20 years ago we first rented 2 Doherty at the Great Island Ocean Club and we've been back every year since. We affectionately call this quaint home by the sea "The Plex". We always take both sides and it's perfect for our family of five. From the newly renovated kitchens and bathrooms to the large family rooms, the house is just the right size to accommodate our vacations.
The close proximity to the beloved "Gazebo" is key for us and it's about a minute walk to the pristine private beach overlooking Nantucket sound. If your looking for a memorable Cape Cod experience you have found the right place. Enjoy!

Greetings Owners of 2A-2B! This is actually our 2nd visit to your home and our 1st entry. But it well encompass both visits by saying this is the perfect get away for 2 couples. The beach is so beautiful, quiet and breezy. Friendly neighbors all around and the cottages are so cozy and private. Just the perfect size for us. We will come back every year for a long time to come. Many thanks for sharing your home.

Although the weather has not been as delightful as last year, we have had a relaxing, pleasant week. Since we rented both sides of this adorable cottage, it has enabled us to have "our own space" and visits and TV individual to each of us. Today is a "ten" so we are off to the beach one last time for the year. Hope to visit again next year.

What a great week. We had a wonderful week. My 2 grandsons, 5 yr and 18 mos, had so much fun. Short walks to the beach and pool. The cottage is lovely and the landscaping so pretty. Will be back in 2014. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The place was spotless and fully equipped with everything we would want. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed our time on the beach-and the lobster rolls! We'll see you again.

In serious need of a getaway to my "home away from home'. Tough start of the year with illness. Lots of stress at home. But I come here, lose track of time, listen to the ocean and enjoy this cozy cottage. So many memories spanning 30 years of coming here from the time my children were babies. Now I am a grandmother and look forward to sharing this little slice of heaven with them.

I have been coming to Great Island with various friends and family for 25 years, and have found this week at your cottage to be one of my most enjoyable. The weather has been a total delight-warm days and cool nights-my favorite. I love, love the decor of your cottage...the all white furniture and accessories with unique beach touches has made for the perfect retreat for my son and I. We hope to visit again next summer.

Thank you for renting out your adorable cottage. It is very cute and comfortable and well stocked. We have been coming to Great Island Ocean Club for about 7 years now renting different size homes for our needs. This year my daughters couldn't come because one is expecting a child in August and the other one could not get time off so we brought my 80+ parents up. It was nice that they had their own side and we had ours. We definitely would rent here again. A big plus was the WiFi so we could keep in touch with our family back home. Thanks again. Overall we loved renting your place!

What a beautiful and cozy cottage! We have enjoyed such a delightful week here. The weather has cooperated and we were able to enjoy the beach. It was so peaceful and relaxing to sit on the beach, read a book and gaze out to the sea. It did us a world of good. Your cottage is so lovely and we love the white decor. We leave this cottage with great memories that will carry us through the coming months. We will remember our delight on arrival at the very pretty decor and beautifully designed accommodations. We will remember Hurricane Irene and her by-passing us for the most part! We will relish our memory of the beautiful sandy beach, the lovely greenery surrounding the homes-the peacefulness and all this will prod us to return as soon as possible.

We have enjoyed an awesome week in this lovely white cottage. Perfect weather, beautiful surroundings, great company. A place we would happily return to.

We so enjoyed our vacation in your adorable "cottage by the sea". Everything is so relaxing and calm. The bed is very comfortable and the bedroom is very quiet at night with the air conditioners running. You have stocked your kitchen with everything we could have needed.
