courts are close by. Dowes Beach, Fancy's market, Pineapple Caper Cafe & Crisp are just some of our favorites!
The house is stocked with all the essentials & very comfortable, in every way.

We really enjoyed our stay at your home. It was spacious, clean, and close to nearly everything we needed. We visited the nearby beaches of Dowses, Craigville, Keyes Memorial and Veterans Park. The beach pass is ideal because we never worried about paying for parking. We also took the Steamship Authority ferry from Hyannis marina to Martha's Vineyard for the day, which was easy to do, and we had no trouble with getting last minute tickets to walk onto the ferry.

On another excursion, we kayaked in South Yarmouth in the morning and spent the afternoon mini golfing. We shopped and ate dinner in various towns like Hyannis, South Dennis, South Yarmouth and of course Osterville. But we loved having the full kitchen to make our breakfast and sandwiches for lunch on the beach. We also used the grill a night or two and relaxed on the back deck with an adult beverage! We had a wonderful stay at this Cape home! It was clean, spacious, comfortable and had everything that we needed. We were very impressed with how clean and well maintained the home was. Close proximity to several beaches and conveniently located to several of the touristy attractions of the Cape. The owner was pleasant, cooperative and responsive from start to finish and made it a very enjoyable experience for us.

We stayed at this lovely home for a week last summer (in August). My family of four had so much fun exploring Osterville and all that mid-cape has to offer. We went to Dowses beach nearly every day and when we got tired of the beach we spent time at Joshua's Pond. Both were so convenient to get to and parking was never a problem. We explored Osterville Village and had dinner at Crisp one night and Wimpy's another night. Both restaurants were excellent. We also ate at various restaurants in nearby Hyannis and South Yarmouth. We grilled a few times on the deck and went out for ice cream after. Stop and Shop is conveniently located in Cotuit (town next door). And having a kitchen with everything we need made it easy to prepare all meals. We also took a ferry to Nantucket for a day's excursion right from Hyannis harbor which was only 10 min drive. If you go Sunday to Thursday, the Steamship price per person is only $55. Avoid the weekend rush and save money-we did! The house itself was immaculate. Lots of areas to hang out and relax. The 3 bedrooms are very spacious so we invited my sister and her husband and my dad to come and visit and stay an overnight. It was truly a wonderful vacation and we already booked for this summer. show more show less

My wife and I took advantage of off season prices and stayed for an extended weekend in Osterville over The Labor Day weekend. All I can say is WOW! I had no idea how nice this part of the Cape was. First of all, we didn't struggle with traffic to get there, we didn't wait hours to get a table for dinner in any of the restaurants we visited and my wife loved all the shopping boutiques in the Village. I personally loved the beach (Dowses) especially after 2pm when it was less crowded but still a lot of fun. We packed our cooler each day and spent the morning at Joshua's Pond swimming, sunbathing and floating peacefully until we ran out of snacks. The house is conveniently located less than half a mile away so we went home for lunch or a walk and repacked the cooler for Dowses beach in the afternoon.
As for the house, it's decorated so nicely and with all new furniture- no musty Cape house smell. The king size bed is so comfortable and although we didn't need the other bedrooms, you can tell the mattresses are all new and in great shape. This year we plan to stay a full week, maybe two if I can get my wife to agree. It's definitely a great house and great location. show more show less
