Our family has returned year after year to the Harris cottage. There is so much for the young ones to do, with games and toys abound, though our kids look forward to our recent tradition of filling the bird feeder just as much. They also like that they can walk to the bay beach, stroll along the semi-private road, take a short ride for ice cream, breakfast in town or to just sit on the deck and enjoy the bird sanctuary across the way.

The three bedrooms fill up nicely with the two kids in the bunk bed room and two others in the twin bed room. That leaves a roomy, more private space for adults that also has floor to ceiling glass patio doors opening to the spacious deck, perfect for that morning coffee or that evening glass of wine.

The Harris cottage is always clean, well-equipped and welcoming in every way. The owners are always just a phone call away and ready to address any and all needs.

Lastly, the location is terrific. Just a short drive to the ocean beachs, friendly Wellfleet village, shopping and other attractions. Better still, it's a short walk to a public but very private bay beach (even closer if you cut through neighbors' yards (we did!)!! For a place to be this accessible and this private, is unique.

Enjoy.... just don't steal our favorite weeks there (off season is as good as on-season at the Harris Cottage).

My wife, son and I have have enjoyed wonderful stays each of the past two summers at this delightful house . It provides a simple and comfortable space in which to cook, read and rest, as well a deck overlooking the woods and marsh. Located on a very, very quiet unpaved road, the house is just a few minutes drive from Wellfleet's town center, and just a few minutes walk to a lovely beach on Wellfleet harbor. The shelves are stocked with books, board games and DVD's, giving evidence of many happy days spent here by guests and family.

My family has been coming here for many years. We love it! The cottage is comfy and clean, the kitchen well equipped, and there's a second shower outside. The location is great too. It's on a bumpy road a short walk away from the bay, and a not too far a drive into town or the ocean beach. But, the best part is the deck that faces the marsh. You can sit there and it's like you have the whole forest/marsh/sky to yourself. So many different birds come to the feeder, hawks and herons fly overhead, bunnies and squirrels all around (and a fox the last time we were there!). It's a beautiful place. Plus Heidi is great!

Heidi's place was ideal for three people; great porch, and great, quiet location. Easy walk to a beautiful small beach and views of the marsh. Very short drive to the Fox Island Conservation land that provides access to the south side of the marsh and creek. Short drives to Mac's Seafood and Wellfleet harbor. We will certainly look to rent Heidi's cottage again.

We have rented Heidi's cottage several years now, and always come out feeling rested and peaceful. It is nestled in a nature conservation area, and birds love it there! The cottage was left very clean and welcoming as always. We hope to return next year again! Heidi is very responsive to e-mails and if necessary, phone calls, if there are any issues.

Heidi was a very friendly and helpful host. The house was clean, lovely and well located. The view is quite pretty. The house is located on a small quiet dirt road. The house was brighter and fresher than the photos show. The deck was a great place to have our meals. Very family friendly. We loved the easy access to the bay beach.

We loved staying in this cottage with its beautiful view of the marsh. The cottage is well-equipped and has lots of windows to let in cool breezes. It's in a very quiet location, so we had a very relaxing week. There's a nice beach a short walk away.

The host was extremely helpful when I arrived, and everything was prepared and set according to the listing. The pictures of the place, the location and everything matched my expectations as well as the description of the listing.

Heidi's cottage is really a great place. The deck overlooks a beautiful marshy cove and there is plenty of room to sit and eat outside. The rooms are ideal for a family with kids. Heidi was very accommodating. Great place.

We really enjoyed the house. We ended up being in Wellfleet during a heat wave, and we were very grateful for the central a/c. The house had everything we needed for a wonderful week away.

This cottage was great. It was clean, had a fully equipped kitchen, and shelves of games and books for everyone for those rainy days. My favorite part of staying here was waking up to a view of the marsh and trees. The spot is very very pretty and relaxing.

We enjoyed a lovely week in this house. We had intended to travel up and down the Cape, but we found ourselves sitting on the porch enjoying the view of the marsh and activity of the birds and chipmunks..
