My family and I were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful home in Martha's Vineyard. The house is perfect in many ways. It is lovingly decorated, comfortable, and situated in a very beautiful, private and peaceful setting. The layout of the home was a great fit for our family of 5. We enjoyed all the books very much, and my younger boys loved the toys and games on the second floor. The house was well equipped and I loved cooking in the kitchen. The area has great beaches, a wonderful general store and a few places to eat. We gad a delightful meal at the Chilmark Tavern one night. We hope to return one day!

It was our good fortune to be able to stay at this well-equipped Chilmark home nestled into the heart of the Vineyard. The home was the right respite for our over planned day-to-day. Our family of four (kids' aged 6 and 8) enjoyed star gazing, pumpkin picking (and carving), beach going (Menemsha, Lucy Vincent, Philbin, Moshup, Jetty and Chappy, too), wildlife watching (ospreys, hermit crabs, turkeys and turtles) and eating delicacies from Chilmark General Store, Morning Glory Farm and Orange Peel Bakery among others. We came with few plans and left feeling rested and fulfilled. Our hosts treated us as special guests with personal touches such as fresh flowers, a Vineyard-themed puzzle and welcome card. They even surprised us with a thoughtful birthday gift. What a welcome that makes us want to return. We found the Vineyard and Vineyarders down-to-earth, kind and open-hearted.

This is such a lovely home. Well appointed with a great kitchen and comfortable beds. Very clean yet homey. The grounds are beautiful with a little path through the woods over spongy moss to a hidden fire pit and flowing stream. The silent drive connects to a main road that goes to a fabulous local grocery with delicious healthy meals and bakeries, fish stores and beaches. Menenmsha is minutes away with fresh fish and a local beach
The outdoor shower was a special delight after a day at Lucy Vincent Beach. Snuggling up on the couch in the well appointed library was a nightly treat.
Nan and Warren are respectful and delightful.
We spent a truly carefree week at Martha's Vineyard. Thank you.

This house exceeded our expectations. The house is spacious, beautiful, and equipped with every amenity. The property is amazing with a giant yard for children to run and play. The location is perfect for going to Lucy Vincent and Menemsha. The family had a memorable vacation and we are looking forward to renting it again next year. The homeowners are gracious hosts. Overall, it was a perfect vacation and we enjoyed all of the splendor MV has to offer.

We had a fantastic vacation at this beautiful home up-island at the Vineyard. The setting is truly idyllic and the hosts, Nan, Warren and Alex, were gracious and kind. Can't recommend this spot enough.

Our family of five stayed here for two weeks. We loved the proximity to our favorite beaches, as well as the sense of seclusion (even though it's a 1/2 mile to the Chilmark Store).

Nan and Warren were excellent hosts - responsive and respectful. Their home is warm and welcoming.

The Doty house is wonderful and homey. The Doty's are extremely responsive and lovely owners. Because we were moving from another rental, we asked the Doty's if we could leave our suitcases with them until check-in. They also provided us with a refrigerator for our perishables. That was a real gift.

We wanted a drying rack for wet clothes and within a few minutes a large wooden one was on the porch. It was perfect.

I loved the eco friendly products for laundry and dishwashing. We loved the music we could play from older records. Also, the library had the most interesting books. The TV worked extremely well and we able to follow shows we love.

It is a fine place in a rustic wooded setting right near a running creek.

We loved our stay in Chilmark. The property was beautiful and full of little nooks inside and out to explore and relax. The library is fantastic — everyone found something interesting for them. The grounds are gorgeous we had a great time relaxing outside. The property was spotless clean and well sanitized. Hope to come back next year!

We had the most wonderful time with our family at this amazing home in the woods. Everything was spotless, high quality simplicity and we could not have been happier. The owners are wonderful, friendly and kind who made sure everything was just perfect. The property has so much private land that it was a true getaway. Lucy Vincent beach is just over a mile away and it is now our favorite beach ever. Menemsha sunsets are beautiful with a bite to eat from one of the fish markets. We can't wait to come back!

Staying at the Doty House was a wonderful experience! The house and yard are spectacular and all was immaculate and in strict Covid regulation order. It was a great location for access to Menemsha fishing and sunsets as well as the enjoyment of accessing Lucy Vincent and Squib beautiful beaches. Warren and Nan are the creme de la creme of hosts checking on any possible needs to insure our stay was perfect...AND it was!
