* * Welcome Packet * *
Guests who book directly with us receive a ''Welcome Packet'' about 2 weeks before their vacation week(s). This includes counter-signed copy of your short term lease -- has our phone numbers, directions to the house, key, ''proof of stay'' form for beach pass, & info about the house and the area. The key to the house has a Priority Mail (we've paid the postage) envelope to return the key.
** NO PETS **
No matter how well trained a dog is, fleas hide in the tall grasses of Cape Cod. A flea infestation would be a disaster for us and our other tenants. Animal dander could cause a health crisis for guests with allergies. An ''oops'' on a rug or upholstered furniture would be impossible for our housekeeper to remedy before the next tenant arrives. Unlike a hotel, we do not have ''spare'' furniture and rugs stored away for emergencies.
Therefore, ** NO PETS **.
We accept L - O - N - G weekend rentals (3-night minimum) in the fall.
* * Changeover Cleanings * *
Our housekeeper (Olga) is meticulous. Her attention to detail -- including a new table cloth for every new tenant -- guarantees that our tenants will not be disappointed with the condition of the house when they arrive for their vacation.
Given the ongoing COVID19 challenge, Olga gives our house extra ''TLC'' by sanitizing important surfaces (door knobs, switches, handles, etc). She also changes many essential items during each changeover cleaning (mattress pads, pillow protectors, shower curtain, & more). There will be an initialed & dated checklist on kitchen counter for you to see what has been sanitized.
* * Handy man * *
Chris is our handy man extraordinaire. He responds the same day -- often within hours. Knowledgeable, friendly, courteous -- we know we can depend on him when our tenants need something fixed ''now''.
* * Child Safety * *
When our daughter was a toddler, we made sure that the house was safe for her. The deck features latched gates that little fingers cannot open. There are ''Safety First'' child safety cabinet locks for the sink cabinets, plug socket covers, & a door knob cover for the basement door.
* * Linens * *
We do * not * provide linens. However, if you do not want to pack sheets and towels, we provide the contact information for an outstanding, local linen service. They drop off and pick up. (Very popular with our European tenants!)
