Modern Waterfront with Spectacular Views of Cape Cod Bay

This is beautiful 3 bedroom house with an excellent location. It is clean and light and fresh and the best view in Wellfleet. We have stayed here for a week for 4 years in a row, and we look forward to it every year.

Stayed for a week in September, and wish we could have stayed longer. This house has everything you would want to relax and enjoy a vacation on the Cape. First, the views, I would have to agree they are some of the best on Cape Cod. Amazing sunsets, bird watching, saw whales one day, and also schools of jumping fish, and even a porpoise in the cove in front of the house all while sitting on the expansive deck. At night, great star gazing, as long as there is no full moon! The walk to the beach is down a long set of well constructed stairs, of which we took two paddle boards down and enjoyed paddling in the cove which is an extension of Wellfleet Harbor and saw numerous sea turtles. The home itself is everything you would want. Very clean and modern with a wall of windows to enjoy the views even on "bad weather" days when you don't want to be on the deck.

Location is perfect, you can walk from the home to miles of trails on Great Island which is part of the National Seashore. We rode bikes into town which is less than two miles away. I went surfing several times, the house is only 10-20 mins away from some of the best oceanside beaches on Cape Cod. "Head of the Meadow", Newcomb Hollow Beach, and Marconi's are some of my favorite. Also can't forget Cathie and Jack, the owners, who were very gracious, helpful and always available to answer any questions we may had. All and all, awesome home and location which made for a great relaxing vacation. We plan to return. show more show less

We spent many summers with our children, now young adults, in Wellfleet. After a hiatus, it called us back this summer. It's a magical and relaxing spot, and this summer all the more so given our rental of this simply spectacular home in Wellfleet's prime Chequessett Neck area. Owners Cathie and Jack are simply lovely and made the rental process easy. The house is spacious, modern and comfortably laid out for a family spending a week at the beach, bay or pond. Stunning views of the bay and bay sunsets from giant floor to ceiling windows. As I remarked to Cathie more than once, those views "never get old." Spacious and fully equipped kitchen with all the modern amenities, and some unexpected features, like a Sonos wireless music system, made our stay heavenly. We had a wonderful vacation here. From the minute we parked our car and walked the short pretty path the front door, I was delighted. The path has pretty wildflowers, stone and sea shells and it leads to a gorgeous door with large windows that let you see straight thru to the water. Just fabulous.

We loved the large windows, that brought in so much light and let us see the beautiful view. we enjoyed sitting outside both day and night and loved the proximity to all of our favorite Wellfleet places including the beaches, ponds, shops, galleries and restaurants.

The master bedroom was terrific—with doors to the deck outside, great four poster bed, and nice bathroom and closets. We loved the art, puzzles and books that can be found in the house. My guests enjoyed their beautiful view upstairs as well.

I highly recommend this house and location for a Cape Cod trip and look forward to going back soon!!

We've spent several weeks each summer at this home for each of the past 10 years and have loved it.

With so many properties for rent on the Cape, we feel lucky to have found this contemporary-style home with such a spectacular setting. The bank of sliding glass doors gives access to the deck and whether inside or out it's a pleasure being able to look up from a meal or over the top of a book to see the view of Cape Cod Bay and Great Island. The scenery changing with the tides and the sky color of the setting sun is mesmerizing.

The house is air-conditioned, but over all our stays we've rarely needed to use it, since the house is high enough off of the water to get a good, steady breeze off the bay.

The kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear (whether we've used the stove, oven, or gas grill) and we've always found whatever we needed.

Over the years we've ended up spending most of our beach time at the ocean beaches, but there are several nice bay-beach access points near-by. The property description suggests that the house has access to a beach, but I think a somewhat better description is that the house has access to the bay. At high tide you can walk down the stairs to get access to the water, but it isn't what many would picture as a sandy Cape Cod beach with place for chairs, sun umbrella, and cooler.

We have shared our time at this house with 2 other couples (for long weekends) and sometimes with our adult kids (for as much as a week at a time), and have always found it wonderfully comfortable place for everyone.

The owners are warm and gracious hosts. They are attentive and responsive and it's been a joy to get to know them.

We have been renting this lovely home each summer for over a decade now. The house is clean, well-appointed, and has magical sunsets overlooking a beautiful spot on Cape Cod Bay. The wall of windows brings the outside in so even if the weather is not cooperating you can still enjoy the beauty of the area. The owners Cathie and Jack are lovely and helpful with anything we have ever needed. Our daughters are now 5 and 7 and they frequently ask when we are returning to "our beach house". We have so many special memories here and we all look forward to our visit each year. show more show less
