We had a great time at the Map House. The weather cooperated mostly and even when it rained there were plenty of indoor spaces to hang out. Wonderful location!

Located in South Wellfleet close to ponds, ocean beaches and bay beaches satisfies everyone's swimming preference. The house is a good size and excellently maintained. The owner has thought of everything. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need from appliances to supplies. It includes items to entertain such as streaming services, hot tub, fire pit, and another building with large screen tv, ping pong, and pool table. The owner was very informative and helpful and takes pride in making sure the renter has everything they need. I have rented in the area for 40 years and never had a house this good or an owner that cared this much about the renter having a good experience. We have signed up for next year.

The house is great - many creature comforts.
There was enough room to spread out for a family of 5 with three teenagers.

We loved our stay at the Map House in Wellfleet! The owners seemed to have thought of everything that would make us feel right at home, including an amazingly well stocked kitchen, very clear instructions for everything, a regularly serviced and checked hot tub, tons of beach stuff, SO much extra toilet paper, etc. And they were also very responsive and friendly with questions that came up. Plus, the location is very convenient — just 2 minutes from the town of Wellfleet and close to the bike trail. Not to mention a lovely walk to Duck Pond with an alpaca farm on the way. Highly recommend!!

We came back for a second year because our first trip was so lovely and we were equally happy with our second stay at The Map House. Host is wonderful and responsive and makes the stay very easy. Wellfleet is beautiful as is the home.

The Map House in Wellfleet is a wonderful, comfortable, clean and well-equipped house for a stay of any length! We enjoyed our two-weeks in the house with visits from family and friends. The kitchen has everything you need to cook; the living and dining rooms are spacious; and there are extra bonuses like the hot tub and game room for additional entertainment. Matt was available to answer any and all questions. This is a place I hope to stay again!

I have been coming to Wellfleet for years and continue to come back to the Map House with my family and friends. Matt and Marie are amazing hosts, and each year there seems to be new upgrades to the house. Our crew loves walking to Oliver's tennis courts and Duck Pond and playing 8-ball after dark. This was our first time coming to Wellfleet after labor day. The lack of traffic and crowds was great. However, you need to plan your ice cream jaunts before 8pm (and check hours of all of your favorite restaurants). Be sure to read their guide to using the house and the area - lots of great info and also very entertaining.

We had an awesome stay at the Map House! The house is so well equipped! Everything you need is there. It is obvious that the owners put in a lot of time and energy making their house comfortable and appealing to renters. The game room was a big hit with my kids! They loved playing pool and ping pong. The owners are very easy to communicate with, and they are very helpful! We would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing stay at the Map House this summer! Communication with Matt was great. He is very responsive and provides a lot of helpful and informative information in the house manual. The property is fantastic! The house was very clean and had everything we could need. We loved playing games in the backyard and game room. The beds were also very comfortable!

The house is super close to a lot of bay and ocean beaches as well as ponds. There are a lot of good restaurants and things to do close by (mini golf, ice cream, drive in movie theater to name a few). It's also an easy drive to Ptown.

You can tell the owners really care about making sure you have a comfortable and amazing stay at the Map House. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Wellfleet!

The Map House is our favorite discovery of the year. We were looking for the perfect retreat and escape from NYC in 2022 and this was it. Map House was exactly as advertised and even exceeded our expectations.

The entire property was exceptional—both inside and outside. The house was VERY clean, nicely decorated and well stocked with everything we needed. The space can easily accommodate families and friends and is bright, open and spacious.

Wi-Fi connections were strong throughout the property and large screen televisions were programmed with many streaming options. The outdoor areas were a favorite—Weber Grill, fire pit, hot tub and outdoor shower (AMAZING). We loved spending time in the dedicated game room (separate from the house) with a pool table, ping-pong and a large TV.

Our hosts provided a very helpful and well-designed handbook that included detailed information about the house as well as recommendations for many activities and restaurants in the area.

We will DEFINITELY be returning to spend more time at this rare treasure. In fact, after only a few days we contacted Matt to reserve for 2023. The Map House deserves the highest possible rating in every way.

This is our second year in a row that we have vacationed at The Map House. We love the home and all it has to offer. It is convenient to many restaurants, beaches and ponds! The owners are wonderful and easy to deal with. We have already secured our week for next year. Thank you for a great stay!

This clean, well-equipped house made it easy to enjoy our week at the Cape. The owners have provided everything necessary to relax and unwind, including comfortable beds, central a/c, and even a hot tub. The location was perfect, close to both bay and oceanside beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Map House and our dogs had a blast, too! Highly recommend!

What a wonderful week in The Map House. The house was wonderful with incredible amenities and our kids loved the swing in the back and the ping pong table. The owners were incredible at communication and care for this home and it shows 10 out of 5 stars and will come back our next trip to the Cape!

Had a great time during our week in Wellfleet at the Map House. Matt was incredibly responsive via email & texts, from my initial inquiry through the morning we headed home. There's a ton of thought that went into making the house comfortable: keyless front door lock (I used my iPhone to lock/unlock it the entire time); several sets of spare keys ready to go on the fridge; little things like Splenda, Ziploc bags, and spare Brita filters; a cord of wood ready to be used for the firepit; Amazon Alexa device made it easy for my son to play music by voice request; the great set of instructions & info left in a binder on the front door console. Also, the hot tub was amazing -- we'll miss doing that each day (and twice on more than a few days).

Location was excellent: 20min easy drive north to Provincetown; 15min drive south to some great restaurants in Eastham; 2min drive to top-tier cappuccino at PB Boulangerie & the Cape Cod Rail Trail, where our family went biked & stopped for ice cream along the way. Watched the sun set over Indian Neck Beach, which was an easy drive 4-5min across Rt. 6.

We had an unequivocally great time & will definitely keep the Map House in mind when we plan our next vacation.

We very much enjoyed staying at the Map House and would recommend it! It's a convenient location to the town, beaches and ponds. The house and property were very clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, the interior has a nice layout and decor, and there's a lot to keep you entertained. The exterior is just as nice with two seating areas, a hammock, small swing, hot tub, outdoor shower, grill, etc. The game room was a bonus which everyone enjoyed. I've stayed in many places on the cape, and if you're looking in the Wellfleet area then this is the perfect choice. Everything was in great shape and you can be as relaxed or as busy as you like here — great place. The owners are also very nice and responsive.

When you rent from Wellfleet lifers, they provide not only everything you could need but everything you could want: immaculate house, well-equipped kitchen, functioning screens, ceiling fan, and AC, comfortable and modern conveniences such as smart tvs, Alexa, wonderful outdoor shower, fire pit, outdoor seating, hot tub (yes, really), crystal clear and comprehensive instructions, and, best of all, attentive responsiveness. Excellent location, ample parking, and dog-friendly!

Loved our stay and plan to return as soon as possible.

We had a wonderful time spending a week at this lovely home in early June! The house contained everything we needed including a well stocked kitchen which was such a pleasure!

We enjoyed the game room and hot tub immensely! The home is very convenient to restaurants and take out, as well as, the beautiful beaches, ponds and bay! The pond and bay water was warm enough to swim. An absolute beautiful time of year to visit.

Our hosts couldn't have been easier to communicate with and answered all of our questions in a very timely manner which was much appreciated! Thank you to our hosts! We will be back again next year for sure!

Although the house is quite close to Rte 6, the location is very convenient, the property is pretty and peaceful, with a spacious back yard, and we really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The house was not only clean and well organized but very well equipped. We had a great time.

My wife and I stayed at Map House for 6 months with our dog over the winter of 2020/2021. On arrival the house was immaculately clean and very well-furnished. If anything the pictures did not portray the size of the house - it is much larger than we expected. Matt has kitted out the house with great WIFI for working remotely, every streaming service you could need and plenty of home comforts for anyone looking to take it easy.

The back yard and deck are very spacious and the Games Room feels brand new and is very well cared for.

One thing anyone considering a winter rental here should know is that Wellfleet is a very different place in the winter, it is VERY quiet. There are enough shops and restaurants open to stop you feeling isolated but it is definitely ideal for someone looking for a quiet hideaway over the winter months.

Matt has been terrific throughout our stay, always very polite and quick to respond. If we ever find ourselves looking for a place to stay on Cape Cod in the future, we will absolutely be coming back to Map House! Five Stars!

This was the week that we all needed after the year 2020 has turned in to. We have been planing this trip for a year and was exactly what we hoped for and so much more. Matt is an amazing host and very attentive, answering all my annoying texts. The house is fantastic and a perfect set up. Pictures really do not do it justice. Our group had so much fun; BBQ, hot tub, making s'mores and going to the beach. Our 4 legged friend also enjoyed running around the backyard. We will definitely be back next summer!

We had an amazing stay at the MapHouse for a week in July! The house has all the accommodations and more than what we needed during our stay. We traveled with two babies under 2 and a small dog, there was plenty of room for all of us! With so many concerns with Covid, it was awesome to be able to use the grill to make meals and also enjoy our takeout on the deck. The outdoor shower really is as amazing as the reviews say; we used it daily to hose off ourselves and our infant! The game room was also awesome for some parents hangout time once the kiddos were asleep. Matt was also always a text/phone call away with recommendations and any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here and looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Clean modernized house with well appointed kitchen. Great location close to ponds and ocean, and between key areas, down to Orleans up to Provincetown. Bike to best freshwater ponds and ocean, or long ride all the way up to Race Point. Separate teen / adult hang out space perfect for families. Grassy back yard, wild flowers, and hot tub were enjoyed by all.

Had a wonderful time at Matt and Marie's Wellfleet home this summer during the week of the 4th. Location is great, it's near several beaches and many restaurants. Property is well secluded from neighbors and enjoyed making several fires in the fire pit and, of course, using the hot tub. Home was extremely well kept up and clean. Large kitchen was extremely useful and has all the appliances/amenities you will ever need. Bedrooms are spacious and are well cooled in the summer heat with the A/C units.

Communication with Matt was frequent and extremely helpful. Overall, best vacation rental I've experienced and highly recommended! Hope to rent again in the future.

What a great Cape getaway!! Family friendly. Plenty of room for extended family even. We'll be back for sure! Spending many summers on the Cape, I knew the area a bit better than most of my family but they were up for the adventure. We had great fun exploring the area and finding new things I'd never seen. We had a great guide with all the info from Matt and Marie. The house is a fantastic jumping off point for anything mid-Cape or Outer Cape. You can be in PTown in a short drive or the beautiful beaches of Truro or Wellfleet—anywhere in the National Seashore surrounds you.

There are so many great beaches in Wellfleet you almost need to go no further. If you're not an ocean person, no fear—at least one fresh water pond is right down the road. My son is into fishing and put his rod in the water within a day or so of arrival. The house is on the edge of a neighborhood that would be good for kids to ride bikes.

My favorite part of the house may have been relaxing in the breeze in the hammock—it doesn't take long before the nap takes over, especially after a day in the nice warm sunshine at the beach. Great local seafood at too many restaurants for us to try in only a week and a well-stocked kitchen to make your own at home. The game room was a great hangout for the kids and the hot tub and deck perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Everything you need for a much deserved vacation—and we needed a vacation!! My husband and I stayed at the Map House for four months this winter while searching for a home to buy and acclimating to living full time on Cape Cod. The house proved to be a great choice—very comfortable, spacious and full of light. Both the kitchen and dining room are equally well-equipped for entertaining or spending quiet hours working at the expansive dining table. The two large, quiet bedrooms upstairs have excellent mattresses. We did not spend much time in the Game Room but it's (literally) a huge added plus if you have a group on hand for ping pong or pool.

Wellfleet's stunning beaches and trails, and charming, historic Village are just a few minutes drive away. From the house, you can walk to Indian Neck.

Matt and Marie are excellent hosts and showed that they really care about the quality of their guests experience. Whenever we had a question or needed anything, Matt was quick to respond.

This was our 14th summer rental on the Cape and by far our favorite house. The house is even nicer than the photos on the website; open and airy, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. We love to cook and really appreciated that the kitchen was superbly appointed with high quality appliances, cookware, and utensils. The hot tub was a great amenity and we enjoyed using it in the evenings with a cocktail! Matt was an excellent and responsive host, he leaves out no detail as far as how things work in the house, recommendations for activities and restaurants, and he makes sure the house is well stocked with paper goods and cleaning supplies, a nice touch. The game room is beautiful and is a great added perk. All in all, we loved staying here and really felt comfortable and at home. We would love to come back!

The Map House (each room has an interesting map) is a newly built property with great amenities, which include a Ping Pong /pool table in a separate game barn, a fire pit, jacuzzi, chef's kitchen, propane grill, rope swing and lovely furnishings. It's quiet and centrally located to the ocean/bay beaches and town of Wellfleet.

The owner was hospitable and helpfully answered all of our questions.The house was warm and spacious, yet cozy. We plan on returning to the Map House, for many years to come.

We had a wonderful stay at the Map House! The house is clean, well-appointed and very comfy. We felt very much at home with the updated decor and technology! Having speedy internet was key for handling lots of devices, and Alexa was great for impromptu toddler dance parties. The outdoor space is awesome for entertaining and the rec room is a really fun addition. Great location right off of Rte. 6, but tucked back a bit so you don't really hear the traffic. Quick and easy rides to ponds and both ocean and bay-side beaches. Matt is super-friendly, accommodating and he provided the most helpful welcome guide. Double thumbs-up for this place!

We had an awesome stay at the Map House. Everything to make our crew of nine happy was there: a clean and comfortable house with a fully equiped kitchen, an updated decor, A/C, very comfy beds, a super rec room to entertain young and old, a BBQ, an outdoor shower, a spa. It was also a great location, 5-10 minutes from the beaches. Everything was very well detailed in the Welcome Guide Matt and Marie prepared.

If you think of something you would want in a beach house, the Map House has it and its fully functional and practically new!

We have been coming to Wellfleet literally for decades and have always rented different houses because something was not quite perfect with our rental. This house not only has all of the amenities that you could need (chef's kitchen, great wifi and cable and a hot tub), but also a great rec room with a pool table and ping pong table. The house was great for our teenage boys and puppy. The proximity to town, Duck Pond and Oliver's Tennis made this ideal for us.

Matt and Marie have a very comprehensive (and at times entertaining) guide to the Map House which is very tastefully decorated and incredibly clean. None of the must and mildew that I have experienced with way too many Wellfleet rentals. We will be reserving for next year shortly!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Map House! It was perfect for our crew of 20-and-30-somethings. It had everything and more! Game room was awesome! Hot tub was wonderful! The house was well stocked and Matt was a perfect host. He was very communicative and gave great directions for everything you’d need in the house. It was extremely updated with not only decor and furniture, but also with technology such as amazon echos and smart TVs. Tempurpedic mattresses and air conditioners in every room made for the perfect night’s sleep after a long day at the beach which was so conveniently located to the house. Already ready for next year! We cannot recommend this house highly enough. The location is great - no more than ten minutes from everything we could want. I have been coming to Wellfleet since I was a child and this is the nicest place we've rented. The house itself is beautiful - the beds are so comfortable. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed and more. The extra space in the game room was really nice for our teenagers. The house made it really easy for us to relax and enjoy time on the Cape. Owners were helpful and responsive. And reasonably priced to boot.

This house was above and beyond what we were expecting. The weather was not the best for the week, so having the game room made for fun days and nights. We enjoyed the fire pit as well, on nights that weren't raining. Our dog Maddie had a relaxing week in her favorite place, Wellfleet. We ended our week @ Cahoon Hollow. Went for lunch and dinner a few times @ The Pearl. Stopped into Russ and Marie's for the BEST bbq food!
