After a sun-soaked day at the beach (only 9 mins to either ocean or bayside beaches), detox in the sauna, refresh in the outdoor shower before lounging in the hammock, enveloped by the soothing sounds of rustling pines. In the evenings venture up to the rooftop deck for a magical night of stargazing. The trails of the National Seashore are just a 5-minute stroll away. Ballston Beach is an easy 20 minute amble down these same paths or a quick 9-minute drive away. Or for sunsets, Corn Hill on the bayside is also a short drive.

    New favorite cape house

    This place was beyond fantastic. Perfect for all of us, with extra room to spare - everyone had a big bed! Close to the main thruway, but still secluded enough where we felt alone in nature, especially with the two big rooftop platforms we stargazed on. The sauna was awesome and we used the pool as our cold plunge. Nico was very easy to work with and we'd love to come back next summer!

    Great Truro rental for summer family trip

    We've been visiting Truro/Ptown for years and this was the perfect house for our July 4th week family trip. We'll definitely be back.

    The dining table is nice and big with extra leaves and chairs, so we could all gather around. The kitchen was stocked with spices, plenty of pans, knives, plates, etc. The house was very cozy and inviting and with most of us partly working during the week, there were plenty of desk setups throughout the house to make remote work easy.

    Originally, the house was my grandmothers. She embodied this home warm and full of stories and some adventures too. I grew up running around the yard, exploring the woods, jumping in the pool, wandering down to the beach. We played a lot of cards at that dining room table.

    Now, I am working to preserve its calm beauty so that I can eventually pass it on to the next generation. This is our second season of my wife, Isabel, and I renting this house. We are always looking to improve our guest experience and love adding little touches to make this rabbit hill feel more like your home away from home :)

    What is special about this property?
    13 Rabbit Hill was built to love the forest around it. Warm wood inside and big glass windows, doors, and porches to sit with the pines. The heated pool is meant to look like a natural body of water, landscaped into the woods. The stone patio surrounding it warms up wonderfully in the sun and is a wonderful place to gather to BBQ in the evenings. The kitchen and living room area is open and full of light. It is an incredible place to have long dinners and nights of card games and charades.

    What is special about your town?
    Truro is, bar none, the best town on the Cape because it has, by far, the best beaches. There is no pretention but also no commercialization of the coast. On the bayside you can host great family bonfires toasting smores and telling tales of your day. From the house you can quietly wander the woods and beaches of the national sea shore, discovering new shells, stones, or the quiet tidal pools. All of this while finding yourself 15 mins from all the culture and adventure of Ptown and Wellfleet without facing the summer chaos.
