Newly renovated in 2020, this home boasts 2 outdoor decks, a large private yard, screened porch, storage shed, bbq, hammock, fireplace, 55” state of the art tv, wifi, an oversized outdoor shower, new living room and kitchen, mudroom, washer/dryer and separate guest house.

The house is on a small dead end street that is quiet, peaceful and safe. It sits just off the Pamet River but does not have a water view. It's an easy walk over the hill to access the river, and the path to the harbor along the waters edge is delightful for walking or kayaking. All the best beaches are minutes away and you're centrally located near Truro Center. It’s just 8 minutes to Wellfleet and 13 minutes to Provincetown.

All in the open air, you’ll delight in the large main deck, complete with built ins, seating, a large umbrella for shade and hammock. A smaller back deck provides shade and a quiet retreat for coffee or dining. The screened in porch is a favorite for meals, game night or crafts. Hydrangea and perennial gardens border the outside along with patio planters of fresh herbs you can help yourself to at mealtime. The good sized yard is a great play area for the kids while you fire up the grill.

Post beach, head to the back of the cottage where you’ll find a sun-drenched, over-sized outdoor shower which connects to both the guest cottage and mudroom off the back deck. There's a washer and dryer to dump towels and wet bathing suits and an indoor shower through that entrance.

The new modern living room has plenty of comfortable seating, a cozy fireplace for cool or rainy weather and a state of the art tv for movie nights. Games and books are well stocked. The area is surrounded by windows for taking in the cape air or turn on the AC when the weather is oppressive. A brand new kitchen is brimming with everything you’ll need for meals at home including a blender, coffee maker, large ice machine and an extensive cookware selection. A new mudroom, large capacity washer/dryer and full bath are also part of the new addition.

Off the new addition is a pass through to the bedroom suite area complete with desk and sitting area, a half bath and bedrooms. This area is quiet and nicely removed from the main living area providing separate spaces to either gather or to “get away”

The bedrooms are all freshly painted, have great cross ventilation as well as fans. The separate guest or master bedroom has AC, a desk and built in storage. There are two large showers (one inside and one outside) and two toilets. There is no bathtub.

Our family spends a good part of the year here so it is fully stocked with everything you could need for a visit to the Cape. A quiet but friendly dead end street, you’ll be minutes to the national seashore, bay and ponds, and walking distance to the Pamet river, downtown Truro, and Truro farmers market.

    The Perfect Truro Cottage

    My family of 4 just spent a way too short week at this wonderful cottage. The setup was perfect for 2 teens as they each had their own bedroom. And my wife and I had a completely detached cottage to ourselves. Everything was clean, updated, and well appointed. My favorite was the outdoor shower, and of course the perfect proximity to the ocean and bay beaches, and Wellfleet and PTown. Nothing beats Truro on the Cape. And this is house is perfect for it.

    Fabulous house!!

    Inviting, Spotlessly clean, comfortable home with great screened in eating area and large deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay — even through torrential thunderstorms when we all curled up and comfortably watched a movie. Randi was great to work with. Highly recommend!!

    A Cottage Made For Our Family!

    This "little" Cape is deceptive. The open-plan for the livingroom-kitchen area creates a feeling of spaciousness and the decor is family friendly and elegant all at the same time. Beds are all comfy and the rooms just right for all of the family members. The grandgirls have declared
    this their favorite Truro home so far! We enjoyed the beaches and when it was time to come "home" we enjoyed the spaces created by our wonderful hostess, Randi, to watch the night sky, eat on the screened dining area and recreate that space into the art room for multiple projects with the kids. Thank you so much for the opportunity to have a joyous vacation in a cottage that feels like home. Next year we will come back to our favorite space. show more show less

    Beautiful Home & Amazing Location

    The cottage was beautiful - cozy yet modern. Very comfortably slept our group of five adults. Loved the hammock and the outdoor shower. The local beaches were some of the most beautiful I ever have seen and the cottage was within a 15 minute drive of Provincetown. Will absolutely be renting again in the future!

    This cottage is a mix of quintessential Old Cape Cod and all modern conveniences! It's quite a comfy place for family and located in one of our countries most pristinely preserved places. The convenience to beautiful bay beaches, ocean beaches, lobster rolls, shopping and nightlife in Provincetown, walking trails, estuaries for Kayaking are the things a great vacation are made of. This cottage is a dream!

    perfect vacation

    I have stayed at the cottage several years in a row and have always had the best experience. The cottage is stocked with everything you could possibly need or want for the perfect vacation. It is a very comfortable, clean and well cared for property. The cottage is so close to the most beautiful beaches in the country. The dunes are magnificent and the beaches go on and on. Another thing to note is that Truro sits between Wellfleet and Provincetown which makes it great for exploring those towns and beaches as well. I would go back in a heart beat! show more show less

    Perfect Getaway!

    The cottage provided a perfect setting for a girls weekend! Most of the space is newly renovated and is beautifully decorated, yet very comfortable. Plenty of comfortable beds for all. Randi, the homeowner, was very attentive and gracious host. I highly recommend this Truro gem.

    Hi and Welcome. My name is Randi and we've owned this cottage in Truro since 1989. My boys spent every summer of their lives at this home (now 25 and 32) and they have grown to love it too. I rented it years ago whenever I had summer plans or needed the income. This year I sold my business so thought I would rent for a few weeks again. We have put our hearts and souls (and quite a few bucks!) into this cottage, having renovated in 2020, so we're looking for very responsible people to enjoy it but also to take care of it as if it were their own. When asked what they like the most about the cottage, our guests usually say the outdoor shower and screened in porch. But there is a lot more to love now that we've worked on the place so your comments will be interesting. I welcome your questions and will be happy to make sure you have a wonderful stay.

    What is special about this property?
    In 2020, we did a major addition and we also renovated the original cottage. We wanted to preserve the Cape Cottage feel while adding space and amenities. There's parking for 4 cars and the front of the house boasts a wall of hydrangea. The main deck has plenty of seating and a hammock for relaxing and reading. We have breakfast and dinner on the screened porch. For stay at home evenings, there's a state of the art tv, WiFi, games and books. There are two mini splits in the new addition which have a dehumidifier and AC mode. The fireplace is nice on cool evenings. The bedrooms are in the original cottage and all have great cross ventilation as well as fans. The outdoor bedroom structure has AC. All the best beaches are minutes away and you're centrally located just 5 minutes to Wellfleet and 10 minutes to Provincetown for evening entertainment. My personalized ''Insider's Guide'' lists all the special places I've discovered through the years but that are not widely known.

    What is special about your town?
    Truro is 75% national seashore. It is wild, raw, protected, spectacular nature. Water on all sides and in the middle. Our favorite ocean beach is the town beach, Longnook - only known to town residents, with a humongous dune (beware if you're out of shape) and daily open volleyball game, with participants from 16 - 75. For children, the bay beaches, tide pools and ponds are equally fun and beautiful and also safer, if that's a concern. You can walk to the town store, for breakfast, sandwiches and essentials and the farmers market is within walking distance as well. Truro sits between Wellfleet - a charming seaside village known for it's art, shopping and restaurants - and Provincetown - a true one of a kind New England town known for it's open mindedness and unmatched culture. There's a concert venue in North Truro worth checking out but generally, Truro is known for quiet, beauty and nature.
