Description

I am sitting on the huge porch ,enjoying a Clutter Free home. No traffic on this paved private road. Just come inside and enjoy the quiet times with many streaming services. The huge wrap around farmers porch is 46 feet long and 9 feet deep with another 14 feet around the corner It Is covered by a roof so you can enjoy even in the rain.. 45 seconds by car to Great Hollow beach .Most communities have reopened their main events, and all I can say is that gives an opportunity for all of us to truly enjoy Cape Cod for what it's beauty evokes. Fresh air, just folks enjoying the ocean breezes, and calmness .The house will be sanitized between guest visits All bedding including bed covers are washed in new huge capacity new Maytag washer and dryer so always fresh bedding between guests .
The new Weber grill is ready in the yard with a full tank and new tools.
I will be happy to answer any questions about location, cleanliness, how I treat guests, please ask and think about staying here .There is a stainless desk and chair with great internet and cell service upstairs so perfect for multiple weeks stay to combine work and beach time.

Sophisticated yet casual, with hardwood floors throughout and exceptionally clean, the home offers 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. The Master en suite on the first floor has a pillow top king bed with a full bath plus a large sun room with a leather recliner to read and relax. The living room has a 55 '' Smart T.V. with a great sound bar ,Netflix, Pandora ,premium channels. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances .new. .duel fuel gas stove, upside down fridge, dishwasher, and fully stocked for either grilling outside or stove top cooking .Laundry room off kitchen with new high capacity washer and dryer. Water filtration system so no more plastic bottles.

The views from every room are spectacular. The farmer's porch is breath taking in scope and size. The reviews are written by folks who enjoyed their coffee, their wine and other beverages on that porch. Family gatherings, weddings, celebrations of someone's end of life, the list could go on and on. The porch holds onto many children's gathered sea shells, some in clay buckets and some laying loose on the porch floor. Some children leave their favourite rock-all still sits on the porch. The wind heaves alot of air out here as the house sits above the tree line, but those shells and rocks do not move an inch. Those are the reviews you will read-families who have come to decide their beach house for a week or two in the summer will be this place.

I am listing with this site as they do not gauge you with commissions. I have stayed the course with it and hope you will check out your high commissioned options and return to book with a very simple honest concept .The house is great and the costs are low compared to everything out there. I happen to care that my guests are well looked out for.

Water filtration system installed last year so better drinking water than bottled.

Upstairs there are two guest bedrooms and a full bath. Enjoy views of Great Hollow Beach from the window of one bedroom. You look at the tip of the boot of Cape Cod in the distance - mesmerizing.Full bath between the two bedrooms-no fighting over a shower in this house.

This many-windowed house is situated on a hill with a porch facing treetops, and the master bedroom in the back of the house faces tree trunks and a ravine which is part of the property. The lovely guest reviews will tell you more.

Great location with privacy and quiet space: This house has nothing built in front of it or behind, so privacy is here. Built high on a hill, the front porch now has a new comfortable pillowed couch and chairs as well cedar adirondeck chairs for plenty of seating.Large tile dining table and chairs for outdoor dining. Very airy with lots of Truro summer breezes so no mosquitoes like most other homes have here.Gardens treated with organic sprays monthly for tick prevention.

White leather living room furniture and many large windows. Maple floors refinished on all levels. No dirty carpeting. House is kept in immaculate condition, and the gardens are well maintained.

House surroundings -'I live a vacation': The property is set on one acre on a hill with gardens and a tree filled ravine behind, all part of the acre. Half mile to Great Hollow beach, one mile to Corn Hill beach. Short walk/drive to organic veggie, seafood market and food places such as Sweet Escapes cafe, Box Lunch, and Whitman House restaurant. Black Fish restaurant and Jams deli just down the road.

Take route 6 either way to Wellfleet or Provincetown for more fine dining and theatre/shows.The house is 20 seconds from the highway, but being bayside, there is very little traffic noise. More likely to hear the bluejays and morning doves splashing around the birdbaths in the gardens.

    Not clean

My friend and I stayed for a week while attending an art class at the truro Castle hill centre for the arts. The house was very pretty and situated on beautiful, private grounds. Perfect location. However we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. All the previous reviews had given full marks for cleanliness, and that was the main reason we chose this property. Many of the dishes and other kitchenware had food stains. The cupboards and drawers were not clean inside. There was a "junk" drawer in the kitchen that was filled with grubby stuff...odds and ends etc just jumbled in. That should have been cleaned out. The fridge smelled musty and the stainless steel doors were streaked and stained. The handles were sticky. Microwave was very small and grubby. Overall things in the kitchen looked as if they'd been quickly wiped down but nothing looked polished or sanitized. We ran the dishwasher...twice...with any dishes etc we thought we'd use and kept them on the counter after we scrubbed it. I used the main floor master bedroom...when I moved the nightstand to access a plug for my phone charger, i was shocked to see the filth behind it and the bed (it was pulled out from the wall several inches). Baseboards were filthy. This was not dust from a few days of opened windows...this had not been cleaned for a very long time. After seeing this, we examined the rest of the house and found the same kind of dust, webs and dirt behind furniture and on the baseboards. My bathroom was not spotless at all...I scrubbed the toilet and tub before using them. There were several AC window units but they were covered in grimy dust so we didn't use them, even though it was hot. Two of the nights were very cold...we were unable to find any extra blankets anywhere in the house and both of us slept in sweat pants and socks, and put our bath towels over the single coverlet for warmth. In general the house looked good on the surface but was in very great need of a proper deep cleaning in all areas. What really bothered us the most, and what prompted me to write this review, is that the owner asked us to please strip our beds and start a wash cycle before we left. I found that to be a very reasonable request...but she said to run the washer on a quick cycle. That was horrifying. The renters after us were expected to be sleeping on linens that had been through a very short wash cycle...and we felt sick to think that we had been sleeping on linens that had not been properly sanitized before our stay. I assume the same applied to the towels. After the pandemic one would expect extra vigilance on the part of the owner to ensure that all items and areas be spotless and properly sanitized to ensure that no diseases would be spread between guests.
This was a house and property that we would have happily rented again...but not after our experience. It's very nice to have lovely grounds and pretty decor, but cleanliness should be the most important priority for an owner when placing a property up for rent.
I wrote the owner about this, and have not received a reply.
We cannot recommend this house in the condition it is in now, and how it was not been properly maintained.

The guest did not tell me of any of this while she visited...only that she like the house when I asked.
When I got news of her review, I hired a team of 4 to do a full deep thorough cleansing of the entire house. The house is surrounded by trees so spiders can show up. All my reviews have been stellar prior to her visit and I have alot of repeat happy visitors.

    What a Gem

The house was wonderful!!! Great location. Very comfortable in all aspects. Full of all the nice touches that made our week's rental very easy.

Over the years we've stayed in a number of places on the lower cape, which were okay at night but where you dreaded a rainy day and being stuck in the house for more hours than you signed-up for. When we spent a rainy 1-2 days in THIS house, it was a joy. Enough sitting areas where people could have privacy and lovely common areas where some of us could work on a jigsaw puzzle, others could be drawing in their sketchbooks, and some could read.

The house is well-stocked with all the kitchen and cooking utensils would could dream of. The owner thoughtfully checked-in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Which we did!

And, the location is so perfect. Easy to get to beaches and neighboring towns. Extremely private and quiet, clean, and very very well maintained.

    We highly recommend this house!

    Lovely spot!

We really enjoyed our Columbus Day weekend at this beautiful home. The space is lovely - much nicer than a typical rental home - and we enjoyed the Outer Cape in the off-season. Thanks for a relaxing weekend!

    Great Home

Our family really enjoyed the home and surrounding area. We had four people during the stay and we all had plenty of room to be together or have some alone time. The location is very private and quiet. The owner has been attentive to the details.

    Great place

We enjoyed the house a lot. Of note was the breezy covered porch and watching Mr. and Mrs. Goldfinch at the birdfeeder. The natural surrounding were really peaceful. Nearby Corn Hill beach was great for morning walks, with Provincetown and restaurants a short drive away. There was air-conditioning throughout the house, though it was rarely used as the screened windows provided great ventilation. The beds were large and comfortable.

This house is beautifully located in North Truro, surrounded by trees and is very private. The porch is just wonderful for drinks in the evening when the sun shines all over it. Outside the house there are so many different settings that makes you enjoy every moment of your day. The beach nearby is beautiful and Provincetown is 10 minutes away. The owner is such an amazing host. Everything inside the house is thought with care to make your vacation stress free and perfect!

Everything You Want is Right Here!

We just spent a week at this beautiful home with everything we needed for a blissful vacation. We are a family of 3 adult couples. The older generation got the spacious master bedroom and en suite bathroom with a very comfortable king size bed and beautiful adjoining sunroom. The younger couples took the upstairs bedrooms with accompanying hallway bathroom. The third half bath in the downstairs laundry room was a great bonus. The layout is wonderful and the house is very nicely furnished and extremely well maintained with beautiful maple flooring in all of the rooms. The kitchen was very well equipped and I am extremely picky. I will use only stainless steel pots and pans and glass cookware and it was all there along with a beautiful new barbecue on the adjoining porch. The porch not only wrapped around the living room and dining room, but was also fully covered with recessed lighting and had ample furniture for dinning and lounging.

Truro is the best location on the Outer Cape and this house is one of the best locations in Truro. Walking distance to Great Hollow Beach, the fish and produce market, a great cafe and local pottery shop yet quiet and peaceful. The only thing nicer than this beautifully clean, breezy and well maintained home was the owner. We definitely plan to return to this beautiful location.

    Our best Cape getaway yet!

We loved this house. The LOCATION is perfect: situated very close to a great Bay beach and very short drive to several ocean beaches. The HOUSE is perfect: we rented it for a week for the 4 of us (we have 2 kids ages 8 and 4) and there were so many "getaway" spaces for all of us: the upstairs bedrooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The downstairs bedroom has a really comfortable *King* bed (rare with rentals) and lovely sitting area off to the side, with a master bathroom! The porch was our favorite spot, with several great sitting areas to chill out in the morning or after a long day at the beach.

The best part was the HOST: she designed this awesome house herself, and was so thoughtful about making our stay there special. She knew we had kids so provided toys and activities for them (which she didn't have to), gave us great tips on walking paths and places to eat, got us caught up on local lore and funny stories, and she takes GOOD CARE of her home. We've stayed in a few crappy rentals on the Cape that we put up with due to the location, but this is a cut above the rest! We'd love to return next year.

I always meet the guests on Monday to show how to work all appliances. As I walked up the porch stairs, I heard a rush footprint sound and a 4 year old boy ran across the porch, grabbed my ankle, up my leg, landed on my shoulder and I heard' I love you and this house and thank you for letting me stay here'.

Needless to say, he is welcome back with his family in tow.

Private Hideaway. Please keep this Gem to yourselves!!

This is an absolutely perfect hideaway, very close to the beach, special hiking trails and magnificent ocean and marsh pathways along the beach. The owner updates this beautiful home with all the cooking and beach equipment necessary to have a wonderful time. This home is a true find. We spent 2 weeks here and have already signed up for next year. The breezes on the 3 sided porch and beautiful Cape shingled house is a summer vacation dream. The owner does a superb job keeping this home spotless and equipped for the most discriminating guest.

As professionals from NYC we found this home to be the best listing on the Cape. It fills up quickly, which is why we booked it for the next two years. It is also a real special hideaway. The less people know about this, the better. We marvel at the Peace and beauty of the property. Anything over and above, the Owner has made accommodations. She is a treat to deal with. Thank you for such a great summer vacation. When members of our family visited, they were delighted at how beautiful this home was and where it is situated. Privacy, Serenity and Stunning Sunsets. We look forward to making this our yearly Cape Cod Vacation Hideaway.

Our home away from home for many years!

My family of four have been staying here for 5 or 6 years, and it's the highlight of our summer. The house is so light and airy. If there is a breeze anywhere, you'll feel it, making the house comfortable even on hot humid days, although two bedrooms have window air conditioning if necessary. The home is meticulously maintained; I've never seen a hint of damp or mildew, which can be a problem in many houses on the Cape. The kitchen is quite well stocked and I'm able to cook with all the tools I'd want. It's such a nice perk that linens are provided, including very nice beach towels. Every year the owner has added a little something: this year was a lovely new set of furniture for the huge farmer's porch.

There's a restaurant on the corner (walking distance) for breakfast, coffee, pizza and amazing ice cream. Great Hollow beach is a short walk away.

We walk into this house every year and heave a sigh of relief to be "home," we can't wait for the next time we stay!
