This is the first time we traveled back to Wellfleet since the early 1990's. The wait was well worth it. This home was perfect in so many respects. Richard, a gracious owner, was accessible for our questions and called a week in advance to make sure I had no concerns.

The walk across the road on a route outlined in Richard's house guide took us down to the Cove at low tide. Lovely.

The fun games like scrabble, corn hole, and ping pong (didn't even get to the air hockey and foosball) kept us busy when we weren't hanging out in the spacious living room or on the deck out back.

And what can I say about the kitchen—everything you could ever want—highest end appliances and drawers that closed with a feather touch of the hand.

Best part for me personally was the huge TV and comfortable viewing room—you see I am Phillies Phanatic and I just had to be able to watch the Phillies. Sad to say, they lost, but the house made the loss not only bearable, but forgettable.

So as my wife and I celebrated our 42nd anniversary, I can absolutely say it will not be another several decades until we return. show more show less

Heron Cove is a newly-renovated property that is thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated. The 3 levels provide great privacy for a family while, at the same time, the open kitchen/living room and outside decks provide wonderful gathering spots for socializing. It is impeccably clean. Heron Cove is beautifully situated in the magical Wellfleet woods. It is strategically located close to the bay and ocean beaches as well as Wellfleet Center. Our stay in Wellfleet was as perfect as it could have been, and our family all think this house anchored us in our joy. We have rented in Wellfleet before, and have many friends who have rented in Wellfleet so we are very familiar with what kind of housing is available. We also know that nothing in Wellfleet is more than a 10 minute drive from anywhere else. Indian Neck is the perfect neighborhood for us. A minute from Dunkies, 3 minutes from our favorite bay beach, 6 minutes from the best pond, and a whopping 10 minutes to Newcomb. So what's left to consider is the actual location. And it's heaven. Walkable neighborhood with lovely views just steps away, with wild turkeys to surprise you! The property is lovely, with a pair of Adirondack chairs nestled in the woods overlooking the FABULOUS deck. And oh, the deck! Perfect for entertaining. We spent a drizzly afternoon under the MASSIVE umbrella reading books! The interior is where it all matters though. This home has been renovated recently with a really critical eye. Every socket is placed just where you need it, every light switch makes sense. We cooked large meals for friends in the fully stocked kitchen and wanted for nothing. We did laundry every other day and these machines are twice as fast as mine at home. Beds are firm yet soft, the AC is perfect, water pressure is good, I could go on and on. We spent a week at this home in Wellfleet during July, 2023. The house is perfect; every inch of it is new, clean and beautiful! The kitchen is extremely well organized and equipped. Rooms are spacious and bright. The outdoor space supports a large crowd, and the outdoor shower was our family's favorite. The downstairs was perfect for watching a series on one of many streaming stations (also provided), and air hockey and foosball games were a hit. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. What a treat it was to stay in Heron Cove and be back in Wellfleet again! Richard was easy to deal with, very responsive and always so helpful. It's clear so much thought went into building this home from the high-end appliances, to the foot wash, 3 1/2 bathrooms plus a fabulous outdoor shower, sprawling deck and more! The tv room and table games were great - they kept my 20 something kids and their friends home every evening. The house is in a great location as well - close to town, bay beaches and the ocean. We had a fantastic vacation at this lovely newly renovated home. It is gorgeous, comfortable, and in a terrific location. A short walk up the road led to a beautiful sunset over the bay & a trail by the water. There is a ton of room for entertaining, both indoors and on the deck with a table and 3 sofas. The beds were very comfortable with Garnet Hill bedding. Location is great - easy to get to all of the great sites and beaches in Wellfleet.

We had a perfect stay at this newly renovated home. The owners thought of everything! We loved the kitchen, the deck, the tv room, the outdoor shower, and comfortable beds. The extra touches provided by the owners made this the best cape home I have ever stayed at. We are looking forward to staying again. The owners were available to address any issues.
