Perfect spot. Spotless, spacious, brand new kitchen and bathrooms. I've been coming to the outer Cape since birth. Family homes and now renters. This place is a gem. House is fully stocked with spices, paper goods, and linens. Owners are so kind and welcoming. Bonus was being able to bring our puppy. The kindest hosts we've encountered in a decade. Gorgeous yard, close to awesome beaches, and restaurants. We're a family of 4 with one dog and young adult kids. I can't wait rent again. Bonus: there's a back road out of the neighborhood. You can avoid RT 6 traffic.

This is my 4th year renting Colton Hollow and it just keeps getting better and better! There have been a number of great enhancements since last year. I am sure I will forget some but they include: a dishwasher, new grill, new island in the kitchen, new dining room table and chairs, new floors in the bathrooms and the first floor, new kitchen cabinets and stone countertops and a new toaster oven. We were welcomed with flowers, wine and a Colton Hollow tote bag that I use all year round. The bedrooms are comfortable and there is a full bath on each floor.

The owners are very responsive. This year we accidentally tripped a fuse and Shawn was there in minutes to reset everything.

We have already requested our week for next year! If you are thinking about a trip to Cape Cod, lock in this property as quickly as you can. It is a hidden gem!

We had an unforgettable fall retreat to mark my husband's birthday, and Colton Hollow turned out to be an exceptional choice for our stay. Although the weather was a bit dreary with rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the cozy vibes of the house, filling our time with games and puzzles. Our hosts, Shawn and Paul, , keep everything spotless and creating a warm, welcoming environment. We can't wait to return for another amazing getaway!

This house has everything you may need! Close to P-Town, not far from Wellfleet, yet in a quiet spot with plenty of space to really make yourself at home. Our third time staying at this gem!

We had a wonderful stay at Colton Hollow! The hosts went beyond beyond to make us welcome and ensure that we had everything we needed. The house is well supplied, with open construction and comfortable furniture, beds included. They were welcoming to our pet which made our stay very low stress. We were vacationing with adult children and found the location to be perfectly situated - near our favorite beach, lots of hiking areas, gallery shopping in Wellfleet and lots of other non- beach outdoor activities. We had the fortune of good weather and enjoyed the outdoor areas around the house when not off adventuring. Many thanks to Sean and Paul for a lovely week and we look forward to returning.

Even the pups know. We have arrived. This time was extra special. My sister was visiting from California . It was like seeing the house through a new set of eyes. We enjoyed all of the amenities. The yard and two porches gave everyone a place to spread out and catch up. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the essential items. The bedrooms were clean and airy. With the beach 5 minutes away you can smell the ocean at your back door. The turkeys stopped by for their yearly visit munching on blueberries along the dirt road. If I could change one thing it would be a longer time at Colton Hollow. The boys are always making changes at the hollow but we will always feel welcome. Until next year.

Colton Hollow is the perfect beach house! Great location, away from it all yet close to our favorite beaches. Great bedrooms with comfortable beds. Plenty of bathrooms and casual, comfy common areas. We're a family of 6 adults a 2 year old and 2 dogs. The property offers lots of outdoor space as well with a fenced in side yard, 2 porches (one for sun and one for shade) and an outdoor shower. We are very happy with our choice to rent at Colton Hollow. Wish we could stay all summer. This was our second year renting. The rental process is easy. Paul and Shawn are good communicators and are excellent to work with.

We had another great visit to Colton Hollow. The layout of the house meets our needs well and Shawn and Paul are great hosts. Kitchen is well supplied!

We have been staying at Colton Hollow for the last five years and each time we enjoy our stay. As always, Paul and Shawn are great hosts and we will be back next year.

Just got home and I miss it already. This house was perfect for my family of 7 adults and teens. Plenty of space, clean and bright. Our little dog loved the freedom of the fenced backyard. The 3 full bathrooms and outdoor shower meant no fighting to clean up after the beach. The weather wasn't perfect but meant we made lots of trips to PTown, Wellfleet and Orleans to shop. Love being only minutes to PTown. Shawn and Paul are wonderful hosts, and the house is both comfortable and beautifully decorated. We hope to come again!

This is my third year renting this hidden gem. New renovations on the main floor makes it both welcoming and comfortable if someone is staying there. A bathroom on every floor means no one has to wait. My friends and I look forward to visiting Colton Hollow every year. The second floor deck is amazing for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. It is incredibly convenient to Provincetown and Wellfleet. A must visit and one we will visit again next year!

We have nothing but good things to say about Colton Hollow. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Shawn and Paul made us feel welcome and at ease, helping with directions and greeting us at the house. The three level house was perfect for our low-key extended family vacation with our adult daughters and their friends. My wife and I have been coming to Cape Cod since the 70s renting various houses, camping when our kids were younger, returning to a favorite motel, and this house is now our favorite place to stay. We love to enjoy Cape Cod in the off season, just before or after the busy part of the summer when crowds are lower and temperatures are cooler. The house is close to our favorite Cape Cod places like Provincetown and Head of the Meadow Beach, a convenient drive to Wellfleet, and walkable to the bay. Just spending time at the house is great too! Our dog enjoyed the freedom of a fenced yard while we enjoyed spending time doing puzzles, playing games, cooking and eating on the main level of the house, the sunny deck and also the covered lower deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, pots, and pans you need to cook. We only regret that we didn't have time to have a fire and roast marshmallows out in the fire pit. The location is quiet and wooded in the surrounding areas and we had many great wildlife encounters with wild turkeys (even baby wild turkeys) and also a very magical coyote sighting! We are already looking forward to coming back in the fall!

Had a lovely stay with our family and friends. Weather wasn't great so we stayed close to the home w bit more than usual and it is such a cozy place and set up so nicely for spending time together. Our dogs loved having the fenced yard to run free. All amenities were very well thought out for comfort. Host Shawn and Paul are wonderful! He hope to stay again soon!

I think now this is our 8th year at this house. Sean and Paul are both great hosts. They always greet us when we arrive and always check in during the week to see if we need anything. We bring our dogs the yard is fantastic for this they're open to go in the yard and then come back up into the deck without having to walk them out or at least them to another location very easy on us! It Feels Like Home we know the area very well we know the house very well it's very comfortable it doesn't take us long to settle in. I write a review every year because I would recommend this place to anybody for the first timer at the Cape Cod area to a person that's gone year after year! Thanks again guys see you next year!

Paul & Shawn really go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. My husband, 2 adult children and our Pup enjoyed the stay! We had plenty of space, everything was clean, we didn't lack for anything.

The Main floor was great for cooking, game nights, chatting in the living room area while we watched the birds play in the flower lined driveway. The backyard was a beautifully fenced in grassy area, green grass! Hard to find on the Cape but Paul & Shawn had it!

Loved having coffee on the downstairs porch, stayed nice and cool for morning coffee chats.
Enjoyed the top deck for grilling and watching the amazing Cape Cod night sky! Stars galore!
The outdoor shower was loved! Air conditioning was appreciated when needed. Too many details too go on about like... the adorable rubber duckies... lol, the wonderful arrival gift-Thank You! and the fresh garden tomatoes that were shared with us throughout the 2 weeks! They were perfect!

It was my wife, our dog and three adult children. Space was perfect. There are three floors which meant a lot of opportunity for private quiet time when you needed it. Family activities happened on the second floor where the kitchen and deck were located. The two most appreciated parts of our stay were 1) hospitality and 2) the fact that you could just show up. No need for linens and towels or beach equipment or cooking utensils. Location was perfect. We were very close to Provincetown and the State beaches. The local beaches cost $100 for the week and the state beaches cost $60 for the season. We opted for the state beaches because they were beautiful and allowed dogs. Hospitality was very appreciated and the surprise welcome gift was a nice touch.

Shawn and Paul are excellent hosts and are very responsive to questions/concerns. Location is great and the house/property work really well for our group. The kitchen is well stocked and the new gas stove is very nice. It's wonderful to be able to have our dogs come on vacation with us, and Colton Hollow is very accomodating.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Colton Hollow. This property checks all the boxes. Privacy. Cleanliness, Comfort, Peaceful. The twice daily visits from the resident turkeys are a comical sight. They are busy beavers cleaning up bugs and bits of vegetation.
The 3 bathrooms are a godsend. Television in the bedrooms and A/C throughout the house is another plus. The kitchen is well stocked. Our dogs love the fenced in back yard. Head of the Meadow beach is 5 minutes away. Our daily destination.
As usual we give this property an A+.

We had a fantastic week stay. The house is in a perfect location for an easy drive to the beaches, Rail Trail and P-Town. Our two senior dogs were welcomed with open arms. Shout out to the owners who made sure our every need was met. Lots of extra touches that made this a memorable week of relaxation!

This is my second year renting Colton Hollow and I can't recommend it enough. There is plenty of space, a great deck and the owners couldn't be nicer. We were welcomed by Shawn and adorable Colton Hollow mugs so we can remember our trip now that we are back home.

Being in Truro it is a quieter end of the Cape in June and we could walk to the shore area and Days market (best lobster rolls on the Cape!).

Anything we needed Shawn and Paul made sure we had. We will be regular visitors. If you haven't already visited Colton Hollow, reserve it before it's sold out!

Our first visit to Cape Cod and stay at Colton Hollow was wonderful. Pictures don't do this home justice. It was the perfect size for our group as we could spread out and each have our own space, like we're used to. The nearby beaches were lovely. I especially liked Head of the Meadow. Provincetown was just a short drive and there were nice restaurants right in Truro. The Truro Vineyard is a must! Shawn and Paul are terrific hosts and we will be back as soon as possible!

We have stayed here twice with our two adult daughters and their partners. The three bed three bath set-up is perfect, plus the fenced yard makes it ideal for our daughter's small dog. Kitchen is well-fitted - we did lots of cooking together - and the multi-level, double porch set-up makes it easy for people to have some private space as well. Very conveniently located near Head of the Meadow Beach, Ptown, and Truro. Shawn and Paul are terrific hosts. We hope to go back next year!

This was our second stay at this fantastic outer Cape getaway. Our family has been enjoying the dunes of Provincetown and North Truro for over 15 years and we have finally found the one home we look forward to visiting for many, many years to come.

We are a family of six adults and loved the three bathrooms, never mind the outdoor shower.
Three levels of living space gave us room to spread out. Having an upper and lower deck was also a huge asset. Sit underneath in the breezy shade or enjoy dinner and a sunset on the top deck. The access to route 6A was much appreciated for a very quick jaunt to Provincetown, without the hassle of crossing route 6. Our favorite beach Head of the Meadow was just 2 miles away as well. Great rental!!!

Shawn and Paul were gracious hosts, providing our family a top rate space to congregate. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the house is unique, giving us plenty of space.

Everything that was presented in the WeNeedA listing was spot on at Colton Hollow, and in fact the house was even larger than we anticipated. There is plenty of room to spread out as well as find spaces for solitude. Our hosts could not be more welcoming and available; Shawn was very responsive to our arrival schedule, and met us at the house and gave us a walk-through tour along with a welcome beach bag, wine and drinks. Colton Hollow is well situated and close to everything the outer cape has to offer - ocean and bay beaches are a short drive, bike ride or walk away, and access to Provincetown is quick and easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it to be the best place we have rented so far on the Cape!

We just came back from another great stay at Colton Hollow! For three years we've stayed here and will definitely be returning. Paul and Shawn are great with anything we might need and are always accommodating. Close to the beaches with lots of options. Can't wait for next year!

Although the weather for our 2 week stay was not a 10 our stay was, as always. The covered downstairs deck allowed us to be outdoors with a good book even on the rainiest day. There were plenty of A/C units to keep the humidity in check. Having 3 bathrooms was a definite plus when our houseguests arrived with their 2 kids. The fenced in back yard won the dogs over as usual. I would highly recommend Colton Hollow for just about everyone. Paul and Shawn are attentive to every little detail. A perfect 10!

Shawn and Paul were the best hosts! The house was so clean and wonderful with everything you would ever need. The yard and fire pit were so nice to have, especially with having our dog with us for the week. The outdoor shower was also a huge plus! The location is perfect, close to beaches and nature, but also close to Provincetown which offers lots to do! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was my first time renting this property and it did not disappoint! The welcome gift with a bottle of wine and some hard seltzers, the map of bike routes and every kind of beverage glass you could possibly need is just the beginning. Convenience bikes, beach chairs and a fire pit were all working well. There was plenty of parking for the 4 cars we brought and each bedroom had an air conditioner and television. There is a bathroom on each floor, which was very convenient. Everything you could need was stocked in the kitchen, including ice, a carafeless coffee maker and washer/dryer. This property is conveniently located so we could walk to the beach or drive to Provincetown. The grills, two decks (one covered and one to enjoy the sun (with an umbrella) and games were perfect to enjoy the environment anyway we wanted. We will be back!

We really enjoyed this house. It had everything you can think of for a great vacation. There were bicycles available to use. An outdoor shower. There are 2 decks to enjoy worth nice comfortable patio furniture. There is a gas grill on the upper deck to use. Every room has air conditioning and a larg screen TV. The downstairs room with two sofa beds can be used as a private room since there is a staircase from the kitchen to go outside so it is not necessary to travel through the downstairs room. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were very nice as was the bathroom they shared. The decorating in the house is as nice as any you see in magazines. The kitchen has all the spices and equipment you might need. Shawn and Paul left us a bottle of wine and a nice tote bag. The dog was able to enjoy the outdoors in the large fenced yard. I have rented many homes in Truro and this was the nicest.

Rented Colton Hollow for second time. Large, well furnished house with big yard. Owners couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Close enough to P-Town yet 10-15 minutes to Wellfleet. Best of all outer cape worlds!

We spent a week here with our two adult daughters and their partners. It was a great place for three couples, and the three levels make it easy to all be together or spread out a bit. The kitchen is very well stocked for those who enjoy cooking together, as we do. The two decks were great for dining and relaxing. The hosts were wonderfully generous, making bikes, beach umbrellas, and other things available for us.

The house is right off Route 6, and though I was at first concerned about traffic noise, it turned out to be not an issue at all. The house is well set back, and it is oriented away from the road. Though neighbors were nearby, it felt sufficiently private. Also, it's a 5 minute drive to Head of the Meadow beach, and only a few miles up to Provincetown.

Paul and Shawn were wonderful hosts - very friendly, attentive and responsive as we needed.

The property is secluded and offers a private and peaceful setting for relaxing evenings and restful sleeping accommodations.

This property worked well for us. The hosts, living right next door, were helpful and friendly. The three bathrooms, the deck and air conditioning were a real plus. Location was great, as it provided easy access to route 6A and so close to Provincetown and nearby beaches. House had a nice homey feel and we really enjoyed our stay.

As usual our stay was fabulous. We were greeted by fresh cut flowers as well as our favorite libations. The sleeper sofas were replaced and were so comfortable. Our needs were met in record time. The yard had new plantings and the flower boxes were in full bloom on the upper deck. Head of the Meadow was beautiful. The house was perfectly clean as always. I cannot emphasize enough what a relaxing atmosphere and welcoming place this is. Thank you guys for anther A+ experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Colton Hollow! The house is very spacious and has all the amenities that you would want in a vacation home! It is also close to many of the beautiful beaches, which is a definite plus! The house was very clean, the two decks were fantastic, and the fenced in yard was perfect for our dog! Our family had the best getaway at Colton Hollow! The perfect central location to everything we needed. Just a short drive to Provincetown, walking distance to the bay, bike trails and the national seashore just down the road. It's easy to get to, just off the main road but has a great backyard/front yard and a nice quiet neighborhood to walk through.

Shawn and Paul were extremely responsive and even let us check in a bit early. The home fit 5 adults, 3 kids and a dog just perfectly. We absolutely loved both the upper and lower decks!! Couldn't have asked for a better rental. Thank you!!

Large property with well furnished house in North Truro had everything we could need. Gracious hosts ensure a pleasant vacation. It was so peaceful and quiet yet a quick drive to P-Town or Wellfleet. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful. Can't wait to return.

Shawn and Paul were great hosts. Convenient location to Ptown and the beaches. Excellent beds in both upstairs bedrooms. I let hosts know that basement pullout needed replacement and bikes needed tune ups. They were aware of the pullout issue and had already ordered replacements. Agreed to have the bikes checked out. All in all a great family vacation.

Location, location, location! We have visited the Cape for many years and our favorite spot is Truro.... 5 minutes from Head of the Meadow Beach. Provincetown is a few minutes away..the house is nestled in with a fenced in yard; wonderful if you have a dog!!

September is always a lovely time to be on the Cape but having Colton Hollow as our home base this year made it even more special! We were spoiled by the choice of two decks. The safe haven for our pooches was hit with them and set our minds at ease. The house is charming! The firepit, lovely landscaping, proximity to beaches and amenities makes this property a real winner!

We had a great stay at Colton Hollow. It was a nice home for two families, each with a small dog. The location was central in Truro and an easy drive to Head of the Meadow beach which became our favorite very quickly. You could also walk to the town beaches to hang out in the evening or early morning with the pups. Homeowners were spectacular, kind, and attentive. They wanted to make sure we had fun and we did!!

Colton Hollow has been a family tradition for us for several years now and it gets better each year! It has the location and amenities and space (indoors and out!) to do as much as you want, or as little as you want, depending on the mood of the day. Nestled in a hollow between Cape Cod Bay and the Cape Cod National Seashore, you are surrounded by "the best of both" beach experiences the Cape has to offer. There are not too many places on the East Coast where you can watch the sunset over the ocean. This is one of them! On the edge of Provincetown, you are moments away from eclectic shops, art galleries, fantastic restaurants, and entertaining night life! I would be remiss if I did not mention our hosts, Shawn and Paul. The thought and care they put into this property and their kind, gracious hospitality is what truly makes this feel like a home away from home.

This was our 10th year at Colton Hollow! The house works perfectly for our group and Shawn and Paul are great hosts.

In our family, a lot of socialization happens around the kitchen while we cook. The kitchen is well stocked and the layout of the main floor is great for socializing. The back yard and decks are wonderful and we really appreciate the pet friendliness! Thanks for another great year!

We have been staying here for nearly a decade. We are never disappointed with the house or the owners. Shawn and Paul are responsible and committed to making the yard and residence look beautiful.

Each year there are new upgrades; landscaping, new bathrooms, updated sinks, televisions in the bedrooms, as well as ample A/C units. They never fail to place welcome bouquets as well as libations for the weary travelers. The house is minutes from Head of the Meadow beach. It is minutes from Provincetown yet is hidden in a hollow of pine trees that gives the feeling of being far away from the everyday world. The bus stop is a five-minute walk from the house. Parking in P-town is on the pricy side so having access to public transportation is a plus.

This will always be our go to place and should be yours as well.

This property has everything you could ask for to provide a relaxing vacation on the Cape. We've now stayed at Colton Hollow 3X. We keep going back because we love the relaxing experience that the location offers. Its central location makes it easy to get to Provincetown or Wellfleet, but honestly we just love Truro and this house is minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches on the Outer Cape.

Did I mention it is an easy 1/2 mile walk down to the bayside beach where we walk our dog every morning to start our day when we are there.

After returning to the house from a good day at Head of the Meadow beach the outdoor decks and the beautifully landscaped yard are perfect places to relax and have a cocktail while folks get cleaned up for dinner.

On a clear night the house is far enough out from city lights that clear views of the Milky Way can be had on the deck or Adirondack chairs. I could go on and on but one should experience it themselves.

This is our 3rd trip back to Colton Hollow and the house and property are even more lovely & inviting than before! Paul & Shawn are amazing hosts and wonderful to work with. The newly renovated 3rd floor bedrooms and spa bathroom are stunning! Perfect perfect vacation once again!

We have been vacationing on the outer cape since our young adult children were tiny. We have stayed in Truro or North Truro every year, other than one where we rented in Wellfleet. We love the outer cape! This house was clean, comfortable, dog friendly, (fenced yard!) roomy, there are super comfortable beds, 3 bathrooms with showers, a washing machine and dryer, and it is in a perfect location! There is also a nice fire pit with chairs, we didn't get to use it, but I am sure it has provided many beautiful nights for many guests. Sean and Paul were great hosts, they are super friendly and available to answer questions but not intrusive, they even left us wine!

I will start with the house... Cotton Hollow home was lovely, it was such a nice home base! We spent mornings on the porch reading on super comfy chairs, we ate dinner on the porch at the table under the umbrella. We always bring our tiny dog with us, she loved the large fenced yard! The beds were more comfortable than our beds at home! The kitchen is very user friendly, which is important to us as we have some serious food allergies to deal with, so we can only rent where there is a kitchen, some are utilitarian, some are honestly unusable, but this house has a great kitchen and is fully stocked with pots and pans and dishes and a big clean sink. And the house has a washing machine and dryer! We loved the shower in the upstairs bathroom, there are 3 bathrooms all with showers, one with a tub, but we all just loved the stand-up shower on the third floor.

The location was perfect! We have mostly rented cabins or homes on the beach on the bay side of Truro, this was our first time renting a house that was not directly on the beach. Our kids have never actually liked swimming in the bay, so while we do like to walk on the bay beaches at sunset or early morning with the dog, we mostly drive to the ocean beaches anyway. This house is very close to the bay beaches though, it was an easy walk to one of the Truro town beaches, so that is a plus if you do like to go to the bay beaches. It is also really close to Head Of The Meadow which is our favorite beach! Head Of The Meadow has big tide pools that are fun to swim in and really safe for little kids but still has big waves out past the sandbars. It is fun to walk way out on the sand bars and the walk along the dunes on the soft sand is perfect. Head Of The Meadow is basically directly across the street, it is such an easy drive! We stay on the outer cape for nights strolling in Provincetown, we are a family of artists, and Provincetown feels like home to us, we love it! The house is a short 4 or 5 miles from downtown Provincetown. But who wants to drive to the center of Provincetown when you can park a mile or so down from the center for free on 6A so that you can stroll down while checking out all of the amazing gardens?

If you are looking for a nice home base that is comfortable enough to spend hours in while also having access to beautiful beaches on both the Bay and Ocean sides, is dog friendly, and has a totally functional kitchen and comfortable beds and an amazing shower, this is the house for you!

Loved our stay at Colton Hollow. The house was very well equipped, extremely comfortable, and we couldn't have asked for a better location. We were just a short drive to the beach, the bay, bike trails, Ptown and Welfleet, and the oh so important Chequessett Chocolates.

Our dogs loved the fenced in yard - think they are still missing it. Shawn and Paul were fabulous hosts.

I've been coming up to the Cape for 40 years now. I say home away from home because for at least 10 years I rented from up on the Cape and they sold their house. I didn't think I was going to find another place as good as my last one. However, accidentally by coming up on weekend to find a new place for my annual event, before I even started looking, talking to my wife over dinner we found someone telling us about this location.

This is now the second time I've been here and it's comfortable cozy a yard for my dogs and big fire pit for all my friends to come and enjoy.

I would like to keep coming here as long as they still rent their property! They're always taking care of this place, upgrading even since the last time I've been here! See for yourself.

Just came back from a restful and relaxing October weekend at Colton Hollow in Truro. The spacious house was perfect for a much needed getaway with a few friends. We had plenty of room to lounge around, and we could comfortably hang out in the several different seating areas, both indoors and out! The kitchen offers everything you need to cook-in or barbeque outside. I can't say enough about the space! It is clean, cozy, and inviting! The pictures in the listing really don't do justice to the amount of room you will have in this comfortable house!

The location is central to everything in the area. We could easily walk, drive, or ride bikes to beaches, shopping, and restaurants. PTown and Wellfleet are right here, and we were able to take in many of the activities in the area. Even in the off season, we enjoyed some great meals out and took in the natural beauty all around us by hiking, biking, and relaxing at the beaches.

Shawn and Paul are excellent hosts! They are easy to reach and offer great ideas for activities in the area. They can tell you where to park, what to see, and what to avoid! We were grateful for the recommendations!

Colton Hollow offers space, convenience and a clean, relaxing "home base" for a wonderful Truro vacation. We can't wait to go back to this charming "home away from home!"

Home was very clean & explained perfectly. Fenced in yard was great for our dog. Nice big deck & beautiful new bedrooms upstairs. Location is always everything & this did not disappoint. Close to Provincetown, Wellfleet and great restaurants. We love the Cape in September.

I spent a week in late August 2020 here with my family (partner and two teens, plus another couple) and we found it incredibly charming and comfortable. The house isn't huge, but it's very well laid out for a small group. The adults got to sleep in the newly renovated, sky-lighted bedrooms upstairs and the kids each got a sofa/sofa bed to sleep on downstairs. The decks were great, especially the bottom one which was shaded from the sun/rain and has cushioned chairs.

The decor is fun, very nautical-themed. We brought two dogs who loved running around in the fenced-in yard. We also enjoyed relaxing in the lounge chairs outside and playing corn hole. We brought a couple of the bicycles to the Provincelands bike trails. Fun! (and tiring!) You can hear Rt. 6 from the house a little, as background noise, but it didn't bother us. Provincetown is VERY CLOSE, which was a big bonus. Everything worked, including the washer/dryer, showers, etc. There's no dishwasher but the double sink is well equipped for washing dishes by hand. Shawn and Paul are charming, generous, and communicative hosts. Recommended!

We enjoyed the location and the house at Colton Hollow. It was a great getaway for the family and the dogs!!

We have rented from Shawn and Paul for 8 or 9 years now and have seen the house continue to transform. They are easy to work with and responsive to questions. We've always had a great experience and enjoy Colton Hollow. The new upstairs bath is a great addition! Both upstairs bedrooms were remodeled and had new (super comfortable) beds. I also noticed that all window AC units were new this year. The kids love the downstairs area to hang out.

The house works really well for our group. We cook a lot and the kitchen is well stocked. The different decks are great for gathering as well as separation and the yard (including fire pit and outdoor shower) are fantastic. There is plenty of space so that people don't feel on top of each other.

We'll be back next year!

We recently went back to Colton Hollow after a 5 year hiatus from Truro, and had an even better experience than last time. The place is so centrally located whether it be to Head of the Meadow Beach, which feels like two minutes away, or a quick jaunt up to Provincetown to Herring Cove. There is a lot of beauty within minutes. Not to mention that from Colton Hollow it is less than a half a mile walk down to the bayside beach, which we did almost nightly.

The property has had a lot of upgrades since we last stayed. The upstairs bedrooms are much more private and the new bathroom right next to the master bedroom is awesome. When we got back from the beach there is really no better place to relax than in the lounge chairs in the nicely landscaped back yard or in the upper or lower decks. You can't go wrong either way. There is a lot of room to relax out there, and we were pleasantly surprised that it was far enough away from light to be able to see the Milky Way Galaxy at night. So far 2020 has been crazy, but our summer vacation on Colton Hollow was the perfect place to take a mental break and relax on the Cape. I hope to go back again in the years to come.

This was our second year at Colton Hollow and it was better than we remember! We miss it already. The house is equipped with all you need to feel at home. Our favorite is the convenient outdoor shower after coming back from the beach. Hidden away under trees, you can't even tell your minutes from the all the excitement. Absolutely perfect!! Look forward to returning next year.

We were down for a wedding and had a wonderful time! We thoroughly enjoyed this quaint, cozy, and peaceful rental home filled with intriguing items. Great decor, clean, neat, and lots of fun. We loved how soft the sheets were! The home is very comfortable and well equipped, with everything you might need. The decks and yard are great to sit out in with plenty of lounge chairs and tables for outdoor living. The hosts are great and make sure you have everything you need and you are close to beaches and all activities from P'town and up the Cape! Loved our visit! It was a wonderful getaway!

This was our first year at Colton Hollow, and it exceeded our expectations. The home was stocked with everything we could possibly need during our stay.

We had 4 adults and 2 children in total. The children loved the 1st floor, fenced in yard and board games, while the adults appreciated the privacy and fire pit. Even on a rainy day, we all settled in and the house was easy to enjoy.

Just a quick drive to beaches, parks, and other treasures the area has to offer.

The hosts are nothing short of fantastic and we look forward to returning!

My partner and I have been staying at Colton Hollow for years. It is our go to place for rest and relaxation. It sits in a hollow surrounded by trees. The house is well set up and meets our needs perfectly. Head of the Meadow beach is less than five minutes away. Paul and Shawn are great hosts and always make us feel welcome with flowers on the counter, a note welcoming us "home" and a welcome gift of wine. The internet connection is fast and consistent. Cell phone reception is not great but that is due mostly to the location. We have had great luck walking a short distance up the hill. Having two bathrooms is always a plus. The two decks and fenced in backyard round out this wonderful house. My advice would be, "well worth investigating" as long as you do not take our week.

My first time out to North Truro could not have been better thanks to Paul & Shawn and this gem of a property of theirs. Our party consisted of four adults and four children with extended family staying close by. One night we had everyone over for lobster dinner and a fire; what a great time with so much room for us to spread out and really enjoy this space. The cottage is cozy and well stocked with essentials. We were able to catch the P-Town shuttle within walking distance and there were a couple of great beaches close by. This cottage is perfect for families with it's surprising amount of peace and privacy.

Colton Hollow is my happy place. The location is perfect! So close to beautiful Head of the Meadow beach, a short walk to the bay, an even shorter walk to the P'town shuttle (a nice alternative to the very short drive if cocktails are involved!)

Hosts Shawn and Paul consistently provide a warm welcome. The home has everything you need, whether traveling with young children or a group of young and old adults. Though so convenient to great restaurants and night life, the yard, decks, grill, and full kitchen make the option of a relaxing night in an equally appealing option.

As a 7+ season renter, I keep going back because I can rely on consistent quality, cleanliness, convenience, and complete satisfaction.

We have stayed at Colton Hollow for the past sevn years and enjoy it every year. Location is great and Shawn and Paul are very accommodating and easy to work with. The layout of the house is perfect for our needs.

We really enjoyed our week at Colton Hollow and it was exactly what we expected. We arrived on Sunday. Shawn was there to greet us and give us a quick tour and a brief description of the area. The home was clean and there was ample space for us to spread out some. Our four teens preferred to stay together on the first floor (two on the couches and two on air mattresses). The couches pull out to beds but they wanted just to sleep on the couch, which they said was very comfortable. They liked having their own floor and bathroom to themselves too. My wife and I stayed on the third floor with our two year old daughter and we made the main floor bathroom ours. We had one upstairs bedroom that we really didn't have to use at all. The rooms were nice and had plenty of space for us. They were cooled with some window A/C units. A bunch of board games are upstairs and we made use of some of them. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans and supplies. Washer and dryer worked quick and well, so we went home with a lot of clean stuff. Shawn and Paul left us a bottle of wine, which was a nice touch after a long drive in from PA. They were truly great hosts who were quick to answer texts about local spots to visit and eat. Paul also stopped by to introduce himself and see if we needed anything, but they weren't at all intrusive and left us to do our own thing all week. We really enjoyed grilling out and sitting on the large deck. Our Weimaraner loved the fenced in yard which gave us some peace of mind in being able to just let him out the door. We made use of the bikes and beach chairs that were there. And we highly recommend sitting around the fire pit at night. There were great breezes and even though the highway is fairly close, you really don't even know it's there from out back. A whole family of turkeys made its way through the property several times during our stay. The home is a quick drive to both Provincetown and Head of the Meadow beach. We went to the beach every day. The seals were amazing to watch and we decided to swim and boogie board despite the scary shark signs at the beach head. The tide pools were great, especially for a toddler. Scenery in the beach area is amazing. We bought a Truro beach pass. I think if we return, we would buy the national park pass to see what it has to offer too. But the Truro beach is literally right next to the national beach anyway. We took a day trip to Boston harbor aquarium (which was awesome) and walked the waterfront. If we get back, we will try the Tea Party Ships. Also, if you bring a toddler, make sure to try the playground near the library and the library itself. Both were very cool to go to when our older ones were still sleeping.

Overall, the house is a little older but it was very comfortable for us. It is convenient to everything, yet a quiet place at the same time.

My husband and I have spent many weeks at Colton Hollow. It is our place out of time. Nestled in the woods, it is private. But it"s just off Route 6 in North Truro so it"s a short walk to Cold Storage Beach and a short drive to Provincetown. The house is spacious. It has three levels, two giant decks and a beautiful back yard. There"s free Internet, free parking and just down the street at Salty Market, homemade muffins. Colton Hollow doesn"t feel like a rental. It feels like a home.

My friends and I enjoyed our time at this lovely house. It is cozy and comfortable, but with plenty of room. We couldn't believe how cute the house was with picture perfect decor, beds, and furniture! There were 3 floors adorned with quintessential "Cape Cod" accents - first floor is a quaint living room space with a sleeper sofa and bathroom, second floor houses the open kitchen, large dining table, well-stocked bar, a full bath, and a nice sitting area, and the third floor has 2 cozy bedrooms (each with a full-size bed). The house also has 2 decks! It's a short drive down to Provincetown and all of the excitement you can find there.

This was our first time staying at this gem of a spot and we could not ask for anywhere nicer to stay during our time on the Cape; it certainly will not be our last! Secure this beautiful hideaway as soon as you can…..book it today!

This is the 7th year we have rented from Shawn and Paul. The location is great and the owners are easy to work with. We have really enjoyed staying at Colton Hollow. The decks and yard are fantastic and the main floor (kitchen dining room) is a wonderful place for everyone to get together. We are able to bring our dogs to the Cape, which is very important to us. This was the perfect vacation cottage for our family. There were 8 adults and our dogs. We were all so comfortable. The cottage is beautiful, clean, and modern. The fenced in back yard was so nice for the dogs. The decks were great. The location is minutes from Provincetown and the National Seashore, and there's also a vineyard nearby.

The first thing that I noticed when I walked into the house is that it is even more open and spacious than the pictures can convey. The house, deck, and yard are so open and comfortable that it is the perfect place to come home and relax after a long day at the beach. The kitchen is well stocked, and there is a nice grill if you want to get some seafood from Mac's and eat in. Then there is a great fire pit that we took advantage of at night.

The downstairs finished room with pullout couches was perfect for my kids. They felt like they had their own house and deck to vacation.

You can walk to the beach on the bayside or drive to Head of the Meadow Beach in less than 5 minutes. P-Town,Truro, Cape Cod National Seashore, Bike Trails, Winery,.... this house is so centrally located that you can be just about anywhere you would want to go within 5 minutes,

I can't say enough about how beautiful and accommodating this house is. Quiet and private, yet close to everything. It was like walking into our own home. The owners were the perfect hosts. We will definitely be back for a visit.

We've been staying at Colton Hollow since before it was Colton Hollow. Seriously, our children have grown from teenagers to young adults in this warm and welcoming home, enjoying our annual family vacation together on our favorite part of the Cape. It's perfectly situated and appointed. Bay and ocean beaches are within walking distance, moments away by bike (provided). The outdoor shower (under sun or stars) is the perfect watery way to warm up. Provincetown is a healthy hike, short drive, or shuttle bus ride away. There's something for everybody!

Or nothing, should you just like to catch up on your reading (books galore), or board games (closets full), or cuisine (fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill), or napping (on the upstairs or downstairs porch), or catching up on movies (cable TV, wireless internet), or... Its rustic appeal is enhanced by modern conveniences, not to mention dishware and glasses for every occasion.

Hosts Shawn and Paul make it easy to relax, providing everything we need to spend a low-key week tucked away in a private wood that's also convenient to civilization. We thank them every year.

Colton Hollow is a lovely, classically Cape style house perfect as a summer getaway to the more mellow side of Cape Cod. A 15 minute walking stroll from the house takes you to a lovely bayside beach, perfect for sunset. The house itself is spacious with two amazingly large and relaxing porches, one is upstairs off the kitchen so excellent for meals outside and the lower level porch is covered so a really nice reading in the shade area (and a perfect place for yoga practice!)
The kitchen in this house is so amazingly well stocked when it comes to pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc, so if you plan on cooking a lot on your vacation this house offers a stellar kitchen, the stove might be a bit aged but it works very efficiently.
We had 3 couples staying in the house during our vacation and it proved to be accommodating for sleeping space. The outdoor shower is an excellent treat for those who enjoy a more spacious open air environment for that daily ritual.
This house is certainly a treasure and the rental cost for the week is adequately priced.

Colton Hollow is a hidden gem. We owned a home in North Truro before selling it a number of years ago. This home feels like our own home. It feels cared for and nurtured, with all the amenities (including high speed internet) and more. The owners are caring and kind, and we felt very well taken care of. The location is very convenient to both the bay and ocean beaches, and is a very quick drive to either Wellfleet or P'Town. We love the place and are returning this year.

I have stayed in this beautiful home on several occasions at different times of the year over the last 3 years. It is easy to find, and convenient to lots of great beaches and shopping. The property is well maintained and the house is clean. There is lots to do year round. The location is perfect!! Enough away from the crowded areas, yet close enough to get there by car or bike. I strongly recommend this as a great vacation getaway!
