Our home is located in the exclusive village of Osterville - Barnstable county. Our house has three (3) large bedrooms with 5 beds that can sleep up to 9 comfortably. The Master bedroom offers a king size bed while the second floor bedroom has a queen bed, and a combination double and single bunk bed configuration.

On the first floor bedroom, there is a queen bed with attached full bathroom. All the bedrooms have been fitted with new mattresses, pillows and linens. Fresh linen service is included in the cleaning fee, so no need to pack the sheets. Bath towels are included.

There are two (2) full bathrooms with bathtubs and an outdoor shower off the back deck which is accessible from the newly built and spacious great and dining rooms. A recently renovated kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking and baking needs while you vacation in the heart of Cape Cod.

On the outdoor deck you'll find a dining table, chairs and umbrella to enjoy your BBQ. Feel free to use the gas grill for cooking but please notify us when the gas is running low so we can replace it for the next renters.

The house is situated on a quiet street away from crowds and traffic, yet few minutes from scenic Dowses Beach and popular public beaches like Craigville, Covell, and other Nantucket Sound beaches. A full parking pass is offered with this rental which allows you to park at any of the Barnstable beaches and freshwater ponds. There's no need to worry about walking to the beach when you can drive any time, as many times as you would like, and bring whatever you can load into the car. Also, the house is just a 2 min drive (1/2 mile) to scenic Joshua Pond, considered the clearest pond in Massachusetts. It has a perfect sandy beach with a lifeguard station and a full bathroom building with showers. The waters are calm and warm and just delightful for the kids and adults alike.

Additionally, the house is just a 1 mile away from lovely Osterville Village with upscale shopping, great restaurants like Crisp and Wimpy's, liquor stores, coffee and ice cream shops as well as elite spas and art galleries. Nearby Hyannis is less than a 10 min trip for unique shops and local eateries on popular Main Street. Take a ferry to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard from Hyannis Harbor for an unforgettable day trip to the islands. Enjoy golfing, beaching, fishing, and other activities on upper or lower Cape Cod while you stay in the heart of it all.

    We stayed at this lovely home for a week last summer (in August). My family of four had so much fun exploring Osterville and all that mid-cape has to offer. We went to Dowses beach nearly every day and when we got tired of the beach we spent time at Joshua's Pond. Both were so convenient to get to and parking was never a problem. We explored Osterville Village and had dinner at Crisp one night and Wimpy's another night. Both restaurants were excellent. We also ate at various restaurants in nearby Hyannis and South Yarmouth. We grilled a few times on the deck and went out for ice cream after. Stop and Shop is conveniently located in Cotuit (town next door). And having a kitchen with everything we need made it easy to prepare all meals. We also took a ferry to Nantucket for a day's excursion right from Hyannis harbor which was only 10 min drive. If you go Sunday to Thursday, the Steamship price per person is only $55. Avoid the weekend rush and save money-we did! The house itself was immaculate. Lots of areas to hang out and relax. The 3 bedrooms are very spacious so we invited my sister and her husband and my dad to come and visit and stay an overnight. It was truly a wonderful vacation and we already booked for this summer. show more show less

    Osterville rental

    My wife and I took advantage of off season prices and stayed for an extended weekend in Osterville over The Labor Day weekend. All I can say is WOW! I had no idea how nice this part of the Cape was. First of all, we didn't struggle with traffic to get there, we didn't wait hours to get a table for dinner in any of the restaurants we visited and my wife loved all the shopping boutiques in the Village. I personally loved the beach (Dowses) especially after 2pm when it was less crowded but still a lot of fun. We packed our cooler each day and spent the morning at Joshua's Pond swimming, sunbathing and floating peacefully until we ran out of snacks. The house is conveniently located less than half a mile away so we went home for lunch or a walk and repacked the cooler for Dowses beach in the afternoon.
    As for the house, it's decorated so nicely and with all new furniture- no musty Cape house smell. The king size bed is so comfortable and although we didn't need the other bedrooms, you can tell the mattresses are all new and in great shape. This year we plan to stay a full week, maybe two if I can get my wife to agree. It's definitely a great house and great location.     show more show less
