''Idle Time'' Oceanfront Beach House

We've stayed twice at Idle Time this offseason - in December and March. The views of the water from the porch and decks are amazing! The house is comfortable and relaxing.

Terry and Ed are very accommodating and wonderful to work with. We hope to return again in the fall!

We stayed at Idle Time the end of Jan 2021 and loved the house. Unobstructed views of Lewis Bay were beautiful, and the house is cozy and very clean. We will be back!

This house is absolutely stunning! This is our third year renting from Terri and Ed and we have already booked for next year. We visit each year with my father who is older and he loves staying in the sunroom. It works out perfect as there is also a full bath on the main floor so he does not need to go up and down stairs if he can't. The house is always clean on our arrival. We add on the linen package so we do not need to worry about sheets, towels or beach towels.

This year was obviously different due to COVID-19 but my kids love the house as much as we do and we're happy to "chill" on the decks or lower patio. The views are spectacular especially sunsets. The house overlooks Lewis Bay and my kids love to explore the channel at low tide to see what creatures they will find. The beach is literally your backyard!

Terri had told me when I first spoke with her about renting the house that she wants this house to feel like your home while you are there and it absolutely does! Terri and Ed have been awesome. If you have questions or concerns (we couldn't get onto WIFI) they immediately answer them and take care of you.

We have been making memories with our family here for about 13 years! The grandchildren love it here at Idle Time, which is centrally located to many kids' activities and many great restaurants! The house is within walking distance to a beach which was a top priority for us when house searching. The new house updates are wonderful, great deck views and Terri and Ed are very accommodating. We've already booked for another visit next year to our home away from home!

We spent a week at the house and really enjoyed ourselves! Even though it is close to everything, the setting is quiet and peaceful. What a treat to sit and read with a breeze off the water. The master bedroom was so comfortable, as was the guest room upstairs. Not sure how it would be to use the sunporch for sleeping. Our interactions with Terri and Ed were so pleasant. We look forward to returning.

We have been coming to Idle Time for 16 years and have become friends with Terri and Ed. Great hosts and an amazing house with spectacular views. Very comfortable house and you can sit in the sunroom and relax and read. The views are beautiful. So much to do, so little time. Thanks you for our years of memories.

First trip to Cape Cod and enjoyed everything about it. Staying at Idle Time is a treat. Beautiful area and beautiful house with a perfect Cape Cod view! Location of home is perfect as it is about Mid Cape and close to everything in any direction - including ferries and whale watching. Owners are very nice and helpful. I really can’t imagine a better base for a Cape Cod vacation!

This is my 9th or 10th year at Idle Time and I love it more every year! The view from the rear decks are incredible and the Mid-Cape location is just perfect. Terri and Ed are the best owners and friends anyone could ask for. Looking forward to next year's visit already.

Once again the Jersey crew spent an amazing winter weekend at Idle Time in Feb. 2014. We cannot rave enough about this perfectly situated, peaceful sanctuary that melts away all the stress and tensions one may have accumulated over time. We choose to visit Idle Time in November and February for the past 14 or 1 5 years. I fell in love with the house from this website just from the pictures alone back years ago. Over these years we've developed a wonderful friendship with Terri and Ed, which we treasure. Don't waste a second thought about visiting the Cape and blissfully relaxing at Idle Time, a wonderful place to stay regardless of what time of the year you grace the Cape. show more show less

Our 10th visit to Idle Time in 11years! The house is amazing, new construction upstairs is absolutely gorgeous-every detail taken into consideration. Views galore! Love the house, the relationship with Terri and Ed, and the fact that you can just relax! Thank you.
