Description

Description

Experience subtle luxury, warmth and inviting charm. Four bedroom home with a spacious open floor plan set on one acre in the hills of North Truro. The upper floor has a wrap-around deck overlooking the beautiful abutting woodland with a patio table, lounge chairs, hammock and BBQ grill. Just off the porch, there is a screened in gazebo with a table and 8 chairs.

Inside an all pine and timber ceiling slants up to the center of the home. The upstairs features a full size slate pool table, dining area with seating for 10, 2 living room areas (one with a large flat screen tv and sound system), a fully equipped kitchen, 2 queen bedrooms and one full bath. There is also a queen sized pull out couch in one of the living areas.

Our lower level has all the makings of a ''separate apartment''. It consists of a kitchen with a washer and dryer and two private bedrooms. Each sleeping area has its own bathroom with a tub and shower in between for shared use. One of the sleeping quarters has a comfy pull-out queen sofa (and a thick topper as well) so that during the day that room can be used as a game room and sitting area for relaxing and television viewing.

The separate and private levels of this home make it ideal for large families. There are spiral stairs that connect the two floors and there are separate outside doors which work well for early and late risers. An added perk for children and teenagers is that they can enjoy the lower level for themselves. Well behaved dogs will be considered.

In the yard, there is a patio area with lounge chairs, bench, a propane fire pit and a chair hammock. We also have a private, large outdoor shower, bicycles and a ping pong table!

We are located at the end of a quiet dead-end street that is a 2 mile bike or drive to beautiful bay and ocean beaches. There are nearby hiking trails and a gorgeous golf course- the Highland Links is just 1.5 miles away. Provincetown and Wellfleet are both just a 12 minute drive.

The house features: Central A/C, a large outdoor shower, a BBQ grill, gas fire pit, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Full sized Pool Table, Foosball and Ping-Pong tables, 3 smart TVs with Netflix and Amazon Prime TV, DVD player and DVD's, bicycles, beach equipment, a large assortment of board games, books for all ages and more. Our WiFi is highspeed and provides about 270 Mpbs. We have a large, paved parking area that will easily accommodate four vehicles. There is a storage shed in the driveway for all of the bicycles, beach equipment and toys for guests to use.

Your enjoyment of this home is our priority.

Nearby Attractions: Longnook ocean beach, Cornhill and Great Hollow bay beaches, many National Seashore beaches, Great Pond in Truro, Payomet Performing Arts Center, movie theatres and stage performances in Provincetown and Wellfleet, dozens of restaurants, shops, galleries and museums, the Cape Cod Rail trail, Province Lands Bike Trail, Highlands Links Golf Club, the Wellfleet Drive-In (one of only 2 in Massachusetts) with a weekly flea market. Truro Vineyards, 2 miles from home, offers handcrafted reds, white wine and spirits. Atlantic Spice Company also 2 miles from our home offers an extensive selection of herbs, spices, coffee and teas and an eclectic mix of gourmet food items, dried fruits, nuts, and a unique collection of houseware and tabletop items, kitchen gadgets and cookbooks.

    Truro rental

We had a very pleasant, quiet time in this rental. There was plenty of space and nooks to read and relax. The house was very clean. The house was well stocked for cooking.
Our hosts were very attentive to our needs. We knew they were there to help us if we needed anything. The weather was outstanding and that helped to make the beach time great.

    Whispering Pines

We had a great 2 week stay at Whispering pines in Truro. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. Our extended family had plenty of space. It was convenient to both the bay and ocean beaches as well as Truro and Ptown.

    Pefect week in Truro

What can I say about our week at Whispering Pines except that it was PERFECT?! Clean, spacious, and comfortable. The air condition made it a nice oasis from the heat. Perfect fit for our family of 4, including 2 teens, as they each had their own bedroom. 3 bathrooms (and the outside shower!) also makes life away much easier when away. Perfectly appointed for the Cape, the house had everything you can ask for inside; cooking utensils and equipment (loved the induction stove), board games and foosball, to name a few, but for outside as well; beach chairs and cart, bikes, and umbrellas. You name it, it was thought of.
Just off Rt 6, which was hardly heard through the trees, and perfectly situated between Ptown (shopping and the Squealing Pig) and Wellfleet (Macs, Macs, Macs!), add in 5 minutes to the ocean or 5 minutes to the bay, and this house was really the perfect location for us.
Art and Esther were extremely easy to work with, and their house that they so graciously shared with us helped make for another PERFECT week in Truro. We can't wait to come back.

    Very pleasant stay in Truro

Whispering Pines is a very pleasant place to stay, particularly if you have a party of several generations or families. As the listing says, the downstairs has its own kitchenette and can be treated as a slightly separate living space. Doors downstairs can also be opened and shut in various configurations for privacy. If you're the kind of group that tends to focus on cooking, the main kitchen might be a bit of a drawback: It's a galley walled off from the rest of the space, and there's not a ton of counter space for prep or room to cook/socialize together. The location is super, the grounds are beautiful, and the beds are comfortable. Art and Esther are attentive, responsive hosts. show more show less

We really enjoyed our stay at Art and Esther's house in Truro. It was our first time to the cape and the location was perfect. It was very easy to go to the many ocean beaches and bay beaches. Provincetown was only a 15 min drive and the whale watching trip was amazing ! The house was well-equipped with everything we needed ..bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys for the little ones and even a corn hole set which provided hours of entertainment. The screened in porch was perfect for our evening meals. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation at the cape with beautiful beaches and plenty of restaurants.

    Truro's Hidden Gem

We loved the house! Fantastic outdoor spaces (no bugs this year was a bonus), close to Long Nook & Ballston (our favorite Truro beaches), interesting architecture & the welcome gift was a nice surprise. Best outdoor shower we've ever seen! We really enjoyed our week stay and would definitely recommend it to others!

I was born in upstate New York. My family took me to Cape Cod each summer since i was a kid and i have loved the Cape and been a regular visitor since then- for over 50 years. My sister and i decided to buy a home on the outer cape as this area has the greatest appeal with the National Seashore, gorgeous beaches and ponds, a conscious lack of development and a dearth of national chain stores or restaurants and a wealth of local shops and eateries. If you have never been to this area of the Cape, I encourage you to visit.

What is special about this property?
Our property is unique. We are surrounded by trees inside and out as the house ceiling has exposed timbers. It is peaceful and we have furnished it to be comfortable for us, our friends and, we hope for you, our guests. We are centrally located to both Wellfleet and Provincetown which each have terrific restaurants, shops and ocean adventure but we are far enough away from both so you have an oasis of quiet and woods.

What is special about your town?
Truro has a lighthouse, winery, a golf course and of course the national seashore. There are a few smaller eateries, convenience stores and a larger italian restaurant, Montano's if you want to stay close to home.
