Enjoy a Wellfleet getaway in this bright and cheery sweet cottage surrounded by 1.5 acres of gardens and trees. The home is centrally located on Rt 6 and less than 1 mile into the center of town. From the long driveway, you can access the old dirt Rail Trail and reach Dyer Pond and Duck Pond in less than a mile. The backyard is filled with gardens and trees providing shade over a cedar playset and Adirondack chairs. The deck has a picnic table and Weber grill. Linens included. Pets/smoking are not allowed.

The large master bedroom is very open and bright. At night, the stars and moon can be seen through the skylight. Next to the master is an office with a desk for a quiet place for remote work or school. The dining room is surrounded by windows and a skylight and you might see birds enjoying a bath and possibly a flock of turkeys stroll by while you have your morning coffee. The cozy guest room has a twin bed with a twin trundle that can be pulled out for additional guests or family members. The house has many windows and screen doors for a wonderful cross breeze, or use the A/C if you prefer.<br /> <br /> A little history: This house was Wellfleet's schoolhouse between 1900-1938! There are still some locals in town who remember attending school there. It was moved from Ryder Ct (in Wellfleet's town center) to the present location in 1956. The master bedroom and dining room were added later.<br /> <br /> Please note, the following rules are strictly enforced: NO smoking/e-cigarettes/vapes/drugs, parties, fireplace use, or outdoor fires.
