About Nantucket Atheneum Dance Festival...Join us for the twelfth year of the Nantucket Atheneum Dance Festival featuring Artistic Director Tyler Angle and world class stars from the New York City Ballet, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Pacific Northwest Ballet. The festival includes free programs for all ages and culminates with two evening performances. Tickets go on sale July 1st. This year’s performances includes dance pieces from classical and contemporary choreographers and the dancers will be accompanied by live music for the majority of the program. The Nantucket Atheneum Dance Festival, the library’s major fundraising event, brings the best of ballet – dancers, musicians and choreographers – to the island for performances in an intimate, air conditioned venue.
