    In love with this house and location!

    We rented this home for ourselves, our dog, and a couple of drop in visits by extended family members and had a great time! The location simply can't be beat - on a wonderful bay beach yet only a short drive to the National Seashore, midway between Wellfleet and PTown, walking distance to a great market with excellent morning coffee... I could go on.

    The house itself is simple but scrupulously clean and well furnished with everything you need and our host was very responsive to questions. The view from the deck is fabulous and sunsets on the beach are spectacular. Neighbors are quiet but friendly.

    Loved our time here

    I rented this home with my husband and 15 month old daughter for a week in July and we absolutely loved our experience. Being steps from a private beach is priceless and the home is located in a lovely enclave with friendly and welcoming neighbors. We were very comfortable in the house and it's fully equipped for cooking meals which we enjoyed al fresco on the patio. The outdoor patio is a great amenity as it wraps around the front of the house with ocean views, and is fully enclosed so we felt safe letting our daughter run around and enjoy being outside with the fresh ocean air.

    The homeowners are very accommodating and responsive. Would definitely recommend renting this home!     show more show less

    My family built this cottage in the 1960s and it has been used exclusively as a retreat for our family. 2021 is the first year we have rented. Our family has owned property in this neighborhood and enjoyed this beach since the 1930s.

    What is special about this property?
    The cottage is located in a quiet, family-friendly beach community with classic Cape Cod cottages. The beach is beautiful and safe for swimming. The large tides provide for diverse activities including beach walking, clamming, boating and fishing. The house is uniquely situated facing the west with gorgeous sunsets over the water that can be seen from the house and deck.

    What is special about your town?
    Truro is the most remote town on Cape Cod. Over 2/3 of the land is within the National Seashore with little or no development. The ocean side beaches are considered among the most beautiful in the country. The town has long history that dates to the Pilgrim's landing in 1620. The Highland Light is one of the oldest and most powerful lighthouses on the east coast and still operated and can be toured. North Truro center is within walking distance and retains the character of an old Cape village. Truro is located between Wellfleet and Provincetown with their bustling town centers.
