A wonderful house with spectacular view

We have stayed in Wellfleet many times and this is the best location and view we have ever had. The back deck and outdoor view are great. We also loved the fire pit. The proximity to town for walking, or walking along the sand behind the house, were also perfect. The beds were very comfortable and use of linens, beach chairs was so helpful! Susan was incredibly responsive and helpful as well!

Our week's experience in this summer rental was lovely. This 300-year-old house hosted our family ((parents, grandparent, and young adult grandchildren) with space, a beautiful view, and easy walking accessibility to the town of Wellfleet. The updated modern kitchen made cooking and dining a breeze (no pun intended) as did the outside grill and patio. In addition, the space and layout of the house allowed the people in our group to enjoy togetherness as well as privacy. Our stay at this wonderful house on the always stunning Wellfleet Harbor was magical from start to finish.

The new owners of this very old "Colonial Era" house have lovingly given it lots of new updates and were a pleasure to talk to about restaurant suggestions and things to do in the vicinity.

My husband enjoyed walking his Paddleboard down the front yard and putting it in the harbor near the old train tracks. It was great fun watching him paddleboard around Wellfleet Harbor when the tide was high

As it was the height of summer, we spent a great deal of time and all of our evenings on the deck out front watching the ever-changing scenery and tides and listening to the sounds of music coming from the Wellfleet Pier on evenings when they had live music.

We also enjoyed walking across Uncle Tim's Bridge in the morning to get food from the Wellfleet Market and at night to go to dinner.

Don't miss Mac's Shack in Wellfleet as their food is among the best, freshest and most creative of any we have had on the Cape.

It was truly a lovely, lovely experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this Wellfleet home over the week of July 4th. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and right at home. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and had that classic Cape charm we were hoping for. It was the perfect home base for beach days, exploring the area, and enjoying some much-needed downtime.

One of the best parts of the experience was how attentive and responsive Susan, the homeowner, was. Any time we had a question or needed something, she got back to us quickly and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay without worry.

The location was ideal—tucked away in a peaceful setting, but just a short and easy walk to town. Our 15-year-old son loved the independence of walking in on his own, and it also made for a perfect morning walk with our dogs before starting the day.

We especially loved the quiet deck for coffee in the mornings and the comfortable living room to unwind in the evenings. Thank you, Susan, for sharing your home and for being such a thoughtful and gracious host. We're already looking forward to coming back! show more show less

My wife and I had the great good fortune this spring of being the very first guests in this newly remodeled historic home in Wellfleet, on a hillside overlooking the marina and harbor. We are long-time renters in the town, having stayed in a number of locations, and this is our absolute favorite. We enjoyed the combination of privacy, quiet, and yet easy access via a short walk into the heart of the village of Wellfleet. We heartily recommend this property.
