Far from the maddening crowd! Classic four bedroom house on the highly desirable Chequessett Bluff Road. Enjoy beamed ceilings, a large family room with a wood burning fireplace and a separate kitchen/dining room, also with a wood burning fireplace. The master bedroom is on the first floor with a large desk and reading area, if you must do work will vacationing. Upstairs are three bedroom, with one specifically for kids, including bunk beds and a cot or a crib (depending on your desires). There are window AC units throughout the house and in every bedroom. The internet is strong, there is a large screen TV with HBO in the family room , a washer and dryer in the basement and a dishwasher in the kitchen.

The home is set on a large multi acre lot with gardens, a spacious deck with comfortable chaise lounges, a solid wooden picnic table and a Weber Grill; a perfect spot for outdoor relaxing, drinks or dining. You won't see or hear your neighbors in this quiet idyl but you will be near to all of the things you love about Wellfleet; beaches, the docks, the olde town and beautiful walks

Mayo Beach is just 200 yards from the house where you can swim, walk, kayak and play. You are only a three minute drive from the Chequessett yacht & Country Club with public access to golf and tennis. Kids can walk five minutes to the town playground off Mayo Beach. The town pier and restaurants like The Pearl, The Bookstore, mack’s and Ciraldi are less than a ten minute walk and the center of town is about 15-20 minutes by foot or less than ten minutes by car. Numerous galleries are even closer!

As a protective measure against the spread of covid 19, we request that renters bring their own sheets and towels. We have a washer and dryer which you can use to clean them as often as you like.

We have 5-6 beach chairs. Should you like to use them to take to the beach

Get ready for a good time in Wellfleet!!

    We will be back again and again

    Been visiting Wellfleet for 70 years. Number of bedrooms needed has changed over the years. Visit with one daughter and her husband, two young children, and another adult daughter. Location is key. Bay side of route 6, walkability to town, pier, playground, and Mayo Beach. We have it here. Very quiet. Attractive property. Can't see neighbors. Homey, comfortable, supplied with all that you need. Large dining room and living room. Owner is very responsive and easily reached. Stayed here in 2022, 2023, and have already booked for 2024! show more show less

    Another Amazing Year at an Amazing location

    This was I think our 4th year staying at the cottage. It is truly an amazing home and well taken care of. Richard is an amazing host and makes us feel so very welcome. He truly offers the best hospitality.
    The home is spacious, clean and welcoming.
    I bring my kids and grandkids and we love the location

    Wonderful Stay

    This is a great house in a very nice location. The house is secluded and close to town, the beach, and our favorite walk on Great Island. It is very comfortable, roomy, and clean.

    The owner is accessible and helpful. He was very helpful when we had a few small problems, like accidentally locking ourselves out of the bedroom. We wished we could stay longer and will come back soon.

    Great family home. Has everything you need for a family beach vacation. Clean & spacious.

    Nicely hidden off the road, but still a short, easy walk to Mayo Beach, or the Pier, and only a bit longer to the shops and restaurants on Main & Commercial Streets. Richard is thoughtful & attentive to the needs of the home & renters. Will be back next year!

    Beautiful

    We have stayed at many cottages over the years and when we find one we like we go back to it. The one we normally use is now occupied full time by retired owners, so we searched and decided to give this one a chance and so happy we did!!!

    The house felt like home with all the amenities!! Richard the owner was kind, attentive and offered suggestions. The house is exceptionally clean and amazing location. We had the entire family with grandchild and had plenty of room!! The yard makes you feel like you are in a private wooded secret spot while right in town!!! We Walked everyday to the beach....we will definitely be back next year!!!

    Thank you Richard for allowing us to spend an amazing and emotional week in your home!!! The only thing we kind of missed was the outside shower, but 2 bathrooms helped!
