Open floor plan features cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams in Great Room which includes living / dining / kitchen areas.

1st floor features 2 bedrooms (1 with double bed, 1 with 2 twin beds) and full bath with tub.

Master BR occupies 2nd floor and has private bath (shower) & features sliding door to outdoor balcony overlooking vast tree views.

Other house features include brick fireplace with raised hearth and spacious deck (with gas grill) which is surrounded by acres of pine trees. (Yard is very private).

Dining table seats 8. Kitchen is fully equipped.

In addition to the 2 indoor baths, there is an enclosed outdoor shower (with hot water).

Basement is spacious and dry -- great ''rainy day'' space. Washer & dryer are in basement as well as beach chairs / toys.

Hi-speed WIRELESS Internet (Wi-Fi Internet access).
32'' flat screen TV with Blu-Ray / DVD player.

* * Welcome Packet * *
Guests who book directly with us receive a ''Welcome Packet'' about 2 weeks before their vacation week(s). This includes counter-signed copy of your short term lease -- has our phone numbers, directions to the house, key, ''proof of stay'' form for beach pass, and info about the house and the area. The key to the house has a Priority Mail (we've paid the postage) envelope to return the key.

** NO Pets **

We do accept L - O - N - G weekend rentals (3-night minimum) in the fall.

* * Changeover Cleanings * *
Our housekeeper (Olga) is meticulous. Her attention to detail -- including a new table cloth for every new tenant -- guarantees that our tenants will not be disappointed with the condition of the house when they arrive for their vacation.

Given this year's COVID19 challenge, Olga will be giving our house extra ''TLC'' by sanitizing important surfaces (door knobs, switches, handles, and more). She will also be changing many essential items during each changeover cleaning (mattress pads, pillow protectors, shower curtain, and more items). There will be an initialed and dated checklist on kitchen counter for you to see what has been sanitized.

* * Handy man * *
Chris is our handy man extraordinaire. He responds the same day -- often within hours. Knowledgeable, friendly, courteous -- we know we can depend on him when our tenants need something fixed ''now''.

* * Child Safety * *
When our daughter was a toddler, we made sure that this house was safe for her. The deck features latched gates that little fingers cannot open. There are ''Safety First'' child safety cabinet locks for the sink cabinets, plug socket covers, and a door knob cover for the basement door.

* * Linens * *
We do * not * provide linens. However, if you do not want to pack sheets and towels, we provide the contact information for an outstanding, local linen service. They drop off and pick up. (Very popular with our European tenants!)

Best of Wellfleet --

** Out of respect and consideration for others, please be mindful of social distancing requirements, wearing masks and gloves where posted. **

Beaches! 4 ocean beaches (Newcomb Hollow, Cahoon Hollow, White Crest, Maguireā€™s Landing), 3 bay beaches (Indian Neck, Mayo Beach --no parking pass required, Duck Harbor), 3 fresh water ''kettle ponds'' (Gull Pond, Long Pond, Great Pond) -- AND -- the Marconi National Seashore ocean beach (per day fee)

Walking trails: Cedar Swamp Trail (Marconi Site) and Great Island (self-guided trails)

** Availability of some town attractions will depend upon MA governor's guidance during Phase 2 and Phase 3 opening requirements. **

Art Galleries (around town) are wonderfully diverse. There are wine and cheese openings at most galleries on Saturday evenings during the summer.

Wellfleet Drive-in and Cinemas -- one of the country's last drive-in movie theaters, also has 6 air conditioned, in-door movie theaters (matinees on rainy days!), and one of the area's best flea markets -- Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays.

Restaurants (many!) -- The Wicked Oyster (Excellent Sunday brunch), Moby Dick's (great place to take children), The Boathouse (cooked take-out lobster), Box Lunch (home of the ''Rollwich'' & ''Kidwich'' -- amazing wraps)... to name just a few...

In Town Shopping -- Wellfleet Marketplace (more than ''just groceries'', open 7 AM to 8 PM -- 7 days a week), Hatch's Fish & Produce Market (town hall parking lot), Mac's Seafood (on the town pier), ... and so much more ...

The Wellfleet Public Library (Services include internet and wireless access, photocopier, fax, and a schedule of programs for children and adults). Visitors are welcome to set up a library card.

''Hidden Treasure'' -- library card holders can check out visitor passes -- which give deep discounts -- to many Cape Cod area attractions.

When our daughter was in elementary school, we visited the Mayflower II (full size replica of the original ship) and Plimouth Plantation, a recreation of the 1627 Pilgrim Village, with authentically dressed interpreters who stay ''in character'' while they talk to you. (Excellent!)

The admissions fees with the library pass are -- very -- budget friendly.

Area Attractions:

Provincetown offers whale watching boats, Pilgrim Monument, Portuguese bakery (''fried dough'' / bread pudding / meat pies), shops of all kinds, restaurants and entertainment. And for authentic ''Cape Cod'' tees, sweatshirts, mugs, etc -- visit Cuffy's. There are several salt water taffy stores as well -- pick your own selection bags or boxes.

The Province Lands Visitor Center (Race Point) has an observation deck which provides a 360-degree view of the Province Lands dunes, the Outer Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. There are numerous biking trails and beaches.

Truro Winery (tastings, local wines and gift items) - treat yourself to local wines or Truro Winery will ship your gifts to your friends.

Salt Pond Visitor Center (Eastham) is Cape Cod National Seashore's main visitor facility, with a theater, bookstore, museum, and restrooms (self-guided trails, Park Service guided tours).

Great location and privacy

The house has a very appealing design and it is very well located at walking distance from Wellfleet center --which is exactly what we are looking for. We enjoyed the view to the backyard from the balcony and the deck. Mosquitoes at this time of the year prevented prolonged evening enjoyment of either, though.
The only (though serious) drawback I encountered was that my unusual back and hip pain (was it caused by carrying a heavy suitcase upstairs?) was not soothed by the firmness of the coil mattress. I tried the one in the downstairs bedroom in case changing rooms would be warranted, but the feeling was the same. show more show less

Dear Ben and Renata, We are so glad that our house met your vacation needs. My husband and I will be inquiring with the neighbors regarding this year's mosquito issue. I will update you when we learn what the neighbors on our street are doing about this issue. We hope that you will return to Wellfleet again! Wishing you a lovely fall and a happy holiday season! Great Location; Comfortable House

My wife and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. We've been renting on the Cape for over 20 years; this house met our needs better than any other. The location is convenient to the town - it's a 10-15 minute walk away - but it's also very quiet. It's also well situated - you don't feel like the neighbors are on top of you. We rarely heard them. The deck in the photo looks out onto the top of a wooded area and you can barely see other houses through the trees.

Note the balcony off the master bedroom - a perfect place to watch the sunset and sip margaritas where mosquitos rarely venture. (They do come out in the evenings.) The open plan kitchen, LR, and DR made socializing very pleasant. The house gets very nice light and decent air circulation - not always the case in many homes on the Cape.

The private, upstairs MBR with en-suite bath and private terrace was a real treat - but your guests will also be entirely comfortable in the two BRs on the first level.

Wellfleet itself is a great town - big enough for a serviceable market, some good restaurants, galleries, shops, excellent fresh seafood (Mac's, Hatch's), but not so big that you're overwhelmed by traffic and crowds.

Sunset strolls on the pier and bay beaches (Duck Harbor) are heavenly. We're avid cyclists and rode everywhere. The direct access to the basement was perfect for nightly bike storage. The clean, open basement space was a great place to pump up the tires and make adjustments. We loaded the panniers inside each morning and headed out to the beaches or longer rides to Provincetown or Brewster. The house is exactly 5 miles to the end of the CCRT in South Wellfleet if you take Long Pond Road to Ocean View Drive. That ride alone is one of the most beautiful on the Cape. The ride to Provincetown along the bay is also outstanding. At the end of the long rides, it was always painful and yet fun to get up the super steep hill to the house.

Nancy is a wonderful owner, very pleasant and communicative. We can't wait to return.

Wellfleet Rental

What a lovely week we spent here at Nancy's house! The home was immaculate, comfortable and made for a perfect week away from home. Well-appointed and cozy in any weather!

The location is ideal for enjoying Wellfleet and plenty of literature and information provided at the rental made this a hassle-free adventure!

My favorite rental by far!

Lovely Week Away

We had a wonderful week in this cozy, comfortable, and CLEAN home. Location was perfect for walking to town, biking to harbor, and going on morning runs. House was very clean- a COVID check list was provided for us so we knew everything had been sanitized. Kitchen well stocked and house was very well organized. We enjoyed using the ping pong table in the basement and enjoyed all our meals on the deck. Deck off master bedroom a great bonus for morning coffee! Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, perfect for relaxing. Nancy was very responsive in all communications and accommodating. It was a pleasure to deal with her. I would highly recommend this house for a relaxing getaway. Wellfleet is a true gem! show more show less

Relaxing getaway!

With such a challenging summer to try to vacation, we found this lovely spot to get away and enjoy the Cape. The spot was great, a short ride to all the Wellfleet beaches and the National Seashore. We ate great food (take out of course!) at local fish markets, and sat out on the deck for breakfast and dinner (spending every day at the beach). The master bedroom has it's own deck where I had my coffee, read my book and watched the hummingbirds in the morning while my teenagers slept. It was lovely.

We had one issue with the kitchen faucet, but Nancy took care of it in 24 hours. She is meticulously organized and took care of all the details. We were given our own, new, wrapped paper products, wipes and hand sanitizer. We felt safe and in a nice clean environment.

It is exactly as pictured, and Nancy was great to work with. I will definitely be back!

House is extremely clean and well kept and in a very good close location to beach access and main town of Truro and Ptown, etc. We loved our stay. It was very relaxing.

Well Placed in Wellfleet

Sitting on a quiet dead-end that"s a short walk to the center of town, the house is clean, spacious and very inviting. There"s easily plenty of room for all 6 guests to cook, lounge in front of the fireplace, or enjoy a quiet early morning coffee on the deck without feeling crowded.
And while having a full washer and dryer set up is fantastic, and not having to worry about trash and recycling pick up is convenient, the absolute best amenity by far is the star filled night sky. Without all the streetlights, there"s no light pollution, and the evening sky is breathtaking. show more show less

Lovely Week over Labor Day

My husband and I spent a lovely week over Labor Day weekend at this very cozy house in Wellfleet, located with easy access to the beach and the town with its many excellent restaurants. Whether you enjoy eating the freshest, succulent lobsters in the comfort of your home or eating out at local restaurants, Wellfleet offers both. If you like spending time in the sun and surf at the beach or swimming in the chilly, more tranquil freshwater of local ponds surrounded by shading trees, both are available. You can return to the house for a relaxing drink on the back deck or settle in for a dinner. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing your own meals. So glad you two enjoyed the house and Wellfleet during Labor Day week. September is one of our favorite times of the year to be in Wellfleet. We hope you'll come again!

Lovely home

We rented this property for 2 weeks in August. The home is clean and comfortable, in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. The location is great for walks into the center of Wellfleet, with quick access to bay beaches and ponds. Nancy was. very attentive to certain repairs for the house. My husband had some health issues and we had to leave early. Nancy was incredibly kind, following up on his progress when we got home. I will certainly want to rent here again.

A wonderful stay!

I was looking for a Wellfleet house that was elderly-mom friendly, winterized, and a perfect base for the hunt for those elusive Eastham turnips. Nancy's house fit the bill and her customer service, attention to detail, plus Olga's above-board cleaning skills made everything easy! In almost 20 years of coming to Wellfleet, Nancy's was the cleanest and best organized house I've ever stayed in. There were clear instructions on how to operate all the appliances, and we found the turnips too! Highly recommend. show more show less

Donna, we're so glad that your mother was able to enjoy her birthday at our home. So sorry that the Nor'easter of October 27th made a leisurely departure not possible. We're glad that you were able to get on your way before the high winds and heaviest rains hit the Cape. Thank you for your TLC while you were in our home. We do hope you'll come again in the spring and / or next fall. Best regards, Nancy

My husband & I fell in love with Cape Cod when we were in college. When we were first married, we rented a cottage on Old Wharf Rd & began dreaming about ''some day'' having a home of our own in this beautiful town.

The dream became a reality when we built our house on Daniels Drive. We love Wellfleet & enjoy sharing this ''jewel'' with others. Small wonder that our Wellfleet house is more ''home'' to our daughter than our year-round home. She's been coming to the Cape (Wellfleet) since she was 2 months old. As a family, we never tire of beach walks - even in winter. And, then there are the father-daughter kayaking adventures in the kettle ponds and around edge of Great Island. Did I mention flea markets? The drive-in movie? Miniature golf? And all the ''free'' stuff at the National Sea Shore Visitors' Center?

We've also made some long time Wellfleet friends - Judy, Kathy and more. When we see them, it's like ''coming home''.

We have truly enjoyed sharing the ''treasure'' that is Wellfleet with guests from all over the USA & Europe (Germany, Great Britain, and the Netherlands). It's a delight to be able to share our favorite beaches & restaurants & shops with folks coming to the Cape for the first time or folks returning to the area.

This house is not ''just'' a rental property, it's our Cape Cod * home *. You'll find personal touches throughout the house - photos of Wellfleet, a ''building the house'' photo collage, & labels on light switches (no ''what does this do?'').

What is special about this property?
The street is quiet and private -- absolutely no through traffic on a cul-de-sac! The open floor plan of the Great Room means that whoever is cooking can be part of the game going on at the table or the conversation in the living room area.

We provide our guests with a ''Welcome Packet'' that contains info about the house, the area, places to eat and grocery shop, etc. And, if ''it'' wasn't in the packet, it's in the ''brochures basket'' which is filled with pamphlets & flyers from restaurants, nature trails, boat cruises, whale watches & the ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. And, this collection of brochures ''grows'' as the season progresses as guests add their ''favorites'' to the ''library'' of what the area has to offer.

We're close to anything you might want to see or do -- shows (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater or drive to Provincetown for cabaret show), biking, fishing, self-guided nature walks, etc. And, at the end of the day, after a (hot) shower in the enclosed outdoor shower, you can relax on the deck. It's so quiet -- just you and maybe a few birds.

What is special about your town?
Wellfleet is ''The Gallery Town''. Time Inc's Coastal Living, the leading authority on coastal home and travel, named Wellfleet, MA to its fourth annual top ten list of America's Happiest Seaside Towns. (Posted on: Feb 27, 2015)

Located 75 miles out into the Atlantic Ocean, Wellfleet offers quaint rural seaside charm and spectacular natural resources. The Atlantic Ocean is on Wellfleet's east shore. Cape Cod Bay is on the west shore. 61% of Wellfleet's land is in the Cape Cod National Seashore Park. And without the glare of man-made ''city lights'', the stars at night will take your breath away!

Bay and ocean beaches, fresh water ponds, (13 town beaches in all plus Marconi National Seashore beach!) Bike Trails including the Cape Cod Rail Trail, Art Galleries, Restaurants, Antique Dealers, Cape Cod's biggest and best Flea Market (!) at the Wellfleet Drive-In and Multi-Screen Movie Theater (has 3D). The playground area includes 1st class tennis courts, a basketball court, play structures that engage a child's imagination, and a Skate Board Park. The Town Pier has a Marina, Boat Launching Ramp and numerous boat slips. Also available: Wind Surfing, Kayaking, and Deep Sea Fishing Charters.

Gull Pond is a kayaker's dream.

And, in the fall --
The crowds are gone.
The sun is warm.
Beach walks are SO peaceful.
Go whale watching, bird watching (Atlantic Flyway - Wellfleet Bay - MA Audubon Society), antiquing -- pick your passion.
