Relax in Hot Tub, Walk to Town! Waterviews - Newly Renovated

I have been a visitor to Wellfleet almost every summer since I was a baby, and brought newbie friends to experience it this year. There was plenty of space for our group of 2 couples, 2 singles, and 2 kids. We loved the proximity to town and made a habit of walking over Uncle Tim's Bridge to the marketplace, Hatch's, and A Nice Cream Stop. We spent time seal-spotting at Newcomb Hollow beach, swimming at Duck Pond, and sunset viewing at Duck Harbor. Our intrepid group also hiked to the end of Jeremy Point and lived to tell the tale. The hot tub was a welcome treat after that feat. Denise and Desi were quick and responsive to replace the propane tank on the grill for us, and we had no other issues the week we were there. We would definitely stay again!

To celebrate our recent retirements, we rented this home for most of June and July. It was a great house for hosting the myriad family and friends who visited us. The original part of the house is charming—two separate and comfy sitting rooms for chatting, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles (the house has a nice selection), or watching TV. (It was a pleasant surprise that there is basic cable, so we could watch a few World Cup games.) Our guests found the bedrooms to be comfortable, although tall people had to duck a bit upstairs. (Folks were a lot shorter back when the original house was built.) The primary suite where we stayed is very comfortable. The kitchen is roomy and well appointed. And the screened-in porch is the ideal location to enjoy meals — cool, breezy and plenty of birds in the morning. While we are not hot-tub people ourselves, plenty of guests enjoyed that amenity. The outdoor shower was ideal for rinsing off or washing up after a day at the beach, the ponds or the golf course. And while we needed them only for a few days, the room air conditioners were most welcome.

What makes this home particularly attractive is its location. It's a short—and beautiful—walk to Uncle Tim's Bridge leading to downtown Wellfleet. Rather than having to drive all the time, we could easily walk to get coffee or breakfast (recommend Cape to Cape and Flying Fish), shop, go to the farmer's market on Wednesday, or eat dinner (another recommendation: Winslow's Tavern). If you're feeling a bit more energetic, you could even walk to the Wellfleet Pier. At the same time, the house is just a couple of blocks from Route 6, so it was easy to get on the roads leading to the beaches, the ponds, Provincetown or anywhere else.

Desi and Denise are wonderful hosts. Their communication before and during our extended stay was always prompt and helpful. And they stopped by (with advance warning) to address a couple of minor issues that came up. They clearly love Wellfleet and the home.

We just had a wonderful 2-week stay with our 3 boys. The house is well located within walking distance to all of the great restaurants, shops, and galleries in Wellfleet. Short drive to beaches. The hot tub and fire pit were perfect for the cool evenings. Kitchen is well equipped. Lots of games and puzzles. Nice big TV with cable.

The house also comes with lots of bath and beach towels, and linens for all of the (many!) beds, which is rare for rental houses on the outer cape! The owner, Denise, was quick to respond to our questions. We look forward to returning.

The location by the cove was great for walks and runs. The house has plenty of room. We especially liked the two living rooms. One for eating and activities, one for TV.

The outdoor area was also great. We ate a lot at the outdoor table, used the firepit and hot tub a few times. It was nice to gather around the outdoor table at the end of the day.

A delightful place to stay; very comfortable (and clean!) accommodations that afford privacy to all (we were a group of 10) with a nice quiet gathering space outside including a peekaboo view of Wellfleet Harbor. We enjoyed the screened in patio area when the weather didn't fully cooperate. We also took advantage of the short walking path (via Uncle Tim's Bridge) into Wellfleet town center. It's becoming a bit of a cliche these days but our hosts really seemed eager to meet/exceed our expectations. So; thank you for that, you succeeded and thank you for wonderful week!

This house was fantastic! So much outdoor space, good size bedrooms, outdoor shower. All the things we love. The location was beautiful; so private and with a view of the pier. We loved using the hot tub at night after the kids went to bed, the firepit too!
We love Wellfleet and having a great place to stay makes it even more special.

This house is meant for family vacations.  One of the best situations in Wellfleet - in view of the harbor, and easy walk and access to the town. Also very quiet as it is between two adjacent dead end streets. We had a GREAT week, and took advantage of all that it offered;  from the fire pit to the hot tub, to playing wiffle ball in the yard.  Just right for multi generational groups.  The master suite is very comfortable - a great king bed, en suite bathroom and access to the yard through our own door!  Denise is very accommodating and accessible, and a pleasure to deal with.  All in all, I would recommend this Wellfleet property.

Thank you for welcoming us to this lovely home. We explored sea, bay and kettle ponds. Cousins grew closer and family reunited. Friends too! Wishing all others a sweet stay in Wellfleet too. What a Cape Cod treasure!!!

WHAT A GREAT PLACE!!! LOVED sharing time with all my family (son, wife, granddaughter from NJ and son and wife from CA). I'm a grateful, lucky and proud Papa!

FANTASTIC STAY!! Mayo Beach and Marconi Beach were family favorites. Mac's on the Pier had some of the best fried fish I've ever had! Great cycling down Ocean Drive and the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Hot tub was a HUGE bonus for the family! So grateful for this place and lots of quality time with loved ones. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

What a treat this place was! It was a respite from the beach with everything we needed for our large family vacation. So many nice walks to the marshes, Tim's Bridge to town and beach! The hot tub and screened porch were the hot spots! Thanks for EVERYTHING! PS - A special surprise from our daughter Margaret - we painted some shells and hid them for other kiddos to find. Enjoy xo
