The Highland House Museum occupies one of Truro's best known landmarks, the 1907 Highland House Hotel. Exhibits provide fascinating insight into the lives of the people of Truro dating back to early European settlers and the Native Americans that preceded them.

The first floor parlors display the opulent furnishings and grand lifestyle that had come to replace the island's once dominant sober Quaker aesthetic.
