Believed to be the oldest home on the outer Cape, Pamet House is nestled in the National Seashore on 2.5 private acres on secluded North Pamet Road, just a 10 minute walk to Ballston Beach and the ocean.

This prime location offers town road access to Truro center, Pamet Harbor, and all Bay side beaches without ever having to drive on busy Route 6. This wood shingled full-cape has been meticulously maintained by the same family for over 100 years and offers four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and an outdoor shower.

Each bedroom has one queen or double bed and two of the bedrooms include an additional twin allowing the house to sleep a maximum of ten. The eat in kitchen is open to the living room and an adjacent dining room that seats eight. There are working fireplaces throughout the ground floor and air conditioning throughout the house. There is also plenty of parking on site plus a two car garage with room to store bikes, beach chairs and the like.

Our private tennis court, shared with the family next door, is steps from the house built by hand many years ago of all natural clay. While we hope our house can help you escape, rest, and recharge, we do have internet throughout, two TVs and cable service to keep you up to date and in the groove.

Hikers, runners, and cyclists will also love the many dune trails and back roads immediately accessible on foot or bike from Pamet House.

    Idyllic Cape Code Experience

    We just wrapped up a fantastic week at this beautiful Truro home and could not have had a more enjoyable experience. Not only does it embody the charm and character of an antique Cape, it also includes all of the 21st century amenities that made for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation; a rare and perfect combination.
    The location of the property is just wonderful. We enjoyed being able to walk to Ballston Beach in minutes or to another more isolated beach with a walk through a nature trail. Truro (the town center) and other beaches are also easily accessible within minutes.
    A couple of other standout features - The house was incredibly clean and tidy! And the communication with the owner (in preparation for the trip and upon arrival) was timely and clear.

    An exceptional home, host, and location

    The Aiken home is a special place, filled with charm and soul. It's an historic home that has been modernized so that it's wonderfully pleasant and comfortable, as well as spacious and airy.

    The home itself is perfect for a mutli-generational vacation. There's a first floor with en-suite bathroom that was appropriate for an elderly person; upstairs there are three comfortable and large bedrooms and another bathroom.

    The house itself is sited on a little hill with lovely views looking to the beach, which is less than a mile away.

    The hosts are easy to communicate with and terribly responsive, as well as nice as can be. We look forward to returning.     show more show less

    The Purest Cape Cod Experience

    I recently stayed in the Aiken house with my extended family and it was one of my most memorable Cape Cod experiences in fife years of summering there. The house itself is a significant piece of Cape Cod history, arguably the oldest house in Truro. This might not be to everyone taste but the house has been functionally modernized and as of last summer it is even air-conditioned. It is within walking distance of a spectacular beach and new renters should know that a Town of Truro beach pass which is available to renters at a reasonable price is the most valuable document on the Cape. show more show less

    Andrew and his family have been both ''summer people'' and ''year rounders'' since the early 1900s. Though he himself is not quite that old, Andrew is familiar with the joys of Truro and all that is offered to beach goers, hikers, cyclists, golf and tennis lovers alike. He and his family are experienced property managers and good all-round service providers with the vacationers' enjoyment in mind always.
