Description

The cottage has been fully renovated, inside and out, including new kitchen and new bathroom. The open layout of the cottage is flooded with natural light. There is a mini-split for AC/Heat which keep the entire cottage at the temperature of your choice. There is also a ceiling fan for more air circulation and all new windows and skylights you can easily open or close. Above the kitchen and dining room area there is a high vaulted ceiling and sliding glass doors onto the backyard deck. The deck runs the length of the cottage and includes a spacious outdoor shower. It looks out onto the large secluded yard and the Herring River conservation area.

The cottage is also equipped with a garage for storage and has a W/D, a ping pong table, and dartboard. Play a game, dry your towels, store your bikes, paddle board or whatever other beach toys you may have and feel free to use the extra beach chairs.

From the cottage it is a short walk into Wellfleet town center. First stop is Flying Fish serving morning coffee, lunch and dinner or continue to Main Street for ice cream or to buy local produce & fish at Hatch's market.

A short drive or bike ride takes you to the ocean side Newcomb Hollow Beach, 2.8 miles away. When you come to Ocean View Drive go left to Newcomb Hollow Beach or turn right and you will find; Cahoon Hollow Beach, White Crest Beach and LeCount Hollow Beach, take your pick! On your way to the beaches you will pass some fresh water ponds, Long pond, Gull pond to name a few.     Lovely summer cottage

    Amazingly cottage in just about the center of Wellfleet. The new renovation makes excellent use of space, light and air conditioning to form an amazingly comfortable space. Everything our small family of four likes to do is a short trip away. We had a last minute request of the owners and they couldn't have been easier to work with. Just a lovely experience all around.

    Lovely Cottage

    This is a terrific rental, close to town and a very short drive to one of the best beaches in Wellfleet, Newcomb Hollow. The cottage has been thoughtfully renovated and the layout gives you plenty of space to spread out. We loved our stay and hope to return.

    This is a hidden gem!

    To walk up the stone steps to this beautiful cottage is to feel like you are walking into your own secret garden, and yet the town center is within walking distance, and the ocean and fresh water swimming is just a short drive away. We enjoyed having the option to walk to an art gallery or a nice restaurant with a water view when we wanted. The cottage is newly renovated, bright and airy and super comfortable. Our hosts were very accommodating, but you wont need them because they have created a wonderful binder that tells you all you need to know about the home and the surrounding area.     Relaxing Retreat

    We are excited to have the privilege of being the first to review this cottage after our first stay in Wellfleet. After a week of exploration, we absolutely fell in love with the town. There are so many things to do in the area and the cottage was situated in a perfect place to serve as our home base. The cottage is right off the main road, yet it is secluded and imparts a country beach feel. It was perfectly sized for our family of four (two young kids) and a small dog.

    The cottage is freshly renovated and tastefully done. It was clean from top to bottom. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics and had all the tools we needed for our week long stay. The instructions from the owners were clear and helpful. They were always very responsive to all of our questions.

    Would we stay here again? Absolutely! We would not hesitate to return for our next journey down the cape!     show more show less
